Friday was my first time here and I will be a frequent customer here moving forward. I had severely damaged hair after taking out extensions done at another salon. On Friday I had a wedding and was freaking out due to the condition of my hair. I went on Google and found New Attitude! Called and the girl got me an appointment that afternoon for an updo. I was beyond in love with what Julie did to my hair that I scheduled an appointment with her for the next day for another updo because I had another wedding Saturday! This place is fabulous! Shelby did my hair, and Amy did my nails, both of which I will share pictures of if I can. They were both SUPER friendly and quick, but also created wonderful results! I am extremely picky about my hair and nails, not getting either done often, so taking this chance was a big deal, and they did not disappoint. Next time I am in the city, I will be returning. I found New Attitude through a Groupon.  I went to their Facebook page and I saw some beautiful color!  I worked through FB Messenger with Tammy to see if we could accomplish what I was hoping for.  She was able to work with me realistically with what I wanted to achieve and the existing state of my hair.  The salon was peaceful and Tammy has a wonderful, warm personality.  We discussed what I would need to do to keep my hair in this state of lovely color and my price range.  I felt listened to, respected, and understood.  Only positives from me. She listened to what I had in mind, looked at my pictures and gave some great feedback and suggestions. I have been searching for a decent hair stylist for years and was worried I'd never find someone I liked. I decided to give New Attitude a try after reading all the great reviews they got. I followed Julie here as she has been doing my hair for 10+ years & is the only hairstylist I trust. I live an hour away from Monroeville now but still go to her because she is just that good! The salon itself is also gorgeous, modern and has a very comfortable, relaxing setting. I would recommend to anyone looking for a salon and hairstylist they can trust and keep going back to, whether for maintenance (highlights, trim) or for an entirely new look. I moved to the area over six years ago and have been looking for someone to cut/style my hair since.  My search is over!!!!   I finally found that person and I couldn't be happier!!I visited Tammy Poorbaugh at New Attitude Hair and Nail Salon for the first time a few weeks ago.  She was fantastic!!  Listened to what I wanted, and then gave me a great haircut!!  I have super curly hair, and she knew exactly what would look nice and be easy to take care of.The staff is friendly.  The salon space is clean.  And they made me feel like I was an old friend returning for a visit!! I stopped in New Attitude on whim a couple of months ago, hoping they had room for a walk-in. They did not (totally understandable) but were extremely accommodating and were able to set-me up with an appointment soon after.I've now gone to Tammy twice for a hair cut. I have been VERY satisfied by my cut both times. She was able to incorporate my ideas while at the same time giving me a cut that worked really well for my hair type. I really appreciated that she listened to what I had to say, as I've been to stylists at other salons who have "gone rogue" and decided to do whatever they wanted with my hair!I found the price to be very reasonable - $35 for a really good quality hair cut.Everyone at the salon is friendly and talkative. It's very comfortable sitting at the salon for a cut. I haven't tried any of their other services yet, so I cannot comment on that.I plan to stick with New Attitude for my future hair cuts! I got highlights with Kelly as a new client, I've been shopping around for a new stylist in the past few months. Not only was my cut and color awesome she was sooooo quick! I am always a little apprehensive to go to a new hair salon, but I was put at ease immediately on the phone when booking an appointment they were friendly and helpful in finding a time that worked for me. On walking in they looked confused and when I said I had an appointment  there was nothing in the book. I played them back the message they left on my phone confirming I had the correct date and time. They were so nice and apologetic. They got me in right away and gave me a 30% discount for the mix up.
