Tracey has been cutting and styling my hair for 13 years, ever since my daughter and her bridesmaids had their hair styled there for her wedding. So, obviously I love this salon! Tracey is always able to refresh and update my style when I ask her to. It is always a friendly, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, yet very professional, as well. I came in here to get my nails done with my sister while our other sister got her hair done. The staff were very nice and accommodating (we made our appointments last minute). My manicure turned out great. The nail tech really cleaned up my cuticles, which were a mess. My sister is very particular and usually gets wild colored hair and her stylist gave her a nice pink/ombré color and cut. I would definitely come back when in town for another manicure or to get my hair cut or colored. The salon is upstairs which can be a bit tricky, but there is a sign on the elevator to help you find it. Read Less

I believe I've been going to Alluring Designs for about 10 years. I've been happy with every haircut I've gotten there and at times I have been absolutely thrilled.  I do have a couple small disappointments with the place. I'm not a high maintenance woman.  I don't get my haircut on a regular schedule. A couple times I received an email saying something like: We haven't seen you in a while. Get $10 off your next service. Which to me was a nice little reminder. I thought wow I really haven't gotten my haircut in a long time and I then got my haircut. Recently I received an email which said something like: We haven't seen you in a while. Get $10 off your next service over $40. Which to me didn't sound like we miss you as a client; it sounded like we miss your money.  Should I just be happy that there was a discount? Are just haircuts not really worth the client retention effort?I have just a little bit of gray and I've gotten my hair colored a couple times for a special occasion but I do not intend to make it a regular part of my life but the stylists would suggest to me on almost every visit to get rid of the grey. Maybe I'm over reacting but I don't think my grey shows very much and it doesn't really age me. I'm an advocate for natural and whole-grain foods etc and don't want to on the other hand put chemicals on my head. They've now stopped. In response to another review. I'm guessing the complimentary deep conditioning/ manicures are for higher spending clients because I've had one complimentary manicure in 10 years and it was during my first or second visit. A hidden away gem (2nd floor next to Crave Melt & Tap) and has excellent service (also nail care. waxing). They offer free perks (like deep conditioning and free manicure) with each visit so definitely a valuable spot! Read Less

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new salon. My first experience at Alluring Designs was great! I was able to get an appointment the next day and didn't have to wait around when I got there. The atmosphere is nice and everyone seemed really down to earth. My stylist, Ashley, was able to reduce the weight of my long hair without taking too much length, as well as helped me figure out how to style my side bangs. Would definitely recommend! Read Less

My hair stylist is Wendy. She is outstanding! She always gives me the perfect cut or shade of color that is the most flattering. I always get compliments on my hair. Well, for starters. I am not one to complain. So when i went here for the first time i was super nervous going to a new salon. I was NOT satified but did not say a word. I thought maybe i was just used to perfection and let it go. However, when i got the email to rate this place, I gave this review. They said to schedule and appt to fix it and get complimentary products, so i replied asking if the fix was at no charge too. I mean, really, you want me to pay for your mess up. Not a chance. I never post things like this but it's more the lack of care for the cusotmer than anythign that has me angry, it's going on 2 weeks and i have not heard back from this place. I can deal with not being satified and even give a great review if they were willing to fix this. But, like i said, never heard back. I work in sales/customer service and with customers. This is really unacceptable froma business. So, here's to my first review ever in my life....One star might be pushing it! Read Less
