I went in for a fill Sunday 10-22-2017. I have acrylic all the time - I don't know what powder is what so I figured it was acrylic like always. I told her when I sat down I wanted my nails shorter right away. While doing my nails the lady started filing after the dremel and I said,I want them shorter and she said something about shaping and something in another language and I thought she understood, apparently not as she was about to polish them and I said, I asked for shorte...r multiple times. She finally did what I wanted and then got some kind of stick stuff all over her hands and was getting it all over me so the a younger guy came over and finished polishing them. I went to pay and it should have been 17.00 for the acrylic fill and 10.00 for gel polish = 27.00 right .... Oh no, $40 +, I'm like what???? She said Solar gel and gel polish. Needless to say I snapped and told them you ask you don't just assume a customer will be OK and do what you want, you ask what they want if you do not know what kind of fill they have!!! She starts jabbering about better for my nails, Um NO ... Better for your cash register. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to the Epic Nails Just Outside Dicks in the Burnsville Mall (So we are clear on the location) It's Definitely has gone downhill since I started going. Really sad, as I really did like the one guy that usually did my nails. He wasn't there that day, I should have skipped it. I've been here twice and will be happy to go back again.  I had a pedicure and an SNS gel manicure which is better for your nails if you go gel because there is no need to cure after applying.  Both times the SNS lasted 3 weeks - probably could have lasted longer but my nails grow very quickly.  Very nice folks - very clean and comfortable salon...... I am really torn how to review Harvest Moon as I really feel the experience was somewhere between 3-4 stars. I stopped in for a pedicure Saturday afternoon without an appointment.The Good: The Salon itself is very inviting looking and they offer a quality mimosa, spa water, and cookies during your treatments. They are well staffed and everyone was friendly. The staff also offered for my husband who tagged along (we had plans afterward) to sit in the pedicure chair to use the back massage and have a drink which I thought was sweet. The pedicure is reasonably priced ($30) and includes a mini hot stone massage. The Bad:When I leave my usual nail joint after a pedicure my feet are baby soft, smooth and all around rejuvenated. This is because my normal nail tech does a fabulous job buffing out all my foot abuse. When I left Harvest Moon my feet felt basically the same as they did when I got there. I am all about nail salon hygiene but I thought it was very odd that the staff here where rubber gloves throughout the whole pedicure process even the hot stone massage. This for me just felt weird. Lastly, as I was in the drying area I realized my pedicure was only one coat thick. I realized this because I heard another woman asking for her nail tech to put on a second coat. In the future if my regular nail place doesn't have any appointments, I might stop here for a polish change or a manicure, but honestly I wasn't super thrilled with the experience. Read Less

This place was really nice! It seemed a little empty but I think they are still in the process of decorating since they are new. A big space which is nice and they offer wine which is a nice touch. My gel manicure was nice, but nothing special and was $32.I say this because the bare minimum was done....cuticles, file, paint, done. Most salons are now offering hand massages, hot wax, etc. Would definitely come back if I was right around the area, but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Read Less

Tried Harvest Moon out today based on reviews. Boy were they right! Not a bad thing to say about the place. Super clean, beautifully done and they even offer drinks, although I didn't take them up on them this time. I got so lucky to have Michelle today. She is the sweetest thing ever! She did an amazing job and can do whatever you ask for. Just show her a picture! Never thought I'd leave my girl in the city, but Michelle is just too good. Went in with my friend as she needed a fill, repair and polish and as mine are real i asked for a polish, they said it was overlay??? Ok ive always done my own nails so not really sure what exactly it was and as I waited for my friends to be finished as hers obviously would take longer they said mine was $50!!! And hers was $40!!! Never again, i should have been told price b4! Found my receipt from the places I have been to b4 and it cost me $63 for manicure and pedicure together! What a rip off! :( Read Less

My niece got her nails done yesterday for prom. He nails looked horrible and I suggested she call them in the morning and ask them to remove the nails and give her a refund. My sister ended up calling and dealt with an extremely rude guy who told her there are two locations and asked if she was sure she called the right one. Obviously she knew she called the right one and he asked how she paid, she initially thought it wa credit card and the she asked my niece and my niece... said it wa cash because the credit card terminal was not working at the moment, the guy said "oh, how convienenr" he then told her to come on and they will take them off. When she arrived she was treated poorly. He helped her and clipped then filed her nails before he soaked them, which caused my niece some discomfort. He then ripped the nails off, didn't clean them up after. He then proceeded to make comments about the fact her mom had called and that she was upset. He also made it known to everyone around them that my niece is a nail biter, including showing them and embarrassing her in front of others, some of which, are her peers. He then refunded my niece saying"don't return". Trust me we won't but this will be posted in several areas including notifying the state for your extremely rude and unprofessional, bullying behavior. How dare you treat another human being like that, a teenager at that, it's not her fault you did a horrible job, I don't blame her for wanting her $40 back ($35 for nails plus the $5 tip).
