I have been going to Mary for almost 9 years. I had severe ingrowns that the podiatrist messed up and over the years she has fixed them. They girls and Mike are so sweet. I went into the salon at about 6:30 on a Monday night knowing that the salon closed soon at 7:00. I politely asked the man who works there (he was doing someone else's nails) if someone would be able to fit in a quick gel mani. There were several over customers in the salon at the time getting their nails done as well as a couple of employees just idly standing around. He said in an extremely rude tone that everyone was ready to leave with no full response to my question. When I said so is that a no? He shook his head and barely said no so I had to ask again. When I left there was no "sorry" "come back again" or any attempt to try to accommodate me. I have been here several times before as I work in the Union Square complex so you can assure that all my coworkers will be hearing about how "friendly" and "accommodating" your staff is. I only wish I could say that I have had the same positive experience as others have at this establishment unfortunately, I have not. Why is this? It is because I have never been able to get an appointment at this salon. On three separate occasions I have been ignored or turned away. On my first, I was a walk-in, placed my name and number on the list and was told it would be 30 minutes. I went to do errands and came back 30 minutes later to be told they would call me. I never received a call back and when I called to inquire, they did not have my name. In the second instance, I made an appt by phone, arrived and was told they had no record of my reservation! Today, I walked in hoping with all my might that they may have time for a finger fix as I was shopping in the plaza. I was told bluntly "no time today, very long wait, we are busy with others." While I can certainly understand not being able to accommodate a walk-in or finger fix, the level of rudeness is unnecessary. Each time I have contacted this salon, it is the same young man - he has never been even pleasant or tried to be accommodating in anyway. This is sad as it looks like a nice place, closer to my home than my current salon and it seems to have a bustling business. I am a very loyal customer to this salon for several reasons. I get acrylic refills, gel polish and Mike always takes care of me and does an amazing job every single time. I make last minute appointments and they can almost always accommodate. I also have sensitive skin and have no problems with their waxing products, they get me in and out so fast and my skin is hardly irritated! I see myself going to this salon for as long as I'm living in New Hope. Love this place! Read Less

The ventilation is not great here but after a few minutes you get used to the chemical smell. The place is bright clean and well staffed. They do a great job on my girlfriend's nails and don't charge much. Parking is very easy for new hope.Read Less

My sister got engaged in New Hope this past weekend and the ladies from both sides of the family went to get manicures after the surprise family breakfast. I moved to Lambertville in September and this was the closest nail salon I could find. After several average gel manicures, I had a very bad experience.  The nail technician cut my nails WAY too short, and globbed on the gel very unevenly. When I pointed out the unevenness of the manicure she put yet another coat on. As soon as I got home two nails had already started peeling up in the corners. I called the salon right away and in a very angry tone demanded to see the owner when he was in next. Not only was the nail technician who answered the phone VERY polite but she was extremely accommodating and offered to redo the manicure free of charge that same day or whenever I could make it in. I went in the following day and my manicure was redone to perfection - free of charge. From this experience and what I have observed there, this salon is extremely customer satisfaction oriented. That being said, there are definitely several technician that are obviously their top technicians. This place is amazing.  I love Mary and Lynn but everyone else there has done my nails at some point, and it's pretty consistent that everyone does a great job.   I usually make appointments last minute, and they always take me.  They're a great salon so expect them to be busy, especially if you're a walk in and allow plenty of time for your services.   The prices are great and everything is very clean. I'm really impressed with this place. The girls here do an amazing job. Everything looks new & clean and pedicure lasted forever! Dropped a star cuz their polishes could use some refreshing. The whole shelf just looks a little old. I also wish they were open later during the week. Last appointment is at 630 which is impossible for me. I want to say I love this place, because I did for a long time.  I went there every two weeks for about a year and a half - acrylic fills, and at least monthly pedicures (even in winter, because I travel a lot for my job).  They did a good job, and were friendly.  Up until about a month ago, my assessment would be at least 4 stars - from time to time, little quality issues, but ones I could fix with my own emory board.The Saturday before Easter, I had an appointment for a fill and gel pedicure, and specifically requested at appointment time that I was filling both pink and white.  When I got there, they seem to have taken walkins, and I waited about 15 minutes before my pedi started.  Then, when finished, had to wait another half hour before my fill - at this point (nearly 90 minutes in) when he started doing just a pink fill, I figured "oh well - bad day for them, no biggie" - finally got out of there (so much longer than normal that I had to go top off the meter mid way) and really thought - one bad day out of a year and a half, no big deal.So fast forward 10 days, and I call to get a new appointment.  When I identified myself to Mike, he hung up on me.  I thought it has to be a mistake - I called back, and he didn't answer.  I was about to move, but still intended to drive an hour each way every couple of weeks.  Well - I found a place right around the corner from my new place - and in comparison, this woman is fastidious!  Amazing how a nail place would reject me because I had the gall to complain that I make appointments for a reason - very disappointed, and cannot recommend them to anyone ever again.  If you are in a bind - there are few places around there - by all means go.  BUT don't ever complain about anything!  The soup nazi of nails has arisen! I tried this salon on a whim, as I just moved to the area and have been very disappointed with all the other salons that I have tried thus far. I walked in without an appointment around 1 in the afternoon on a Friday, and was taken care of right away. They took my old gel manicure off so well, only an emery board to break the top coat, nails soaked for less than 5 min, and gentle use of a cuticle pusher to remove the rest of the polish, so all the top layers of my nails didn't come off along with the old polish. Rosa did my gel manicure, exactly what I've been looking for since I moved out to this area. She cut and filed my nails just right, exactly as I asked, and made sure that all the lengths were the same. The polish was done precisely and professionally, the color covers the entire nail, all the way to the edges and right up to the cuticle. She did an excellent job trimming my cuticles, and making sure that I was satisfied with her work every step of the way, even asking me if I wanted a third coat to make the color darker, or if the two coats were enough. The prices are exactly right ($25 for a gel manicure is exactly what I would expect to pay, and they do a great job at that price), the precision and attention to detail are on point, the color selection and the brands used (OPI, Essie, Gelish) are nothing short of excellent, and my nails look spectacular. Can't wait to go back in a couple weeks for my next manicure! Also looking forward to trying a pedicure soon as well! They're my new regular salon for sure! Read Less

These people are crooks!!! My mom and I went in to get our nails done. She had gel polish on, and asked for a gel manicure. All he did was change her polish, and when he saw she was paying cash charged her $60!!!! I later called to ask what the price for a gel manicure was, and they said $25!! I will never go there again. I went to Boutique Nail Salon a week ago for a pedicure. I had decided on a whim to get my toes done for the first time this season and went here (despite some negative reviews) because there was some really good positive feedback from other Yelpers and it is really close to where I live. The place is very clean with a whole line of new massage pedicure chairs on the side wall. As a walk in without an appointment, I just showed up and, oops, realized I had arrived about ten minutes before they opened. No problem, there was a girl there prepping the chairs and already a gentleman sitting for a pedicure. She told me to pick out a color and the other staff would be there shortly. The pedicure was pretty thorough. I prefer a deeper foot/leg massage than what I got, and I have some intense callouses that could have used a heavier hand, but I didn't feel neglected. I think the girl was just gentler than some other technicians I've seen. She was wonderfully meticulous about trimming and painting my nails, which I appreciate. The price was decent too: $25 for a pedicure is exactly what I would expect to pay. In response to the reviewer who said her nail polish chipped off within a day, my toes still look like they've just been done and it's a week later. Maybe it was just bad luck? There are a lot of good things about this place and I used to like it a lot, but since the last time I was there I was accused out loud and in public of stealing a bottle of nail polish (I brought one from home to try to find a good color) I guess I won't be going back. I have been here twice now and have had basically the same experience each time. Both times I got a manicure, both times the manicure has started to chip within HOURS of me getting them done. Now, I know that it's not a gel manicure, but really? Currently third day after them being done and almost all of the polish is chipped off. I went on a Saturday morning, and it seemed to have been a day care for their kids than a nail salon. They were running all around the place, sitting and playing on the pedicure chairs, and I hope they change the sheets for the waxing station in front of you! The kids would routinely sit on the waxing station and play with the lighted mirror. I would not recommend their services. Next time I am in town I will be finding another salon. This place is the BEST place I've ever gone to to get my nails done.The girls are all so friendly and all are amazing at what they do.  Got cuticles??  They take their time and get every last bit off.  Once one of the girls was painting my nails and saw that she missed a tiny bit of cuticle (I wouldn't have even noticed)...she stopped what she was doing to go back and get it, rather than paint over it like 90% of all other places I've been to would have.  They take their time and do a great job, every time.  Without fail, no matter who I get, I leave feeling completely satisfied and in a great mood.Everyone is friendly and talkative and absolutely hilarious to top it off.  Great experience.  I highly recommend.Prices are amazing as well. 35 dollars for a combo manicure/pedicure.  Can't beat it!
