It’s a shame! I have been here at least 3 or 4 times. Betty is an awesome tech, her service is great. However, it has been my experience as an African American Woman, that the manger/greeter (Asian woman with orange hair) has never said hello when I enter, even when I have said hello. I did not want to assume anything the first 2 times so I would continue to pick out my color. Soon after a White Woman will enter and she greets her and prioritizes her service. This has happen 3 times with the 3rd being today. I put the color back and walked out. When I receive excellent customer service I don’t mind paying a little more. But I refuse to pay more and be treated as if my money isn’t green like everyone else’s 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️. No thanks! Read Less

Just moved back to the area, went here based on reviews and rather disappointed. Got a gel manicure and a pedicure. The gel polish started fading wasn't the original color I had. I barely used my hands so it does not make sense for the polish to be like this. This started happening 4 days after I got my nails done. Went in for a gel manicure, it was awesome! The technician was so nice, they use essential oils and lotion on your hands, giving your arms, wrists and hands a massage. While your nails dry they give you a neck and shoulder massage, I could have fallen asleep right then and there! They also give you a 15% discount if you pay in cash! They keep the environment quiet so you can relax and there are no annoying people chatting away on their phones. Highly recommend! This is a true 4.5 star rating - I made an appointment and while they were super busy I was still taken care of on time. I had my acrylics filled, and had A MILLION color options. The woman who did my nails was sweet - and the only reason I don't give a 5 star is she couldn't get the shape right at first. The nail was super crooked, then wavy and pointy, and I was losing the length which was making me a little anxious. What are you people doing with your nails around here? Come on. Nails should never be thick. This place knows it's stuff. Well, I can only talk about UV gel nail (they look like acrylic but they are not, they're like a liquid version of acrylic that needs to be painted on.) it needs to be thinned out since the product is thick, and most places don't have the right tools but this place does and Betty knows her stuff. It looks amazing and the price and time is worth it. She's very precise! Used to enjoy doing my nails here but unfortunately a few of the manicurists tend to dig too deep when removing cuticles causing me pain. The last straw for me was when the manicurist suggested my wife had fungus on her toes (which she doesn't) and the owner apologized but the damage was done especially when the manicurist spoke in Spanish among themselves while looking at my wife. I usually do my own nails, but whenever I needed to get them done I used to go to Unique Nails the one close to Giant. Finally decided to give this place try yesterday and I'm so glad I did! The service here is much friendlier, the ambience is better too. Technicians.here all have name tags on, which may sounds silly but I think is adds to the customer experience. Being used to the lack of nail polish selection from the place I mentioned above, I was so happy to see the nail polish options here. Plenty of new colors and staples available for both Essie and OPI. My pedicure was done by Anna. She was great and paid a lot of attention to the details. My manicure was done by Elsa which was also good. Prices are very reasonable $15 for manicure $25 express pedicure, $30 for regular pedicure and you get 5% discount if you pay in cash. I never leave reviews, but this time I have to. I have visited this salon on a couple occasions just to get a pedicure they tend to be rough. I went on one occasion got cut and that was the straw that broke the camel's back and I did not visit after that experience. Then my nail lady went out of the country and I had no choice. I decide this time to get a full set. 😐😑 i am a firm believer that after this experience I am almost certain that they are racist. Based on how I was treated compared to how people not of any ethnic decent were treated. The girl took two hours to do my nails, she had an attitude, she was short with me, yelled over me the whole time (talking to the other technicians) while doing my nails and my nails cost $70. $ 5 dollars extra for a coffin shape (and the way she shaped my nails look terrible). I will never ever ever visit this place again. To summarize: 1. They are rude 2. They are overpriced 3. Poor customer service 4. They look and act miserable 5. They do less then average work. Terrible service! I was a first time customer and I will not be going back! Had asked for a pedicure, the technician kept cutting into my skin. Had to pay $5 dollars just to get the OPI brand polish; when if you go anywhere else there is never an up charge. Sat me down, never turned the dryer on. Cindy, the manager, did my nails and they are looking the best I've ever seen them. This was my first time at this salon. I got a gel manicure and hot stone pedicure. As I sat down for my pedi, I was asked if I wanted something to drink. As my feet soaked, I looked around and noticed that although it was a little tight, it was a lovely salon. Cindy was courteous and always smiling. Every time one of the techs needed assistance, she was always polite, patient and helpful. The nail techs barely talk to each other in their language. If must be deliberate. Anyway, it's appreciated because that's usually what happens at salons - the techs talk amongst themselves and you're stuck wondering whether they're talking about you lol. The hot stone pedicure is a little price but worth it! I suggest getting it at least once every in awhile. You get a complimentary back massage when you opt for gel which is nice. I usually do my own nails, but I decided I felt like a manicure and pedicure, and happened to have saved a coupon I received when this shop opened last year. Despite arriving on a busy Saturday afternoon, I was seated right away and offered a drink. A young woman got started on a very involved pedicure which included lots of scrubs and lotions, a hot stone massage, and finally trimming of the nails. When she was finished, a different woman, Jade, came to apply the actual nail polish.Before we started my fingernails, I asked if I could pay, so I wouldn't be messing with my wallet with wet nails (and was actually kind of surprised they didn't suggest this). The manager gladly accepted my coupon, explaining that it had no expiration date, and gave me an additional 5% off for paying cash. I had somehow smudged a couple toenails in the process, because I am a klutz, and Jade cheerfully fixed them for me before continuing with my hands.The manicure process also involved a decent amount of lotion and massage, followed by a nice application of polish. I will be honest, I was a little worried about the way she was shaping my nails because it seemed a little rounder than I prefer, but actually they turned out great!I noticed some ladies getting neck/shoulder rubs either at the manicure table or while they were at the dryer lamp, but none was offered to me. I wonder if this is part of a different package, or maybe offered with gel manicures.I'm subtracting one star only because I didn't see much evidence of sterilization of tools. Not saying it doesn't happen, but what I thought were autoclaves around the shop turned out to be warming towels and stones. Some of the tools are stored in little jars of some sort of liquid, but even if that sterilizes them, it won't do much good on a dual-ended tool if only one end is in there.Overall, I really liked the atmosphere and service here. I think it's worth the price, and I would definitely come again.Tips: Enter via the downstairs entrance with the red awning, not the upper door that looks like it would be the main entrance. I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but this place was so bad I had to. My friend and I had appointments today (a Wednesday), and we walked in and started picking our colors. It was not busy at all and they really rushed us. I immediately knew this was not going to go well. I had to get another gel manicure taken off, and my tech tried to go in with the saw and got annoyed when I said no. Then she kept rubbing way too hard with a nail file, even after I repeatedly asked her to lighten up. After soaking them, she SCRAPED off the polish, and really went at my nails some more with the file. She thinned them so much and broke some of them, I am furious about that because I spent months trying to grow them out.Some people don't like when nail places talk, but this place has no atmosphere whatsoever. Our nail techs barely talked to us or each other. I read from other reviews they were offered drinks, neither of us were offered anything. Not even smiles. I work retail and customer service, I know how hard it is to smile all day. $45 for a horrible gel manicure. I got little gem stones on my nails, so they added a ridiculous $15 to their already expensive $30 gel mani. I go to a place that does lavish, extravagant nail designs on every nail for less than $10! The little gems have already fallen off because she applied them incorrectly. The other nail place I go uses specific gel glue that keeps it on for the whole two weeks. Besides the horrible gem stones, I have so many air bubbles and disgusting cuticles. My friend's mani looks horrible with dents and bumps from incorrect application. Calling to complain tomorrow. I wish I could get a refund but I bet they'd never do that. I'm never going back again. I got my nails done here on 3/21/17 two days ago prior to my vacation. It's a beautiful facility, but never the less it wasn't a great experience. It was 20 for the refill, 5 for a cut down, 3 to fix one nail, 15 for gel and additional 5 for particular colors on top of her telling me it is another charge for shaping my nails the way I already had them. ONLY FOR MY NAILS TO COMPLETELY SLIDE OFF 2 DAYS LATER. I will never go back its ridiculous to pay my hard earned money for poor quality that doesn't last. I see why nobody was there when I went in.. if you are in the area go to unique nails better service, better quality. NEVER AGAIN!!! Read Less

I was looking for a new pedicure place open Sundays, and found The Nail House. I called to make sure I could get in for a pedicure, and was so glad when I was able to. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by a friendly face, and shown the pedicure options. I chose the Hot Stone Spa Pedicure, and it was wonderful! Betty did an amazing job!
