I've been struggling to find a go to nail salon around here since I moved in June. I tried two other places and was very disappointed. I saw this place on here and saw the good reviews so I thought I'd try it!Appointment only is nice...I was the only one there for most of my services so it was super relaxing. I got a spa gel pedicure and gel manicure. The ladies took such good care of me, I felt pampered and relaxed! They were friendly and gentle and so sweet. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the prices. It's a little expensive for my liking but so is everything else around here (my salon at home is way cheaper). I am from the Jersey Shore and just want to say how "amazing" this place is. At first you are going into a condo development, but this place along with the staff are truly a hidden gem! They removed heavy dipping powder off my nails and did a perfect gel French manicure. They also make their own lotion and top it off with hot towels. Simply amazing work! Extremely friendly staff who clearly love what they do. They were attentive and helped me relax during my spa mani/pedi with gel nail polish. We are from out of town and went to Nail House and they didn't say hello and seemed too busy to acknowledge our presence. So we found VF Nail Bar. They were so nice! Our reservation was for 6pm and wasn't seen until 6:40 for a manicure and pedicure. The girl who did my nails was rude and rushed through the my manicure and pedicure just slapping paint on my fingers, just to put my feet in cold water and give me a 7 minute pedicure where she ran through the steps and again just slapped on paint. I called the next morning because my nails looked horrible and I asked she speak to the owner and the response I got was "she's not in and won't be until next week" and then she hung up on me. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, very unprofessional and they just lost a client for sure Read Less

My experience at VF Nail Bar & Spa was exceptional. I called and made an appointment for a full set 30 minutes before they closed.  Lindsey took so much time and care on my nails. I have never experienced someone spending so much time on them to make sure they looked good.  And they did... they looked better than they ever have before.  The complimentary wine was amazing too. Not only did she go above and beyond on my manicure, she offered me a pedicure, even though they had already closed. She assured me that I wasn't inconveniencing them at all. The pedicure was amazing. The technician gave me a 30 minute foot and leg massage as well.  There was another client in the salon long after close as well. The client was offered a full hour massage that they accepted - again AFTER they had closed. Not once did they look annoyed or inconvenienced.  I am so thrilled with my experience and how beautiful my nails look I will be returning for the foreseeable future. Read Less

Been to a lot of nail salons in the burbs outside Philly, and it's usually the same old service. Nothing terrible, but nothing to talk about. This place sets a new bar with complimentary drinks, great product AND they listen to you instead of trying to sell you something you don't want. Wow. I brought in my own vinelux nail polish (it's regular nail polish but lasts longer). And I was told they had to charge me $8 EXTRA because it's a service they provide! That's ridiculous!!!! This place is my refuge. I get my nails done about once a week whether they need it or not. Within two visits they knew me by name. The woman who runs the place is clairvoyant, I swear. She always seems to know exactly what I need. But objectively. Services I've had: Gel nails: always gorgeous, ballpark guess, around a hundred color options. Their designs are always on point and they're enthusiastic about trying out ideas. Pedicures: I've fallen asleep while in the chair. Twice. They're that comfortable and relaxing. This is coming from someone who can barely stand to have their feet touched. Toe polish is, again, always on point. Wax: possibly the best brow shaping I've ever had done. Ever. I suspect wizardry. So comfortable, I went ahead and had her do my "problem spots" on my face as well. Deep tissue massage: the room is private and comfortable, just a teensy bit small. I was truly shocked by how much force this teensy woman was able to apply. Because it was deep tissue, I was a tiny bit sore after, as though I'd done a particularly trying workout. On top of all that, the women are very warm and welcoming. I always breath a sigh of relief the moment I walk through the door. I moved to the area three months ago and needed to find a new nail salon.  I could not be happier.  I have always gotten pedicures but never a manicure.  On my first visit Lindsay asked if I would like a manicure (with gel polish) and I've been hooked ever since!  They do such a great job and my nails have never looked better, been healthier and are so long.  I feel so pampered every time I come here.  Everyone is so friendly! The salon services were excellent--nice looking nails and enjoyable massage.  HOWEVER, the prices they quoted when I called were inaccurate and when it came time to pay, they charged a much higher price than what I had been told on the phone.  The lady told me "I should have known" and "I should have asked for more details" because when she said a certain price for gel mani/pedi that means gel mani and regular pedi.  Additionally, when she asked if I wanted detailing and I said no, she still charged me extra for having different colors on my fingers (which has not been the case at other salons).  So although I liked the services, I was disappointed by their billing and I gave a smaller tip than I would have otherwise given (usually give 25%). I wasn't sold with this place..... They're way to expensive for the quality that I received on my visit. Firstly, for acrylic refill they charge more then any other place in the area.... $30 FOR A REFILL. Wtf, I can get a whole  new set for that cost: Then explained because my acrylics were "long" it would be an up charge.... Firstly, I work at a daycare my nails cannot be that long. After suggesting maybe to cut them down a bit (which I was open too) .... The lady had continued the conversation saying the nail style I had previously is "'not in style" probably the rudest thing anyone has ever said to me. It's not about "style", it's about making your customer happy with what they want. Plus, I've never been up charged for wanting acrylics at a medium length vs. short. Definitely one of those places that Nickel and dimes you.... So she cut them and proceeded to do the work, I get the bill and what else do we have a cut down charge of $4/5 can't remember. Like if you're doing acrylics this should be standard for a refill. This place is ridiculous, I ended up paying around $40 for a nail refill. In King of Prussia, I can get it done for $18 OH and btw if you think the quality is better somehow because it's more, wrong! She talked about using natural products that were healthy for the nails which wasn't standard acrylic and they were so thin and fragile that they started breaking after 5 days. Hubby & I came here on a last minute treat. He had a Swedish massage, which he enjoyed & rated a 7 out of 10. I had a gel mani & gel pedi. I'm very happy with how both turned out. Both techs worked in tandem, since we had a later appt. I wouldn't agree to that again however, since I couldn't really focus on relaxing, with so much going on. Nonetheless, the staff was very welcoming & listened to all of our requests. The place itself is really quaint & clean. The downside: The fees are definitely on the higher scale. My gel mani & gel pedi w/scrub was $100. Hubby's massage was $70 for an hour. There's only one menu of services at the salon itself. No fees on their website, nor are there any take away menu of services, which isn't helpful. We used the Yelp check in offer of 10% off "Any" service for first timers. However, we were told it's only good for nail services. They don't specify that @ all, anywhere. Also, tips are in cash only. So make sure you bring some if you plan on using a card. Overall it's a nice "once in a while" splurge. Like the manager said, they're usually appointment only & mostly cater to the Valley Forge complex residents & you definitely get that exclusivity vibe. Comfort and convenience describes my experience at VF.  The many kindnesses, caring and attention to details makes this salon the one to go to.  I started going here when they opened three years ago, and will go no where else.  Free drinks, spa services and the ability to relax and enjoy being pampered are the added features to getting beautiful nails. I took my 5 year old daughter here because it was right downstairs from my in-laws condo and I didn't want to drive out. The service was ok but I feel like the owner just cares about making money by just trying to sell useless service to people. She really pushes with the customers on service and that's really unnecessary. Their also expensive. I think I could have gotten a better deal if I went out further. When I was there, the owner was on the phone the whole time worrying about filling her schedule up and made my daughter wait 45 mins on the seat when she could have started on her manicure. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Do not go there for permmanent makeup or eyelash extensions!!! I doubt she is certified and trained for that! Most likely not and just doing that after watching couple videos on youtube!First I went for permanent makeup touch up that was done elswhere. She completely ruined it! Eyebrows was diferent size, shape, ink ran out of borders, when i came to fix it in 2 weeks she couldn't find time!:) got it fixed in Europe and because of her not professional job it's closer to each other then it should be, that was the only way to fix it.After a year I went to fill up my eyelash extensions. I had it done so nice, no iritation, no glue visible, couldnt feel its there! At this place ahe sticked it all together in hige glue balls that I barely can blink. Its all hard and not flexible and I can see them, feel them, looks horrible and feels horible!!!! Stick with waxing and nails but please dont do what you have no idea how to do! NEVER COMING BACK! I travel weeks at a time for work and can never really find a good nail salon.  I found VF the first week I was here thanks to YELP and am so glad I did!  I'm just sad I can't fly to Philly just to get a mani/pedi!  The place is clean and quiet and of course a glass of wine doesn't hurt at the end of a long day.  Usually with me, a shellac mani barely lasts a week, this lasted over two weeks and probably longer but I went in right before I left so I could get one last one before I left town.  Prices are reasonably compared to others - I got a French shellac mani and a reg pedi for $65 (I think French is extra.)Location is hard to find, I drove around forever.  It's on the first floor of the 1000 building, I went in the A entrance and just walked around until I saw it.  You can probably go in any of the 1000 entrances to get to it. While living in KOP, I discovered this gem.  They are hidden and don't advertise much, primarily because they cater to the residents in the Towers.  Nevertheless, I have never NEVER had a better experience. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated with kindness. While you're preparing for your service, they'll usually ask if you'd like a drink (drinks are on the house....even the wine!) I have always had Hannah take care of most of my services each time I have gone in.  Her work is impeccable and takes such care.  She is incredibly sweet and personable too; always asking about how I am and what new things have been going on in my life. I have also had another woman do my pedicures too, but her work is perfection as well. When my family comes into town, we make it to VF Nail to get our mani/pedi done and sip on some wine too! My mom frequently goes to get her nails done, so she knows what is great service and what isnt. She LOVES VF Nail. A little pricey, but so incredibly worth it. Read Less

I went to VF Nail bar for the first time today and can sum up the whole experience in one word PERFECT!  The staff were all so friendly and accommodating from the time I called to make my appointment through the time I was leaving. I went with a gel manicure and a pedicure and couldn't be happier with the results. Unlike some of my past experiences at other nail salons where polish was sloppily painted on with the goal of getting me out the door as fast as possible, the staff at VF Nail Bar really took their time and their attention to detail was spot on. Worth every star. I had regularly been going to a salon near my house, but I decided to find something near work so I could waste time before getting stuck in traffic on my way home. This place, although hard to find, was the best place I could have picked. I didn't realize how much I didn't like my regular salon until I went to this one. As soon as I walked in, she greeted me, unlike the normal awkward silence you can sometimes get. They only do appointments, but she took me since they weren't busy and it was appreciated. Lyndsey did my nails and she had the best communication a nail tech could have. She asked me what I liked about my nails and what I didn't like, how I like them to look and feel and really got a good understanding of what would work best for me. She also checked in to see how I was liking them as she was doing them and I felt like I had complete control over my nails. Normally I feel like I ask for a refill, she does what she thinks is a good refill and I settle for how they look, pay and leave. Whe Lyndsey did my nails I was so happy with everything she did from start to finish. I told her I wanted classy, natural and durable and thats exactly what I got, without settling, I am more than please with this place and will definitely be returning regularly. I got a gel polish, acrylic refill and a manicure for $47, pricey, but worth it.Btw, if you pull into the main circle of Valley Forge Towers, it is in the 1000 building to the right. I found this salon in Yelp looking for a place to get my nails done on the last minute on NYE. It's a bit hard to find as it is within a big condo complex. They were open late, very friendly over the phone and incredibly accommodating when I arrived, even though they were supposed to close in 30 min. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. I have to say this is the best gel manicure I have gotten in years. I don't know how they do it, but it is now almost 10 days later and my manicure looks as great as on the first day. Not even tiny bit of chipping, lifting, fading, nothing. I am amazed.  I also like that the salon is very private and quiet and the ladies working there are very polite and sweet. They genuinely make an effort to give the best service. I will definitely be returning. Read Less
