Blooming Nails really should have better reviews. I've been coming to this salon since 2008 for mani's & pedi's only - it's grown & gone through a lot of changes. Basic mani is $14, basic pedi is $30. They've gone through several receptionists & technicians and I agree some haven't been as good as others but overall the service is typically great. All of the technicians are professional (dressed nicely, not taking personal calls on their cell phones). They have a full time receptionist/cashier so your service isn't interrupted by your technician answering the phone or greeting customers. You pay upfront which I find more relaxing then paying in the middle of your service. They don't up-sell here. There isn't an ATM & they don't let you put tip on the card so stop at Wawa on 252 for some cash or hit the drive through ATM next door. As far as the services, the basic pedicure is better than any salon in the area & all of their massage chairs work. The basic pedi includes a long massage, hot stone, hot towel, etc. In the winter months they include a paraffin wax treatment. If you need to get in and out quickly you can get your mani at the same time as your pedi, but if you have time, I think it comes out nicer when you do the mani separate. Diane gives the best manicure. If you need special designs, I suggest going to NailBar on WCP - that's their specialty. While your drying you will get a back/neck massage. During Christmas they give their clients gifts - usually a hand cream & pedicure socks. For the standard mani/pedi this is the best in the area. Read Less

This salon has declined in their service.  They use to be excellent for many years.  I was in on Feb 14, 2018 at 11 am.  They gave me a new girl who could have zero communication with me due to a complete language barrier.  She cut my toe, massages only one leg.  She used a small amount of lotion without oil to massage my legs so it hurt due to the friction.  During my pedi the other workers were correcting her and appeared frustrated with her.  The receptionist would not allow me to contact "Steve" the manager, being very vague saying, "oh he's not usually here soooo but I'll tell him."  No refund, I was embarrassed because it brought attention to me so everyone is staring.  The receptionist said, "oh she is new."  No kidding!  I went to relax and left feeling more stressed than when I arrived.  Management, this is actually your fault and not the pedicurist. She clearly needs more training or someone shadowing her.  I actually feel badly for her.  Hey Steve?  Manage your store and be present.  Such a shame, as I so enjoyed the pedis here.  If I received a refund I may have reconsidered.  My manicure by Nu Yah was rushed, I'm lucky she rubbed in the lotion.  I shouldn't go to a salon and feel like a bother.  The biggest issue is not allowing me to speak to management through email or in person.  I'm so sick of bad service anymore or a lack of caring when you receive bad service.  Time to find a new salon.  If you do go ask for Gladis, very sweet and kind.  Don't get Nina, she is miserable, never smiles and is straight up rude to your face. Although the reviews were mixed, I decided to give this place a shot, but I'm kind of regretting that I did. When I walked in, I asked if they accepted cards because I had no cash and the receptionist said yes, no problem. I go to pick out my color for my mani/pedi and the receptionist is waiting for me to pay. She tells me that customers pay first before getting the service. That made me a little weary because what if they didn't do a good job? Anyway, I pay and go to leave the tip on the card--remember I don't have cash--and there's no spot for a tip. I specifically asked if they took cards because I didn't have cash! At that point, I assume there is an ATM in the salon for me to take some cash out, even though I hate paying the fee. I'm walked to another room for the pedi and like most reviews on here, the massage was great, but I couldn't enjoy it because I kept scanning the room for an ATM. Then another lady comes over to start my manicure. She cuts me, which I understand happens, but doesn't apologize. Doesn't even acknowledge the fact I'm bleeding. Then, she rushes through the entire manicure! The coats weren't even (some spots only had one layer of polish and chipped within the hour), clear top coat all over my fingers, and bubbles everywhere. There wasn't even a line of customers, so I don't know why she was rushing--not that a line of customers warrants a rush job. If you're wondering about the ATM, I never found one. I still feel guilty, but once the room was empty and my nails felt dry enough, I left. Had the service been better, I would have gone back to the receptionist and ask how to tip with my card or even ran to the nearest ATM to bring cash back. PS: there were also refrigerated bottles of water and wine, but no one was drinking and from what I saw during my time there, no one was offered. Read Less

I come to this nail salon often and usually love my mani/pedis. The extra massaging of the hands and feet really won me over. During the winter they put the special wax on your heels and it really does wonders. I'm also glad they brought back the back massage while your nails dry!I came in 2 weeks ago and had Jessica as my manicurist. She was awful. She cut me twice and did nothing to stop the bleeding and completely skipped the lotion/massage portion of the manicure. She was in such a rush (no clue why, there wasn't anyone waiting) that she missed a bunch of spots on my nails and even left polish on the skin around my nails. I had to say something to the hostess in order to get her to clean them up. She was awful, I strongly suggest staying away from her.Edited- I came in and had Diane give me a basic manicure and as soon as she started applying my polish I asked why she hadn't cut my cuticles and she just shrugged and continued painting. Why are you so inconsistent with your service that I'm not guaranteed to get everything I pay for? Read Less

I've gone here several times and used to like it but it's going downhill. Last time I was there for a pedicure, the girl nicked me as she was cutting my nails. I didn't mention it because it wasn't bleeding and accidents happen. This time I had a different girl and she was rushing and also cut me. This time it I was bleeding quite a bit. I tried to look at it and she covered it with her hand so I couldn't see and then quickly put my foot back in the bath as if I wouldn't notice. It would have been nice if she would have acknowledged it and apologized but she just pretended it didn't happen. Then a few minutes later she sprayed it with something that felt like rubbing alcohol. I will be going elsewhere in the future. Read Less

Blooming Nails really saved the day!! I had planned a spa afternoon for my sister's bachelorette at the Nail Bar. Long story short, they have horrible customer service and almost completely ruined my sister's bachelorette. Don't ever go there. Anyway... Last minute we decided to try Blooming Nails because it was close. When I called and asked if they could take 9 ladies for mani pedis last minute they said no problem! We show up five minutes later and are taken almost immediately. The place is very clean and decorated nicely. They have beverages (soda, water, tea, etc.) available for free! Everyone had a good time. They did a wonderful job on our nails and even stayed open late JUST for us so they could finish with the design my sister wanted on her nails. Excellent customer service. I will be back when I am back in town visiting my parents for sure. Thank you so much Blooming Nails! Read Less

Let me start off by saying I live in Exton and come here every 2-3 weeks for my gel manicure and a pedicure every so often. I travel a good 20 mins. Lately I haven't had the greatest experience at Blooming Nails. First and foremost, the receptionist is awful. There was this young girl there that was incredible and now the woman that has short hair is not friendly loud and very bossy. Secondly lets talk about how they have beverages but never offer them to their guests. Then I think well, how long has that wine actually been sitting there. I am very confused about that. After a days work I would like to have a glass of wine if its there, and it is!!! Lastly, I love the gel manicures. They last a long time and they never disappoint. But a suggestion is to ask the client if they like the color after the first application on the pinky nail. I hate the color I just recently got and they never asked me that. Diane is so friendly and nice and there is another girl whose name I don't know but begins with an H. She is so friendly and those two women make me want to come back. Women want an experience at places like this. They always come back, so if their experience is top notch, you best believe they are coming back every time and with friends. That is why I am giving this review 3 stars sometimes my experience is great other times (like today) was not! And get a new receptionist someone that is friendly!! Read Less

The place is very nice! Clean and extremely well taken care of. I got a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was great! Tended very well to my feet and legs and the polish looks great. Manicure, started to come off after just a day (she did 3 coats, maybe its the polish.) The reason why I am giving 3 stars, was the vibe of the establishment. From the moment I walked in and sat down for my pedicure, I could not help but notice that the employees were eyeing me and then side eyeing their co-workers. They began to speak in a different language and chuckle while frequently looking up at me. I noticed this happen while  a few different customers walked in and it made my time there less enjoyable. As a nail salon, it was clean, affordable and did a good job. But, as a place to relax and unwind, I couldn't help but keep my guard up and feel self-conscious the entire time. Read Less

I've had 2 gel manicures at this salon, both were just OK. In both cases, the manicurist SPED through the process so quickly that it seemed she was rushing unnecessarily. There wasn't a line so I don't understand the rush. They also do not soak or oil your cuticles before cutting/shaping, which leaves you with jagged bits of skin all over. Two pros though: they have a very large selection of gel colors, the most of any salon I've seen. They also put fingerless gloves on my hands to protect my hands from the UV light. Read Less

This place was truly amazing! When I first walked in I though I was walking in to some heaven right here. It's straight up new and looks pretty amazing. I got a french manicure and a spa french pedicure that was a special of $35. All together it was $59. It's pricey, but I would say it is worth it. They massaged up and down my legs for awhile, at the same time doing my manicure with a women to the side massaging your hands. They give you a nice hot towel right on your neck as you get in a nice massage chair that is oh-so amazing. The people here were VERY friendly and did a great job on my nails. I felt like I was royalty for the time. It lasted I would say about an hour long. The owner who was walking around was checking very carefully what her employees were doing and made sure they were doing a great job. I only had 2 problem, but it didn't matter much anyway. One of them was when she was pushing the cuticle down on my toe nails, some how it started bleeding. I didn't actually feel much of anything, so I didn't mind, and all she did was put some blue, liquid stuff on it and it stopped bleeding and felt fine. The other problem was when the white line that goes across your nail with the french manicure, the stroke seemed to break in the middle of my nail. I addressed it to them and they fixed it right away. They then took me over to get my nails dried and a women came over and gave me about a 3 minute massage. It felt pretty amazing and was so luxurious. The service was straight up amazing, but I came on a Monday afternoon where only 3 other people were in there with me. This place is a keeper! Five stars would have been a definite if it weren't for the rushed, so-so, manicure.  I am torn with this new practice of giving a manicure while you are in the pedicure chair.  Sometimes I feel like a princess being pampered, sometimes I feel overwhelmed like I don't know what to focus on.  Having said that, I did like that my nails were almost dry by the time my pedi was done.  And speaking of pedis, this was hands down the best around.  It is more expensive ($28 for a regular pedi) but you get a full 5 minute massage on each leg, and that includes hot rocks.  It was well worth it.  And to top it off they have a guy who gives you another full 5 minute neck and back massage while you are drying your nails.  HE IS AWESOME!  I'd go back for that alone...and probably skip the mani :) Read Less

I will be going here all the time now and whenever I need and mani or a pedi, I will go here! Read Less
