This was the worst experience I have ever had with a nail salon. We made appointments for three pedicures for my mom's birthday. They didn't have enough people working so we stayed in the water for about 15 minutes, then one person attempted to do all three pedicures. He took off my paint, then my mom's, then my sister's. Then he filed each one of us...etc...It was $25 and the worst pedicure. We left with our feet in the same condition as when we arrived with a different color paint. It was disappointing. I was very disappointed with the service and people at this location.  My request to not use a file to remove mail polish was ignored, my old mail polish still remains on my nails, my nails address different lengths and the white line from the French manicure is uneven and looked terrible!  I will not be returning and it cost me $40. They were the sweetest! I had a gift certificate and they treated me with the same treatment as everyone else and made it so I enjoyed myself. I've been to a few other places that treated me poorly because I had a certificate and rushed my service and got me out the door. I will definitely be back. Love them! Read Less

Will NEVER come here again! Had an incredibly expensive experience. I was trying to tell the girl that I could see between my nail and the tip she put on. She kept saying "is fine, is fine". Well 2 days go by and one nail breaks off, I go back for them to fix it and they say it will be hours till they can fit me in. I leave, upset, and then I notice that my nail is discolored and another nail breaks! I now have to go elsewhere and they will have to remove the "old", less then a week, and I paid $100, and charge for a new set! Not happy😬 Read Less

Totally should have looked here first! but then again I had gotten a gift certificate for Christmas so had to go here.  Anyways... went this week with my best friend.  Was told they don't do acrylic, but would do gel powder for $40 or UV gel for $50 both would be an additional $5 for the top gel coat "so they last longer."  We both agreed to UV gel. The workers were not conversational at all. Felt like we were not wanted there. Besides the point, my friend was done before me so they charged her card while i was finishing up and was charged $80!  When she questioned it the woman said "UV was $75 plus the $5. It would be $50 in addition to my gift certificate."  Funny, I never told her how much my gift certificate was! I told her I was not paying that much as she gave me a different price and nowhere in the shop did anything say $75.  (I was looking at the price sheet as she was not talking with me and my friend was on other side of the shop and it would be rude to yell).  After arguing with both me and my friend, and me telling her to take off what she had done so far on my hands, she said fine only $55 each but would not refund my friend. Said i then I must pay her difference. That's difficult when people don't always carry cash.  Now here's the kicker... the 2 nails she had left to finish look the best and the rest look like shit oh and 2 broke! Had a mani and pedi here. Nothing special. The place was a little dirty. I feel like I was rushed and did not relax during my time there. A good thing that was done was my gel polish was soaked off instead of filed off. The last place I went to the guy was burning my nails with the file. I may go back not sure yet. Read Less

I went in for an appointment at 5:30...waited 30 minutes then said i'll come back another time then all of the sudden i'm now allowed to sit at a nail booth and wait another 10 minutes. Once someone came over i told them i wanted a gel manicure which i found out costed 85$ after tip, it looked decent. Nothing special. What really pisses me off is i just spent $85 for them ALL to pop off within 2 days!! I called and they said "I cant refund you but come in and we'll fix it" Screw that!  This is not the first time I've been here and this happened,  i went about 3 months ago and got a gel fill over acrylics which they said would be "fine", the guy ended up buffing my nails down until they bled! I kept saying it hurt but he said he had to do it. I mustve forgotten how terrible this place was. They do not care about you because they know you will be replaced by another person who doesn't know how bad they are. I will never ever ever be going back here again, I've ended up going to beauty creations and they are by far exceptional and will be recommending them to all my friends. You've been warned people. Be prepared to spend a ridiculous amount of time there. They have no respect for appointment times & think nothing of leaving you waiting 25+ minutes before starting your service. If you want to spend over an hour & a half getting a standard pedicure, this is the place for you. Read Less

I had a 1pm appointment. I got there at 12:50 & picked out my polish. I was led to a pedicure chair at precisely 1pm & left there soaking for 25 minutes before I asked just how long they were going to leave me sitting there. Apparently it's the norm for them to line up a bunch of people to soak (there were 4 people soaking) while they work on other clients. They shouldn't schedule appointments if they can't manage the calendar. I was there for an hour & a half for a standard pedicure. All of my toenails are different lengths & the edges are sharp. If I had critiqued, I imagine I would have been there for another hour. Lesson learned. Read Less

Like another reviewer, overpriced Gel set broke in 2 days.Not only do they charge more than most others but after they start they try to get you to pay for even more. I skipped pedicure because it was twice what others charge. I tried them because I was stuck in  a rainstorm and was right nearby. Should have gone on to Nail 4 You, one exit further. Went there to get a full set of tips. Would have gotten pink and whites but they charge 70 dollars. Ended up with pretty looking nails but broke one 3 days later  on Christmas daywhile opening a present. Another nail broke the following day. I have had nails before and never broke one.  Several people told me that the product was poor and not bonded properly. Read Less

I'm so glad I found this place. Honestly none of the nail salons around here can compete. I am always satisfied. Essence nails is very clean and everyone that works there are very professional. Aside from nail services they also offer massages and waxing. They have a great collection of nail polish as well including OPI and Essie. I highly recommend this place and my favorite technician Regina, she's the best. =)They are located in the Kmart (West Fall) Plaza which is very convenient. Read Less
