I was 9 months pregnant when my OB told me to go get a pedicure because my feet were so swollen and sometimes a pedicure is known to bring on labor. I was new to the area so I didn't have a nail place I went to regularly. As I was driving home I saw Sandy's Nails out of the corner of my eye. I quickly turned in to the parking lot and walked inside. Everyone stood at attention and greeted me and made quite a fuss over me; gently walking me over to the pedicure station and excitedly asking me questions about my upcoming arrival. Natalie gave me my pedicure that day, and it was so wonderful that here we are, 7 years later and a new house farther away, and the only place I will get my nails done is at Sandy's. I have been here 3 times firstime was great absolutely no doubt. 2nd time they trimmed my nails ans by trimmed i mean cut them so shirt u couldnt even see it over my finger the 3rd time the clraned under my nails ans chopped them to hell i wouldnt even let then finish i paid for half a refill and left never again!!!! I know it is memorial day weekend and nail salons are very busy. Unfortuanly I am beyond frustrated with service from them. I went in for a pedicure and waited merely 10 minutes before being seated and then sat and soaked for over an hour while 3 people were taken before me. Granted they had appointments and I did not. Nice atmosphere, you don't wait long. A few girls have hurt me when I got a pedicure. When I got a gel manicure it looks beautiful but they put on too many layers and my nail polish started to peel off. Went here once before, but today I had a not so favorable experience. I'd been waiting about 15 mins and then I was called to go to a station. Another customer who'd come in way after me was also told to sit at a station. Two of her nails had broken off! Anyway, the nail tech proceeded to fix her broken nail while I was waiting in the chair! Not once did she ask if I minded if she made the repair, but just thought that because I turned my head I wouldn't notice.Whats the purpose of signing in if you're taking people before waiting paying customers? That's not right at all! Fair is fair! If a customer comes in after you I assume they are after you have been serviced! This customer did not have an appointment set either. My signature was in the book before hers. Anyway, I got up and left! I can spend my hard earned $ elsewhere at Nancy's on Castor Ave in Philly, my usual spot! This place lost a customer. I will travell for good service. Suburbs aren't always guaranteed to be better. I guess my time was less important that the girl that came in! Its about principle! Never again!Read Less
