If you want something quick and overpriced I would recommend this place. The first time I came here, one of the girls did an excellent job. She did tell me that the polish I chose, the reshaping, etc were extra costs at the end. I felt as though she was making up the prices, but I was ok with it because my nails looked great. However, my 2nd visit was terrible. I did not get a cut down or any special requests and somehow it was the same price. Not sure if he was lazy or inexperienced, but he missed a few steps and I needed to file them myself when I got home. I am not one to start a confrontation but i will just not come here again. This salon has more nail techs who act like they're doing you a favor by taking your money for an overpriced, 10 min shoddy pedicure than any other Salon I've been in. My nail tech hurried through my pedicure and got up and left because it was his lunch break. The tech next to him acted like she was on drugs. Never going back. Read Less

I never write reviews, but I had such a horrible experience that I needed to say something. I went to this salon in early July 2017. The actual visit there was ok. I got a gel mani and a regular pedi. With regards to my gel mani, I didn't realize she was going to use the drill bit (don't know the proper name) on my regular nail. My nails have become so brittle and weak from that procedure. My main concern arised from my pedi. I tend to leave my nail polish on my toes for weeks. So by the time I removed it in august, I realized I had a fungal infection. Suffice to say I will never return to this establishment. Read Less

Went here for first time today. I was nervous after reading the negative reviews, but honestly, I have struggled to find a decent nail salon since moving to Scranton 10 months ago. So I took a chance. I'm very pleasantly surprised. Vivian did both a gel manicure and basic pedi, both french style. She was polite, professional and very appreciative of my tip. They were very busy but I didnt feel like anyone I witnessed were being rushed out. The shop is clean too, which many salons around here look dirty. I won't hesitate to go back. This place was awful. My boyfriends sister and me went and had two different people. they both messed our nails up really bad. My nails weren't even filed in properly. I will surely never be going back there again. They did them really quick so the half fast job is probably the reason they were awful. Never again!  I visited this past week and arrived around 7:15 PM.  I asked if they had time for a manicure.  They accommodated me but I really wish they sent me away.  The gal that did my service was finished by 7:30 - slapped the polish on without any regard for the fact that it was seeping around my cuticles, had lint in it from the towel and never had me wash my hands so they were still "fuzzy" from the file.  I picked off some of the fuzz from the still wet polish and told her I thought her work was very sloppy.  She immediately removed the polish and had a co-worker redo it.  The co-worker did a much better job.  As I was sitting in the drying chair, the original gal said that she was sorry she was rushed but she had other jobs to do.  She checked my nails two times in the middle of the drying cycle - she really wanted me to leave and quickly.  My advice here is that if your staff wants to leave to the point they are pushing clients out the door - don't accommodate the service later in the evening or post hours to close at 7PM or 7:30.  I will NOT be returning to Glamour Nails ever again. I was out of town visiting friends and decided to call this place for gel polish. I made an appointment. I arrive 5 minutes before my appointment, I wait 15 minutes. Prior to going into my appointment, I removed my old polish, cut my nails back, and filed them. The lady simply had to buff and apply black gel polish. It was the most rushed job I've experienced. The work was shoddy at best. Then upon quickly hurrying the clear coat. She says $25. Excuse me??! To simply apply black polish???! I'll pay it and I did, but I will never ever return. I stopped in while my fiance was getting his hair cut next door and found that the place was quite busy. However, I did not have to wait long and was brought over to a station almost immediately by who I believed to be the owner. She spent an expected amount of time with me and filed, trimmed, and cut my cuticles quite neatly and was polite enough. She painted my nails very neatly, and went over them several times, even retrimming them along the way. I was pleased with the vast selection of nail polishes and was happy with the finished job. The real test will be how long the nails last but as far as I can tell, they appear perfectly applied for an average price. Read Less

If there was a negative star review........I would have marked it.  THE WORST PEDICURE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!  Have been there before , however, never treated this rudely and SUCH PATHETIC TREATMENT by none other than the owner.  If it was busy, it still wouldn't have been acceptable, but since myself and my mother were the ONLY ones in the place....there was NO EXCUSE!!  They actually set a timer for 25 minutes and must abide by the time limit......REALLY???  Is it not about making the customer happy especially for $5-$10 more than any other pedicure in the area.  No surprise that there was no one in the place!  My feet are not one bit better after the $30 pedicure than they were walking in there. After moving into the area this nail salon was now the closest. Instead of driving 20 minutes to my old salon I figured a 5 minute drive was the better option. WRONG! I will now be taking that 20 minute drive to the best nail salon in this area, Annie's nails in Peckville. I will NEVER be returning to this salon after my most recent visit. I had a fill and pedicure done. The pedicure was mediocre and actually extremely painful due to the the head nail technician (which I believe owns it) sanding off my skin with the pumice stone. My skin is red raw and looks as though I got a blister from a new pair of shoes. Then my fill was done by some man I've never seen at this salon before. Long story short he had no idea what he was doing and barely filled my nails. I have a huge gap between the nail and my cuticles. He then proceeded to put on five coats of this gel polish that was melting off when I stuck my hand into the UV lights. I politely asked for him to take the polish off and he yelled at me forcing me to continue his process until finally I slid my chair back and refused to let him continue. The head technician then had to fix my nails. Taking off the five layers of gel and starting the process all over again. I was there for almost three hours! Thank god I didn't need to be anywhere! They also had the audacity to charge me full price which I honestly should have refused to pay. $65 bucks for an awful pedicure and a lousy job, and on top of it I was treated like garbage and yelled at. Glamour Nails was almost average during my visit. I signed in for a pedicure. It took 30 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. I typically would have left but I'm not familiar with the area and the salon was located near my hotel. I eventually got the pedicure. It was OK. No foot and leg massage which I was disappointed with. Entire process took 25 minutes. My toes look nice but the experience was lacking for me. Read Less

I get my nails done once a week ( regular polish change ) and I go to different salons, depending on where I am in NEPA.Glamour Nails is my favorite. They have my favorite OPI color. I've never had to wait long, though you can make an appointment. They're open on Sundays. The staff is super-nice. Good location. My polish seems to last longer when I go here. They do nice work. The only thing I don't like is that the regular polish change costs a couple dollars more here, but they rule, so it's okay :) pricing is standard with pretty much everything else. It's clean and well-kept here, as well.I'd gladly recommend Glamour Nails! Read Less

I had one of the worst manicures of my life.  Everyone was friendly, but the woman who started my manicure(fill and fix) burned my finger tips twice with the buffer and almost burned through my pinky nail.  She also put acrylic over a dirty part of of my nail that should have been cleaned up. I wanted a French manicure and it would have shone through so she told me I had to get color.Her son took over and ended up painting them pink and then putting white on the end  by hand very messily.  All if this cost me $30, and I had to go home and file and reliant them.   I'm not saying this is how they always do manicures, but I doubt that the woman who started my nails was even trained properly. Hanging out at Montage on a day off, some friends and I were looking for a place to get glamorous, well at least for the little bit of time we were away from camp.  We stumbled upon this gem while coming from Starbucks, and thought that we would check it out.It was a weekday, and early afternoon, and the place was busy, but not so much so that they didn't get you in right away.  I am a big fan of the shellack, but this visit, I opted for regular polish on my hands instead.  I got the mani/pedi combo and it was a pretty good price for the combo.  You have your choice of regular pedi or spa, which involves sea salt.  The guy that was taking care of me put on gloves (which I have never seen before), which was the norm for pedicures.  The foot and leg massage were amazing and so relaxing.  The manicure was amazing as well and had a hand massage that was pretty awesome as well. They also have numerous waxing services if you are need of a cleanup!  All in all, I would say that we were impressed with the service we received.  Nice visit if you are in the area! Read Less

HORRID! If I could give them NO stars I would! I use to go there all the time, always over priced, but always did a good job and the location is great so I did not mind. However, over the past year there are all new people they have become lazy and complacent about their work and still the prices are high! When I was there last my nails chipped before I left and the nail technician actually had the audacity to scold me in front of the whole shop while the woman next to me was also getting yelled at by her nail technician about her poor choice of nail care products. I could not believe it and had 2 women near me say they would never go back just witnessing it, and I could not agree with them more! They also do not clean any of their tools properly anymore, I saw them use a pair of cuticle clippers on me they then used on someone else! Overall very disappointing and I suggest you stay away!!
