I always go to get my nails done here. They only do gel and regular polish--no acrylics. Which is actually nice because it doesn't smell and it isn't all dusty. They are quick and friendly. My gel nails always last 2-3 weeks if not longer. I often get them redone simply because they are grown out. Prices are also great! I have taken many friends here and all have been so happy with how long their gel nails lasted. They even take care of your hands and put uv lotion to protect against the gel setting light. Hands down THE BEST Nail Salon in all of Philadelphia. The attention to detail of every nail technician is impeccable. Their gel manicures will last for at least two weeks, if not longer! Fantastic place.  Clean.  Excellent work on my nails by Fong. I tried a new Spring 2017 color and was delighted by the results.  Fong took great care in making sure her work was done well and didn't mind my direction on how to treat my sensitive cuticles.  Price is reasonable.   Experience was great.  Grateful they took me as a walk-in.  So glad I found this place.   If in Philly again this will be a sure stop.  Thank you. I went here for the first time the other day for a gel manicure. Cute little shop. I agree with other reviews, it feels very clean which is a great plus! I did not have a reservation but they took me. Then a bridal party of 13 walked in! It was a bit hectic. But the shop handled it well and got me in and out. They have a lot of gel colors. I think they upped their price by $1 compared to other reviews I saw on here. Gel is $25 with card or a $1 discount if paying with cash. (not $2 anymore). I have been going to Christian Nails for about 3 years now, so I figured it was time for a review. I have tried others in the city and always end up coming back here. The customer service is excellent! Trinh, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean and the technicians always do a great job. I LOVE this place. They are friendly, inviting, and CLEAN! It is a small place so I highly recommend reservations during peak times (weekdays after 5pm and all day Friday-Sunday). I stumbled upon this amazing nail salon one rainy May day and haven't been ANYWHERE else since finding them! Christian Nails is a local gem that is open 7 days a week, has convenient hours, accessible via car, bus, subway or foot, and is by far the best nail salon in the Graduate Hospital/South Philly/Rittenhouse Area. Trinh and her husband are the sweetest couple that run a tight ship - always on time, great customer service, and always want you to be happy with your nails.  My gel manicures last for at least two weeks, and regular manicures are amazing as well. The staff is super sweet, very attention detail oriented, and are always making sure that you are comfortable and happy. I will never go anywhere else so long as I live in Philadelphia! Get the feeling this place can easily be around for 60 years. Classy, quaint, no bells and whistles - although I (kinda) wish I had the option. Christian's doesn't seem like a place that keeps up with trends in nail art but if you want a nice, simple mani or pedi; that you will get.What brought on the fourth star is how clean they are. You can tell it's something they are committed to as I watched a technician empty out a pedicure station, put on her gloves and begin to spray and scrub any remaining residue out. I usually see a quick hot-water rinse but homegirl pulled out the Ajax and I wanted to high-five her. Service was fine. We arrived as a twosome on a Sunday afternoon and although they were slightly busy; they were accommodating. Three people helped get the job done, but it got done.Not a lot of chit-chat, not a fun experience but I'm sure you'll be pleased with the product. As a planner and part of being prepare, I compared a lot of reviews before deciding to go to a place and I am happy that I went with Christian Nails & Spa. This salon had a very high rating as well as great prices - if you pay with cash, you get $2 off!  I got a pedicure and gel manicure for $43 ($20 for pedi and $25 for mani plus $2 off).They have very quick and attentive service - for a small place, they were able to handle large volumes of people (I went around 6pm on a week day). The one lady was amazing at multitasking. I watched her take care of two people at the same time (would work on the one person as the other was waiting for her UV gel nails to cure). The salon was very clean and hygienic. I appreciated that this place scrubbed down and sanitized the foot baths after use for each person. They had a fancy UV light box for the gel nails where the light was activated by touch. The UV rays felt intense, but I  thought it was very considerate of them to heavily apply SPF 50 sunscreen to my hands before exposing them to the UV light. That was a nice touch that I have not seen done before anywhere else.My only grip was that my technician seemed to feel the urgency of how busy they were. For my mani/pedi, she cut a little too close to cuticles. It was a little bit too aggressive, as my one toe started to bleed. I was really excited to find a good nail salon within walking distance from my house but I did not really enjoy my experience. Pros: ** 1st star for the salon being clean and organized. ** 2nd star for the employees being very sweet and polite. Cons: - My manicure had two minor chips within 24 hours and another big chip after 48 hours (non-gel). - The experience was fast but not really relaxing.  They do the manicure and pedicure simultaneously so you sit upright with a towel and pillow on your lap while on pedicure chair instead of sitting back and relaxing during the process. - Not a salon to go for if you want designs, I brought in a picture of a single stripe I wanted across the nail but some of the designs turned out really crooked. I got it a week ago and despite my efforts it is still holding up. I wash dishes, I garden...I do wear gloves, but it is still hard on a manicure.I would definitely go back. Read Less

I was pleasantly surprised by this cute nail shop in the graduate hospital area. The salon is small (4 pedicure chairs, 3 manicure stations and 2 drying seats), however it's very clean, bright and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got a regular mani/pedi on a Tuesday during the day so the shop wasn't busy and I was in an out of the shop within 45 minutes. For the price that you're paying the service is great. I walked in at 4:30 on a Sunday (expecting to get turned away because they close at 5) and was greeted warmly. The interior looks clean and new, but there's limited places to sit while you wait. Unlike some places, they did had OPI's new spring colors for this year. They do great work but make an appointment or try and go during a time when they are not busy. I went on a Saturday afternoon which was a huge mistake. I waited for about an hour. The shop itself is very small they have 4 pedicure chairs and 3 manicure tables plus a very small drying station, receptionist desk and 3 small waiting chairs that are not made for women with hips. The employees are very friendly and while they do try and work as quickly and efficiently as possible they are not always successful. Christian Nails is a fantastic salon. The interior is clean and completely devoid of the chemical smell of most nail places. They always seem to have the right number of nail techs on staff and we never have to wait long, even for such a small place with three nail stations and four tubs. They have a good selection of gel and regular colors from various brands. My girlfriend also says their massages are great to try.My girlfriend is a regular here and I only go in with her so I know my review is biased by special treatment ;). But even so, the staff is super friendly and laser focused on precision. Trinh, the manager, is especially sweet and great at running the place. I can't even imagine leaving here with a ragged edge or stray piece of cotton fuzz in my mani--I've been here 10+ times for gel mani and/or pedi and the service and result is 100% perfect every time. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but this area is Rittenhouse and their gel manis reliably last 2 weeks with new growth as the only sign of deterioration. No chipping at the tips, I tell you! This place is super clean and organized.  They are very efficient and speedy.  I got a mani/pedi and had two people working on me at once so I wasn't at the salon for more than an hour and a half. They were all very friendly and worked quietly while my friend and I chatted.  My manicurist did a great job with the cuticles and painting.I think the pedicure could have been better.  I noticed that my feet weren't as smooth as some other ones that I have gotten.  They only do gel/regular manis so it is dust free and doesn't smell heavily of chemicals when you go in there.  It was very refreshing.Bonus - if you pay cash they take 2$ off your total :) Read Less

I come here for manicures regularly and pedicures occasionally. The service is speedy and high quality. Their polish choices are diverse and kept up-to-date, and I always get compliments when I'm out on my nail colors. Everyone on the team is good at what they do, the space is clean as a whistle, and the prices are OH-SO-RIGHT.Bonus: any massages that they give during mani or pedi are ON POINT. I love this little hidden gem on Christian Street! I recently moved to the area so I was in need of a place to get my gel on. I Yelped (thanks!) a few locations and since this had the best reviews I decided to check it out!I went in around 7 pm on a weeknight and asked for a gel manicure and was quickly ushered to an available chair. Apparently the color I chose needed like 7,000,000 coats to show properly but the woman was very patient and didn't make me feel like a jerk which was, of course, very nice of her. The shop was closing but she didn't rush me through to get out of there. She also made my brows look fancy before I left.This place is not just great quality with great service, but super affordable! Its so nice to see an affordable nail salon in my neighborhood! Christian nails has the best service. Affordable for sure. They take their time and are super sweet.
