I absolutely loved my experience at the Glam Nail Lounge today. It has such a comfortable look and feel as soon as you walk through the door. The staff were lovely and professional, the color selection was above and beyond and I am in love with the way my nails turned out. I was pressed for time and wasn’t sure if I would be able to get my nails done before Easter, but I stumbled across this place on the way home from work and I’m glad that I did! I was looking for a new place after 9 years of going to the same place. My daughter found this place online and I am so glad she did. I had a horrible experience in Media the day before so I was a little apprehensive about trying another new place. The people are professional and super nice. I got a full set dip and was not sure about how long I wanted my nails. Vanessa was willing to cut my nails down after she was finished if I thought they were too long. I really wanted to love this nail salon as my favorite nail technician changed salons and is a 30-45 minute drive away so I was hoping to find a new place close by. It's a beautiful salon and for that is the only reason it gets two stars. I would give it three for the beauty but the service was just too terrible! My friend and I both went in with 5:15pm appointments. She was getting a regular manicure and I got a gel manicure and pedicure as my appointment stated. The salon only had one other person in it the whole time we were there. I asked for a simple polish with glitter coming come slightly (for my fingers) and showed them a picture. The woman did not understand even with pictures and explaining..she just kept painting 3/4 of my nail with glitter! I kept having her try again till I became exhausted with it and gave up. I wanted something special for my baby shower and my nails look like infant did them! Embarrassing! Then when they finally finish my finger nails (over a hour later!) they didn't say anything about my pedicure and were all ready to go home. I said "um I also made an appointment for a pedicure" they all seemed very angry and rushed me over to the other chairs and sped through something I would not even call a pedicure..I felt like I was being scolded the entire time and it took them less than 20 mins to do my "pedicure" they brought me to the dryer where they all stood with coats on holding their purses making us feel so uncomfortable that we had to leave before finishing drying. It is a shame to me that such a beautiful salon will be wasted by such rude and untrained/inexperienced staff. That was a total waste of 70$! I have been a client of glam nails since they opened, more or less.  I have walked in for service when they were PACKED and walked in for service when they were in between appointments, both situations I was greeted warmly and seen within literal minutes of my arrival as they are always appropriately staffed. It's unfortunate about the below review, because I have NEVER visited glam nails and left under an hour, actually my average is an hour and a half for a gel fill French manicure. They insist upon perfection. Lilly, the owner, is very adamant that her patrons leave happy with their service and she, personally, has done everything in her power to make that happen. It is certainly difficult to be in the service industry, and any reasonable person knows you can't please EVERYONE but.....I can ABSOLUTELY ASSURE YOU, Lilly and her staff at Glam Nail Lounge go over and beyond any other nail salon or retail establishment that I've EVER experienced to CERTAINLY try!!! At first I thought Glam nail was great because I work a few buildings over and can walk there on lunch break with coworkers. However, after several visits I've left with bubbled nail polish, gel that peels after a week and bleeding cuticles. Unfortunately, Glam is not a quality salon and the owner isn't very nice. The place itself is gorgeous. Brand new, well designed and so nice to be in. In regards to the nail service, it really depends on who you get. I got a gentleman who was excellent, while my friend got a lady who left streaks with an uneven finish on her nails. I went with my daughter, we both got a Mani/pedi.  My daughter is young and shy with new people, and the nail tech not only barely spoke to her, didn't smile, and got visibly annoyed when my daughter accidentally smudged her polish when moving to a different chair to dry.  The tech who did my nails was great....until she started putting the wrong color on my nails.  I told her it wasn't the color I chose (I wanted light purple, she gave me dark teal), she argued that the color she was using was better.  I called later to share my experience with the owner and was brushed off with not even an apology. Glam Nail Lounge is the best salon I have used in the area.  It is new, clean, and has a great decor.  The setup is very private.  You are not just sitting out in the open for all to see when you walk through the door.  The massage chairs actually work!  The owners are on site and very involved in making you feel welcome.  Every employee I have engaged with is pleasant and has done a good job.  This is now my preferred salon for mani / pedis!  Suggest you give them a try! I went in today, asked for a gel polish change and to fix 2 acrylic nails. I had the holo powder on my nails, and they said they'd match it. The one nail is fine, the other doesn't match the others, as I have the stiletto nails. Then we get to color, guess what? They don't match! Then she tried arguing with me that they did. And was saying she didn't want to rip me off- honestly, it felt like more of a rip off that she didn't want to fix it. But she eventually did. This place is awesome! It is extremely clean and fancy and brand new. It's the nicest salon I've ever been to. The selection of colors is awesome. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. They people there are super nice and they pay so much attention to your nails! The only thing is it is a bit more pricey than other places in the area. It can be argued that it's worth it though! We went there for my daughter's birthday and everyone was amazing. The salon is built to be the Mercedes of nail salons. Every detail has been carefully planned out by the owner.
