I went to Emily S, after receiving a bad haircut and color from another stylist at another salon.   Trust me when I tell you, she did not have much to work with.  But, she did a great job!  This woman definitely knows her trade.  She also was very willing to spend time with me, and explain what she was doing to correct what the last hairdresser did.  The color is also terrific.  Plus, the salon is beautiful, tranquil, and above all immaculately clean.  I highly recommend. Facial and haircut by Emily.  She greeted me with a lovely smile and bubbly personality. I thoroughly enjoyed my facial and she did a great job on my hair cut. She understood what I wanted and told me what it would need to get there but she made my hair look great. I liked it at the salon but when I got home and saw I was thrilled. Never again worst experience!! The lady slapped my hand 4 times she was very rough on me !!! The nails where so ugly and crooked She sat there and argued with me trying to blame me !!! I love T&L but this was the worst service ever !!! Never again !! My real nails are so sore & she proceed to pull the acrylic off as my hand started shaking from all the pain she caused me !!! I only recently found this nail salon and I'm glad I did. I found them on FB and took advantage of their happy hour discount. They are SO friendly, their prices are very reasonable, they use various cleaning/sanitizing techniques and that's very important to me (some, I've never seen before), and they do a great job! Oh, and they also actually listen to what I like and don't like and make sure I'm satisfied as they proceed. Finally, they have so many different cool options... for color and design (again, some I've never seen before), that it's actually hard to choose! I've only been there a few times, but I'll be going there from now, on. I'm happy to give them a great review. Here is some additional info: they have a massage therapist that is there on certain days; they have two of those foot massager machines (like in the Brookstone catalog); they also do waxing and eyelash extensions; tips have to be cash, but they have a stand-alone ATM and I saw a sign on it that said something about refunding the fee to you (I didn't read it closely, so don't quote me). Finally, they have a program where every so-many visits, you get a discount...but, I forget what it is. No, I don't work for them, but I like to give a good review when it's deserved. Nails are a special occasion for my 9 year old and I always feel no one listens to her requests (even if they are crazy) However, after only 5 minutes in Serene - I knew it would be different! The owner and her co-worker (friend) listened to my daughter and did a great job replicating the nails she wanted. This is the best hair salon around!  They not only are stellar in their craft, but offer the latest techniques in the area and are always 'on point'.  Whether you want a regular cut and color or the latest in fashion colors, they can provide you with exemplary service!  And the other thing that is cool is that if you feel like you want to try something different, you can just go to another stylist - no drama!  (I've had each of them style my hair at different points.)  Plus, they do things like eyelash extensions and the latest nail techniques, so you really can get it all done at one time (which I love.) After my appointment at Serene Hair I know that I will be able to wash and style my hair quickly and it will be great.
