hands down one of the best nail salons Ive been to in Philly. The staff was super friendly and you don't feel awkward being there like other salons. The have a good amount of polish selections. Also the salon was super clean and affordable! The one downside is tip is cash only so remember that before using your credit card. Read Less

This is probably my favorite nail salon in the area. The entire staff is friendly. Having a glass of wine with your nails is a nice touch. Today was my first time coming to Eminence. It is a nice nail salon. The inside is neat and clean. I got the $35 Spa Pedicure, and a full set, acrylic nails. The pedicure was average. They did take their time, but I feel they focus more on the spa part, messages, hot stone etc., then the actual pedicure. I haven't had a pedi since last summer, so I was in desperate need of one. I feel like she didn't work on my feet and dead skin as much as she could have. When I asked if they had any designs, they told me to just look online. Which is totally fine, but it's nice to see the salons work and designs they can do also. But they didn't have any. They did work a little slower. I was there for about 3.5 hours. The full set was average as well. They do use white acrylic, which I read in another review is because it's cheaper. However my nails were NOT cheap. I got gel nails. No design. I did get my ring finger a different color, but that's it. My total for a spa pedicure and full set with gel was $84. That is A LOT. I asked her to go over the pricing but it was a bit hard to understand. Pedicure was $35 plus $5 for each design so $45 total. Meaning my regular acrylic full set was $40. $23 for the full set, $10 for gel polish (which is expensive for gel compared to most salons). So I am a little lost where the other $8 came from. Anyway, the final look was just good. I was happy with them, except I did have some bubbles on my nails which was odd. The staff is very nice and friendly. I have officially found my new favorite nail salon and the only place I will get my nails done. Eminence Nail Bar is awesome!  My appointment was extremely easy to make. I used yelp to schedule my appointment a few days before I planned to come.  The woman who scheduled my appointment was very prompt,  informative,  and efficient. As I am very picky about my nails and had a bad experience at a prior establishment here in Philly I had many qiestions. The woman I corresponded with got my appointment set up with no hassle. I got right in first thing this morning and I did not have to wait around for anyone.  Ella, the amazing nail technician who cared for me was exceptional.  Because it was my first time there she laid everything out for me price wise and took her time with my nails insuring that I was satisfied every step of the way.  She did beautiful work and I will most certainly continue to patronage their establishment. This is a two week follow up from initial nail appointment. There has been no chipping and gel polish still has a shine. When I originally came in the nail techs were really sweet, quick, and did a great job on my nails. Coming from LA I was skeptical on if they were going to do a good job. Yesterday was my first visit.  I brought my 5 yo granddaughter with me.   We we very happy with the quality of service we received.   My nails are in poor health due to years of sanding from wearing acrylic.   The woman who did my nails could have talked me into a lot of expensive services but instead suggested only what was best for the health of my nails.  My granddaughter felt special, like a little diva.This salon is VERY CLEAN!!   It's also very comfortable and stylish. I was in town for business and was meeting with some important investors. I needed a quick manicure in a bad way for my meeting. I found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a try. The first thing you notice as you go through the door is this place is very clean. The people were very nice. I had to wait for a little bit, as I was a walk in. The gal that did my nails was the manager named Anni (very pretty girl). She was very attentive and wasn't very pushy. She even offered me a glass of wine, which I appreciated and accepted. I want to start off by saying I don't write reviews - ever! But I had to with this nail bar. What set them apart from the rest of the nail salons I've been to was there individually sterilized wrapped tools & the plastic stretch wrap the use to ensure only your feet have touched the pedicure tub. So I'll start off by saying the girls in here are beautiful, nice personalities, and the salon was beautiful. They had a lot of polishes, but alot of them were similar. My nails turned out nice and my pedicure and full set were acceptable-- Dee Did all of my work. They offered me water (not wine) which was a nice gesture.  I got there at 1:30 got in the pedicure chair right away and did not leave until 4:25--work was pretty slow. But I will not be returning for the following reasons:--Pricing is Listed on thr menu differently than what I was charged. I was charged for Nail Shaping and having long nails... Never have I been charged a "shaping fee" or to have my nails "long"--but my nails are normal length.According to the menu I should have paid 55.00 dollars plus tip, I was charged 73.00 not including tip. )=.  I couldda went to Center City and Paid less.I was also told about a 20% discount for using Cash but she said its a discount for "natural nails only".... What the hell?? How does tht even make sense??So the last reason I won't come back is because while Dee was putting the acrylic on my nails(after doing 3 nails she kept saying "I don't like this acrylic, it drys too fast, this is the cheaper one" and said she has some of the other stuff she usually uses in the back. If you made a mistake and used cheap stuff on your clients nails and tell them, I would think you would change the product you were using especially if you're only 3 nails in, but she just kept going.  She then filed my nails and said "yeah this acrylic is white it's suppose to be pink, this is def the cheap stuff--i don't like it"( so why would you think your customer would like it? Huh? Why?).  Then after telling me she used the "cheap acrylic " she still charged me full price which was inflated from 55.00 in total to 73.00. I don't go to places to have "cheap" products used on me, especially when I can afford to have service with above average products--I don't patronize hood salong because they use the "cheap stuff".Nice girls, nice salon, they def need to work on some things. Excellent excellent service --very friendly and sweet and beautifulInside --don't be fooled by the shabby exterior--iAlmost was and I'm so glad I went!Owner is super sweet and they are much more friendly and courteous than a lot of the nail salons in the northeast and Philly in general. I was up here to meet a client and just took a chance . Not onlyDidThey fit me in--they did so graciously . They have organic products but I got a standard gel and it was beautiful . I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, friendly atmosphere to get your nails done. Mo did a great job on my nails. She was kind and meticulous. The time she took to make sure my French manicure looked perfect was very much appreciated. Today (June 16) my dad and I went to get manis and pedis and this place was amazing! I called ahead to make sure they accepted walk-ins (I was coming from far so I had to make sure) and we headed over. The place is very chic and clean. They offered us wine, water, or soda upon arrival. We started with pedicures and they wrapped the pedicure bath in plastic, which was a super plus. We had the organic pedicure and it was amazing! I found my new nail salon!!  Goodbye Center City and the parking fees and/or tickets.  Eminence Nails is THAT PLACE...Yesss! All of the ladies were welcoming and so friendly. Went in for a gel mani and regular pedi. Feet and nails were right on point (translation: I was VERY satisfied). They offered a complimentary drink - soda, water, or......Wine!If you pay in cash, you get 20% off the normal cost. In addition to the mani /pedi, I also got my eyebrows waxed (they look great). This salon used to be T&T, and it is even MORE wonderful now ! Fear not, the two women that worked there that everyone adored, still work there. But, they are now accompanied by some new, young, hip girls that are moving the salon in a great direction. It's BEAUTIFULLY refined; the remodeling is excellent. This place  wow just wow ... So welcoming all employees were so nice and I have not had an experience like this getting my nails done in a long time. I got a refill and Pedi and my brows done.
