My wife had her routine five week appointment today and took my son and daughter with her. The staff could not have been any nicer to my children. In addition, two stylist worked together to fit in my daughter. She looked just like her American Girl Doll when she left with a great hair cut and cute braid. Maria and all the staff are fantastic. This place has been in business forever and there is a reason. I think it's too of the 3 best salons in the city. Maria is my favorite hairdresser ever cut color keratin. Jen did my hair 10 15 years ago and she is great too. High Tech has it all and more the beautiful red hair receptionist is awesome at getting you in. If you want to look like a star try this place I've been everywhere and I only go to Maria there now. If she's booked go to Jen, I think everyone is really good. Today I had my hair and make up done for a special occasion tonight the girls did an awesome job . This is my third time coming to this salon , my first time was in 1999 ,2001 and now 2016 . I give this salon a 100 percent on everything . They make you feel like part of their family . I highly recommend this salon to everyone. I am visiting from Lancaster Country and I had a time limit and they even fit me in . I've had color, highlights, bronde, cuts, up-dos, make up and nails done here. Not once was I disappointed! I even had a color fix done after an unfortunate visit to a different salon. The stylists get trained on the new trends which is fantastic, not so many places do that. So if you want to get NOT a plain-Jane cut, color or whatever it is you want to get done this is the right place for you. I went there to have my makeup done professionally  The staff is snooty.  They try to act friendly but they just miss the mark.  My make up was so heavily applied that I looked like I had a mask on.  Very expensive and they do not listen to what you want.  I also had my hair blown out there and had to come home and redo it!  Not happy at all about my experience there. I ONLY go to Megan at High Tech to get my nails done. She is the best!!! After a regular manicure with Megan, my nails last without chipping for at least a week (sometimes even two). I have been going to her for years, and I will never go to anyone else. She just gets how to care for my nails and toenails (which always break and chip when I do not see Megan on a regular basis). I highly recommend her services if you want beautiful nails. I commute from Rittenhouse just to see Megan!!BONUS: She is really easy to talk to and has many hilarious stories to share! :) Read Less

I used to go down to rittenhouse for great styling and color now i can go half the distance and get a better style and have the pleasure of actually liking the way my stylist Lisa,the owner creates a style that is always on the A List. I went for skin care and make-up. Lovely woman Nini took care of me. Her products were fabulous my skin looks amazing. She did my make-up I wish I had some where to go I looked fabulous! She mixed the foundation for me so it was specific and made just for my skin. It was a wonderful experience and for all that I got and everything done it was not terribly expensive. Awful. You can't even tell you had your haircut when you leave. On top of that they are very high priced, (they charge you for a ""comb-through"" of color!) Their color is awful, looks drab and brassy and they don't deliver the shade (or anything close to it) that they promise. I could have dyed my own hair for 1/10th the price and it would have looked better. I don't mind paying for good quality, this place doesn't offer it. Read Less

A REVIEW ABOUT ""HIGH TECH HAIR SALON."" MY APPOINTMENT WAS FRIDAY (MAY 25, 2007) TO GET MY HAIR HIGHLIGHTED TO LOOK NICE FOR THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND DOWN THE SHORE. MY HAIRDRESSER, MARIE, TOLD ME SHE COULD MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A PHOTO OF REESE WITHERSPOON THAT I HAD SHOWN HER. I TRUSTED HER TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. WHEN ALL WAS FINISHED...I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR AS SHE WAS DRYING MY BURNT WHITE HAIR WITH ROOTS. I WAS FEELING VERY UPSET BUT I GAVE HER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. I PAID 135.00 PLUS 15.00 TIP...AND WENT HOME. THE NEXT DAY DOWN THE SHORE I WASHED IT AND TRIED TO DRY IT OUT...THE BRUSH WOULD NOT GO THROUGH MY HAIR...BECAUSE IT WAS SO DAMAGED. I HAD A HUGE TIGER STRIP ABOVE MY FOREHEAD WHICH MADE ME LOOK RIDICULOUS. MY HUSBAND WAS SHOCKED AS HE LOOKED AT MY HAIR...MY MOTHER ALSO GAVE HER OPINION THAT MY HAIR LOOKED BAD. I THEN WORE A BASEBALL HAT FOR 5 DAYS, CONDITIONED MY HAIR VIGOROUSLY, CRIED, AND WAITED UNTIL THE SALON OPENED ON TUESDAY MORNING. THAT MORNING I SPOKE TO THE RECEPTIONIST AND SHE TOLD ME MARIE WOULD CALL ME BACK...I DID NOT HEAR FROM HER SO I CALLED AND FINALLY SPOKE TO MARIE. SHE THEN SAID SHE WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM BUT AFTER BEING HUMILIATED THE FIRST TIME WHY WOULD I LET HER TOUCH MY HAIR THE SECOND TIME? I THEN ASKED NICELY FOR A REFUND SO I COULD GO GET MY HAIR FIXED. I ASKED HER TO RESPECT MY WISHES OF NOT BEING SATISFIED. SHE SAID THE OWNER, LISA, HAD TO CALL ME BACK. I DID NOT WAIT FOR A PHONE CALL INSTEAD I WENT INTO THE SALON AND SPOKE TO BOTH MARIE AND THE OWNER, LISA. THEY TRIED TO CONVINCE ME MY HAIR WAS OKAY WHILE PICKING AT MY HAIR WITH THEIR FINGERS. I ASK...WHY WOULD I LET YOU FIX MY HAIR IF IT WAS OKAY AND AFTER YOU DAMAGED IT THE FIRST TIME? THEN ME AND MY CHILD AGE 2 WERE THROWN OUT OF THE SALON BY THE OWNER. SHE SAID SHE'D CALL THE POLICE AND TOLD ME NOT TO COME BACK TO HER SALON EVER AGAIN. I WAS SHOCKED/ NOW MY HAIR IS SO VERY DAMAGED ...SO THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING COLOR AT THIS SALON. Read Less
