Unbelievable. I got my nails done an hour ago at JC Fancy, and my thumb is still bleeding from where the manicurist nicked me (and I really hope all the things she was using to try, in vain, to stop the bleeding were hygienic). Also, another one of my nails chipped within a half hour of leaving. Why would she tell me I was done if there was a chance my nails weren't dry yet?! I was getting a mani-pedi for my wedding this weekend, so now I will have to pay to get it redone elsewhere. And, to make matters worse, my manicurist was extremely sick, constantly coughing and sneezing. I really just cannot believe how horrible the service was. The pedicure is one of the best I have ever had, especially for the price! They massage your back and arms in addition to your legs while your toes dry. You do not feel rushed here. If you want someone with strong hands, ask for Irene! Read Less

Love this salon. Really great service and personable manicurists. They give you a massage with nail services which is a nice bonus. I love JC Fancy and everyone who works there. I've been to many nail salons in Philly and this has been my go to for last year+. I have probably had dozens of manis and pedis done here, gel and normal, and they have always turned out fabulous! At this point they know me by name and they are so sweet and fun to talk to. Not to mention every mani or pedi comes with a free 5 minute neck and back massage while your nails are drying (ugh HELLO it's amazing). I can't say enough about JC Fancy. I'll admit the first time I came here I wasn't impressed. I tried walking in and they were not able to accommodate me, which has never happened to me at any nail salon. They were nice about it, but I find scheduling appointments to be stressful and inconvenient. I also noticed the prices were kinda steep- $35 for a gel mani? I was paying $25 before. But I had a gift card, so I scheduled an appointment and I thought this better be the best damn manicure of my life. Otherwise I wouldn't have returned to this salon.. Well it was the best damn manicure of my life! First let's discuss the process- usually when I would get gel other salons would sand my nails down (which are already super thin) to a point where the gel wasn't helping me grow my nails, it made them worse! Here to my surprise they didn't sand them at all, just buffed them. Whaaaaat? They can do that? AWESOME. The woman had me pick several colors and painted them on her own fingernail so I could see which color I really wanted. I'm glad she did because it looked way different and I would have been unhappy with my original choice. She even suggested a color which I ended up getting. I love how much they care about you being satisfied. That is superb customer service. Next after getting the best gel mani of my life, I also received the best massage while my nails were drying. It was long and she found knots in my shoulder and worked them out. I get a monthly massage that doesn't feel as good! They really know what they're doing. Then she came and put lotion on my hands and massaged those too! I was thoroughly impressed. Bottom line- it's a little more than the average salon, but 110% worth it. Getting my nails done is no longer a chore, it's an experience I look forward to and I know I will leave this salon feeling relaxed and satisfied with my nails. Great find! Read Less
