Very professional staff. Cute nail salon. You get a glass of complimentary wine to drink while getting nails done. It was my first time there and I just loves it. It is a hit or a miss and it has a lot to do with who you get.  Yes they do offer a wide variety of service but they position themselves int he market as above the rest and it is not really. If you are lucky to get a good technician you may get lucky, but other wise overpriced and making appointments and trying to walk in forget about it. I use to go there more often but my experience last few times has been really poor. Out of three times 2 times would be a miss and 1 a hit. Who has time for that? Very pretty salon.  The predicure chairs are a little difficult to get in and out of and I am 5'7".  Someone shorter would need help.  The employees are polite.  A vast selection of polish.  Both my manicure and pedicure were well done and lasted longer than usual.  My one complaint - why do they dump the dry cuticle skin they have cut from my toes, wash their used tools, back into the water while my feet are still in there - gross ! I’ve gone there to get my eyebrows waxed & have had my nails done a handful of times. However, I most likely won’t go back. The last time I went in, I was told that they could take me right away...the person who was going to do my eyebrow wax was on her phone texting & I erroneously thought she’d put it down and immediately call me into the room. Both the receptionist and I kept looking at her & she proceeded to stay on her phone, barely acknowledging us. I just sat there for... a good 10 minutes and was about to walk out when she was finally ready to grace me with her presence. We went into the waxing room & it was quite unfortunate for me that she smelled entirely of cigarette smoke- (hands/breath). I find the people who work there (not the receptionists) to be rude and not focused on customer service. The place is clean, updated, & is aesthetically pleasing. The Nail Bar is awesome! They are really clean, well staffed with friendly, smiling faces. The place itself is beautifully decorated and it just feels so nice to relax while treating yourself! We just had a small get together to celebrate my mother in laws bday and the owners are just lovely and very accommodating! They provided a small space for us to set up just a few drinks/treats while we got pedicures. Service was wonderful! Highly recommend The Nail Bar. I really love this salon. Almost every manicure and pedicure that I have received here is excellent. The downside is that I often have a hard time getting in because they do not accept appointments. The parking lot is also very tiny so I recommend parking across the street. Read Less

If you can actually get in here it's nice but I wouldn't say it's anything great compared to other places it's the same. It is so crowded you need an appointment you can't just walk in and with my appointment I still had to wait an hour and a half it's absolutely ridiculous. I definitely will not be going back. I went to the Nail Bar for the first time today with my two daughters.  I had made an appointment ahead of time as I had heard they booked up quickly.  Our appointment was for 4:00, but we arrived 15 minutes early.  Since there were very few clients there, they took all three of us back right away.  My daughters both got pedicures, and I was scheduled for a gel manicure.  I had existing gel polish on my nails, so the technician immediately began soaking them.  She said she would be back in about five minutes to take the polish off.  In the meantime, another woman and her daughter entered the salon. The woman had an appointment, but stated her daughter did not.  My technician immediately began working on both the woman and my daughter.  Meanwhile, i still had the gel remover on my hands (it was going on 30 minutes) and it was starting to burn.  Finally, another technician (not my original one- she had better-dealed me for someone WITHOUT an appointment) came over.  She took forever to get situated- complained about her chair, etc.  She wouldn't focus on just doing my nails.  She was obsessed with bufffing them- she buffed my nails for about 30 minutes.  30 MINUTES!  My skin was burning.  I told her that it was fine, they didn't need to be buffed that long, but she insisted.  FINALLY, she said- "what color do you want"?  By then, i had been sitting in the chair FOR AN HOUR!!! I said, i'm sorry, but i have to leave- I have somewhere to be by 5.  She gave me a snotty look, and just walked away.  NO apology.  Meanwhile, during the time, the girl WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT was done and had finished.  I walked out without any nail polish AFTER AN HOUR.  I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I got a gel mani for a wedding I was going to be in 2 days before the wedding. The woman who did my nails was so nice and took the time to show me the color I picked out would not show up the same way on my nails which was helpful. It was a little more pricey than what I am used to spending but it was totally worth it. The manicure lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping. If I could give zero stars I would. This place was great when it first opened but it's just HORRIBLE now. The staff is nice. The other patrons are the absolutely worst which isn't The Nails Bar's fault but it just adds the reasons I won't go back. Previously, they didn't take appointments but did offered a "call ahead" service which was really unreliable. You could count on waiting up to 30 minutes past your call ahead time. The time it took to get the actual mani or pedi was just absurd. Have an hour lunch break? FORGET IT.  So this last time I went I I decided to just walk in. I was told there was no walk in service left for today. Which is completely ridiculous. They offered for me to come back IN TWO AND A HALF HOURS. It's worth mentioning that there were several technicians available when I walked in, but they had six "call ahead" spots and couldn't take me.  If there policy is call ahead and they don't take appointments they should still allow walk ins.  Especially, since the other appointments hadn't arrived. I was the only person waiting.  It's absurd!  This place is also grossly overpriced. Do yourself a favor. Find another nail salon. I will. Read Less

I've only been a handful of times for a Nail Bar pedicure over the last couple of years, but I've never been disappointed.  I tend to go when they open in the morning, so I've never had to wait.  Nice to leave with cleaned up toes and lightly scented feet - none of the overly fruity or saccharine sweet-smelling stuff I've encountered elsewhere. My favorite nail salon, EVER! The only place I will go to. The staff is very nice and makes a point to converse with you and know who you are. Place is always clean and they open fresh and clean tools in front of you. Wide range of colors to choose from and they have wine and mimosas!! Also their Vietnamese coffee is out of this world. I have really tried to love this place, but have officially given up sadly. I went in to be waxed and when I walked into the room I requested that the technician change the (very clearly) used and soiled paper cover on the table.  She insisted it was clean but said she would change it anyway.  Not a great feeling. The waxing was fine, but the technician simply reeked of smoke, I could not take a breathe the entire time as she bent over me to wax my brows.  It was really terrible. Honestly I come here a lot when I have the extra money to pamper myself. I love how clean it is, there isn't the unpleasant smell that there is in normal nail salons for the acrylic nails. I was recently at the nail bar and have been a customer for years however this past experience pushed me away. Not only did I listen to an employee brag how they chased a customer out to their car because they weren't tipped but then that same employee went to wax my eye brows and took off a major portion then denied the entire thing. She never apologized and more or less acted as if it was my problem. Needless to say my eye brow will grow back but my feelings will stay the same. While the experience is nice the nail bars unwillingness to schedule larger parties ahead of time is disappointing. I was told to have 10 people come wait outside starting at 10:30 am on a Sunday so when they open at 11 my Party would not have to wait in a line with others. I LOVE this nail salon. Very friendly and respectful staff. The prices were reasonable. Some may say expensive, but you get what you pay for. Very clean establishment. I had been to this place about 2 other times for their great nail art. While there on 12/2/2016, I decided to get a white manicure with the ring fingers in glitter. I wake up this morning (12/4/2016) and I see that my nails have been stained by my makeup and the top coat is coming away from the ends as if this manicure is a few days old so I called them to tell them that is unacceptable and I have never had this issue with previous white manicures at my regular place. I was told that they "cannot guarantee white manicures will not change color", "they are not sure how rough I am with my hands" and a manager will be in contact with me by the end of today to further discuss this.I am quite outraged by this as I have been using the same makeup for years, have been washing my hands as much as I always do and have never had this issue with previous white manicures. I understand that regular polish vs gel doesn't last as long but I typically get at least a week of wear before the regular polish starts to get messy. I will not be going back here even though they do the most amazing designs - this was a below par manicure experience despite the upscale-looking salon. Read Less

I love this place, it's my go to for mani/pedis. They have a great selection of colors and specialty services. The staff is friendly and the salon is clean. The parking lot is very small and they only take reservations for large groups. You can call ahead the day of and put your name on a list. Also it's a little pricey but they also do a great job so it's worth the money. Read Less

There must be some trick to actually getting in at this place, but I don't know what it is. I've tried calling ahead, walking in, going at off times... nothing seems to work. It's a nice and clean place, BUT the manicurist was very abrupt!!  She held my feet very tightly and did the mani-pedi very quickly.  Guess she's on a time clock and/or having a bad day!! I rather like sitting there quietly reading and not being asked countless questions, but she could have been more personable.  She did not engage at all, except to tell me to relax my foot.  How do I do that when you have a death grip on it??  I'd go back again, but would ask for someone else. The place is not only very classy looking, stylish, and clean on the inside, but also the staff is incredibly cordial, attentive, and kind. The chairs are amazingly comfortable, though they are not the stereotypical massage chairs. They have a wide array of colors to choose from, from great brands (OPI, Zoya, and SE). They also provide a variety of free drinks (water, soda, coffee, tea, apple cider, and--apparently on some days--wine). They made sanitation a priority, as well as my comfort and desires for my nails. They offer regular nail polish, as well as gel polish, and acrylic. They offer a variety of different kinds of manicures and pedicures, and even have a special "menu" for children and men. They also offer waxing services. Very disappointed with Nail Bar today. My daughter and I went there at 4:20. When we got there no on was waiting. No one! Only one person in pedicure chair and a few at the manicure bar. We were told to come back at 5:30 because there were call aheads due in. First of all its called an appointment. Second no one was waiting. Third I thought your policy was call aheads could only be 1 hour in advance. Which is what I was told in the past. What if the "call aheads" never showed? We walked out. Making an appointment is imperative for the customer at this location, however, honoring the appointment should be just as important to the salon. My 6pm appointment did not begin until 6:52pm. My original rating of Nail Bar a year ago would have been 4 stars but I found a better salon closer to my home--better prices, flexibility with scheduling and mani actually lasts. I went to Nail Bar a week ago and my gel mani is peeling around just about every nail, there was an air bubble on ring finger and two spots where the gel peeled off the same night. I asked manicurist to trim my nails a tiny bit and she wouldn't, only filed. I have two cracked nails now. Two stars for atmosphere and usually nice peeps. this place. OY. very very inconsistent, which is a total shame b/c its so cute inside! I've been here maybe 5 times. only 2 out of the 5 were good experiences. The last time I was here, the polish the girl used on me seemed to be near empty. When I said something about it, she put some solution in it and kept going. She probably rubbed my arms once over with lotion, and then went on her way like she was in a hurry! (Mind you, there wasn't a line at this time of day). Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! Hands down the BEST nail salon ever! I love it that they don't do acrylic nails; absolutely hate the smell of traditional nail salon places. It's so bad for you. I can never smell anything when I go here. I used to drive 45 minutes to get my nails done here from Delaware because it really is a great place. The staff are so friendly and very talented; my nail art always looks BEAUTIFUL! I moved to San Diego 2 years ago and I'm so sad there are no places like that out here. I don't get my nails done as often now because I don't like the smell of traditional nail salons. They are always so busy but that says a lot about the business! I would give this zero stars if I could.If you're thinking that this would be a great place to take your bridal party to get their nails done, THINK AGAIN. I decided that the Nail Bar would be the perfect place to host my older sister's bachelorette party complete with champagne. As her maid of honor, I looked into what it would take to make that a reality. I read their "call ahead" policy and how to reserve spots for a larger party. There were 9 people in all, including the bride, and I e-mailed the owners to ensure that we would have a spot the day before the wedding to help celebrate. I provided everyone's names and services, what date and time we would be there as they requested. I even called the day of when they opened like I was warned to do to ensure our spots would be saved for us later that day. My sister's in-laws planned her rehearsal luncheon at Bahama Breeze in KOP. We left early in anticipation of traffic but it was a lot worse than we thought and consequently, we were 20 minutes late to our appointment. I came in and apologized and explained what happened, and after the girl at the front desk consulted with the manager on duty, I was told that only the bride would be able to get her services done and then the rest of the party could only get one service done since they had "a lot of 6 o'clock call aheads." We thought this was weird considering they had 6 or 7 women working there who were doing nothing at the time except chatting with each other.Let's think this through. Who in their right mind would think that is acceptable? This was for a WEDDING. We would definitely need both services. Do you REALLY think we would get one service and then go to another place? This was her BACHELORETTE and it was ruined by something that was out of our hands even though I followed their ludicrous reservation process and policy. We ended up going to Blooming Nail right down the street and they did an excellent job - they took ALL 9 of us last minute and even stayed open an hour later to make sure they perfected the bride's nails. I would definitely recommend that place over this one.I would never ever think of attempting to come back here ever again or recommending it to anyone. Imagine me having to tell my sister that we couldn't all go in and have a good time together? I wasn't going to have an incomplete mani/pedi girls afternoon for my sister - because she deserves better than that. It's just a shame that the Nail Bar did not think the same. Read Less
