Average experience. The salon doesn't seem as clean as it should be. The massaging chairs are oddly uncomfortable, putting your feet in a bad position (cutting against your instep), and they don't work completely (obviously need repairs). I couldn't get a comfortable position for my back. The pedicure itself was OK, not great, not bad. My technician, who was pleasant, could unfortunately barely speak English and could not describe the difference between types of pedicures to me. Read Less

This is the definition of a Yelp four-star establishment. It's light, airy, the service is pleasant, they do a good job, and it is inexpensive.This is not a DJW spa experience, but still very relaxed with massage chairs and a good exfoliation and massage with pedicures. They have TVs blaring which I find distracting, but apparently is a pleasant distraction for many people.Prices are a step up from the bottom-barrel nail places, but if you think about it, do you really want to save $5-10 when you're talking about hygiene and your health?The location is off of Sycamore adjacent to the eponymous Tavern, and there is ample parking along the side and back. Love this place, this is my favorite place to get my nails done in Newtown. Everyone is so kind and friendly here. You are greeted with a bottle of water when you sit down for a service, which I appreciate. They do a great job and offer affordable prices. I love how they offer perks for their customers as well. They have a punch card for every service, you get is stamped and after a certain amount of services you get a coupon for money off your next service. They also offer a referral discount. I am sitting in the parking lot writing this review. The staff was completely unfriendly and rude. I made an appointment with Kevin and came in for a Mani/pedi with gel polish that needed to be removed. Kevin handed me over to another technician who wrapped my nails in acetone/foil then brought me back for the pedicure. I still had my cost, shoes and handbag on, carrying my purse, flip flops and book. I was trapped in the foil unable to put anything down or take off my coat. I asked for her help and she just stared at me. I cancelled getting the pedicure since it was too complicated. I waited for 30 min. while Kevin finished with his client. Again, I made the appointment with Kevin for both. I brought my own polish and top coat and when I asked him to use those products he mumbled, grumbled and was genuinely rude. This might be the most unsatisfactory experience I've had. I can't believe the way they treat their clients. I came here for my first time for a gel mani and loved the service. He took a decent amount of time to remove my previous gel manicure (as every nail technician should!) so I really appreciated that. I loved the color I chose and it came out great. I love this place! It's the only place I will go when in Newtown for a manicure and pedicure. Kevin is so meticulous and never disappoints! All of the rest of the staff is excellent as well.
