Terrible service. I purchased two Groupons for my mother and I, which I scheduled weeks in advance. Upon arrival for our appointments, instead of being greeted, the lady just pointed at the wall of polish, and then to the pedicure chairs. Only one nail tech was available (even though we had two appointments at the same time). The pedicure was just fine, lasted less than ten minutes. I checked my toes after sitting at the drying station for over half an hour. My pedicure was s...mudged, dull, had bare spots, and they did not put polish on the tip of my nails, so even if I planned to keep the polish on, (which I won't because of how smudged) I don't believe it would last more than a few days. One big toe was also mysteriously bleeding afterwards??? My nail technician was nowhere to be found, so the polish job was not remedied as it should have been. Will not return!! See more Read Less

Went in to get a pedicure, I ended up getting the one that was $45. I was quite upset that she did my pedicure in 22 minutes! I would understand if there was a lot of customers waiting but there was no one in the salon. I was the only customer. I usually go to Tu Nails in Woodbury but I was in uptown at the time and thought I would give this place a try. It was a waste of money. The pedicure I usually get at Tu’s is $46 and they spend 45-50 minutes on me every time. I will not be returning to calhoun nail spa. Read Less

I loved this place when it first opened. My nail technician was let go. Which I totally understand but it was all down hill from there. I had a standing appt every other Saturday morning. The one morning I was having a pedicure and a refill. No one started my pedicure for an hour. I was sitting there with my feet in cold water. I said something at 15 minutes past my appt time, 30 mins after my appt time and 45 minutes after my appt time before the manager even acknowledged what was happening. The technician apologized and said they didn't allot enough time for her appointment before mine so it isn't her fault. I don't know if I will ever go back to this place. I purchased a Groupon for this nail salon and was having a decent visit. The salon was clean and the tech was nice. She asked if I wanted to get the new customer price which was the same as the Groupon (it actually turned out to be $6 more). She took my voucher number down, but I was a little hesitant. The next day the polish was half off of one nail. I went in to get it fixed and it seemed to be rushed. Three days later the top of other nails started to chip almost like a regular manicure. I'm really picky with my nails and I like to go with the trends, but finding a nail salon in the suburbs that keeps up with the trends is hard. I'm so glad I found artech! Today was my first time in the salon and I was so impressed. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming to my daughter and I, and the services were excellent! I had Annie today...she did a refill, a repair and gel hologram for me and I love the way they turned out! She took her time and was patient with me when I didn't know what I wanted. You walk into a salon as beautiful as this one and you immediately begin to think they're going to charge you a fortune and they didn't. Their prices are fair and competitive for the area. Wow! If you are looking for a new nail place, Artech will blow your mind. The service technicians are incredibly talented. I just had the best pedicure of my life for only $25. The ambience in this nail salon is fantastic. Kimmy and Phuong were the girls that worked on my daughter and I. The salon is decorated perfectly. Each client is served chilled water or wine as well as a square of chocolate. You will feel pampered and spoiled when you leave. We can't wait to come back again. The environment is great, and they offer SNS (powder dip) manicures; however, there are only a few color choices if you want SNS. This salon has just opened and seems very clean. I gave 3 stars because of the following issue:For some reason the color of the powder was not uniform on one of my nails. The technician redid it, but the same splotchy color phenomenon happened again. The technician did not know how to resolve the issue, and I was not offered any kind of discount or compensation despite the fact that only 9/10 of my nails looked good when we were finished. It left me feeling gipped and whenever I look at it, I'm annoyed. That being said, I love the shape and color of most of my nails, so I'd go back and give them another try.**UPDATE** Today I went back for a pedicure and it was even worse than before. The pedicure took forever and worst of all the polish would not dry! After hours of working at my computer, my toes were still not dry. I paid extra for a spa pedicure, but whatever oils they used were not properly removed from my nails before polishing. The polish slide right off some of my nails, but adhered to others. For a $70 pedicure, I expect MUCH higher quality. This place is so not worth your money - go somewhere else! Read Less

My sisters and I were shopping in the mall, and decided to stop for mani/pedis. $78 dollars later for a 25 minute pedi and the worst gel polish manicure. Think if you had a 10 year old polish your nails; the color wasn't what I had chosen and the polish hardly covers my whole nail.. I work in a salon and I have a handful of nail clients myself; the cheese grater (that's meant for food, not your skin) and the pumice stone are totally illegal. When I pay that amount, I expect a decent job- I give my gel mani 2 days? Haha it's all over my cuticle and there is bumps and debris in the polish. She did a good job on my nails but nickel and dime the shit out of you. She told me it was $20 for a fill and some how left paying $31. I figured the fill would have included shaping them as well but they don't. And just a matte top coat was an extra $5 as well which is the same process/timing as a clear coat? I had never been to any nail salon before in my life and if I hadn't twisted my lower back and was unable to trim my toenails, most likely I would still have never been to one. BUT .... I am so glad I did go. I explained my predicament to TAM and my awkwardness about even coming in. She quickly put me at ease and made me feel very relaxed. Really this was the total solution to my problem, not just my toenails, but also my lower back pain! First off, the foot bath whirlp...ool felt incredible and then I sat back in the huge hi tech massage chair while my feet were being bathed. Tam explained everything and took extra time to tell me how long each step would take, what would happen, what the result would be. She is the ideal person to take care of a first timer, not only a regular. The mineral coating after that on my feet while they were each wrapped in a steamy hot towel felt so good. And all that time, the massage chair is working its magic on my sore back. Then she tended to my feet and nails and the final step was getting to pick out the lotion of my choice for a foot massage before stepping back into my sandals. Before I even came into the spa, I was disappointed with the customer service. I called three times to set up an appointment: the first time, she put me on hold for 15+ minutes and never came back. Second, she told me she'd call me back (three days later, she still hadn't) and third, to finally actually make an appointment. The technician herself was very good but it was clear she didn't know the pricing ahead of time. I was using a Groupon for a discounted gel manicure and ...basic pedicure (which she tried to talk me out of using for some kind of special deal, didn't make any sense) and after just a basic cuticle trim on my toes, she asked if I wanted to pay $10 to upgrade my pedicure to include scrubbing the bottoms on my feet. I have NEVER been to such a nice nail salon and then not had a basic pedicure not cover THE BASICS. The Groupon should have at least described the treatment if it was so basic. While she was waiting for my feet to soak about halfway through the pedicure, she started on removing my gel manicure, which I appreciate for good time management and efficiency. After she buffed all of my existing gel nails, her coworker said something to her. She then informed me it would be an extra $10 to remove my existing gel nails. I did see after that it specifically says that in the fine print on Groupon, but I still would have liked a heads up BEFORE she ruined my existing manicure. She painted my toenails nails a color I didn't ask for, but after being up-charged twice already I wasn't about to question her. Now that I can get a good look at my feet, my nails look like I painted them myself with White Out and I still have dead skin flaking all over my feet (apparently that upgraded pedicure wasn't worth it). She did a lovely job on the manicure except for leaving almost all of my right-hand nails tilted and shaped to the side, making it look incredibly cheap (which it WAS NOT). The other woman checked me out and couldn't understand why I was slightly miffed about all of the additional charges. She then gives me the receipt with an extra $1 charge for a credit card, which she also didn't explain. This nail salon is beautiful. If you come here ask for Annie. She makes my nails perfect every time I go to see her. I don't know what I would do without her. She is such an asset to the salon. I'm so appreciative of her. My nails were awful from when I went to a different salon and she has fixed them and they are much healthier now. My nails used to always lift up and break and I always thought that it was my fault or that it was how my nails grow but Annie has been doing them consistently for months and they don't lift up anymore and I've only broken one but it was my own fault.
