I tried two other nail salons since I moved into the area at the end of September and I didn't like their service (1 went too deep under my nail and the other place their gel polish and 1 nail just made it past 2 weeks). So I found K nails and they are open on Sunday's and I went it a little after 3 pm without an appointment and the wait was like 5-8 mins, they offered me something to drink and when all was said and done I love my nails and my eyebrows waxed job. I want to cry right now. I went in because my mom comes there for her gel manicure. I was about to lose a thumb nail that was ripping that was long. My wedding day is dec 2nd and I had all my nails long except for 2 that had broken but I wanted to let them grow before I decided to go with a tip. I told them all this. What did they do, they shortened all of my nails put 4 tips on and did gel on every nail. All I tried to explain to them was I wanted something on the thumb to k...eep it from ripping and gel manicure for every other nail. Now my nails are so short and I just want to cry cause I didn't want fake nails for my wedding!!! He loved how long my nails were and I even got a compliment this morning about them from a coworker. They don't listen to you and then charge you for what you never wanted in the first place. I told them no tips and then they cut my nails to the skin so I have no choice but to get a tip. I have been going Kim for a few years she is excellent, I've never had a better manicure and pedicure for that matter. My gel polish lasts at least a month and a half, but when I got regular polished it never chipped! Before that I would go to Mimi at Julies Nails that's where I met Kim, she was so skilled and very professional. When she left there and opened her own place I insisted on following her! I have been here twice and both times my service has not been what was expected. The salon is clean and the technicians seem friendly but my manicures ... I've had better in other places. My last visit in December was for a manicure and the technician began removing my polish with a sanding tool. I told her it was regular polish and she immediately stopped. She also used the sanding tool on my cuticles after clipping them which she cut me twice. The one is healing well but the other one is red and sore. NY nails were also filed uneven and the UV gel polish has chipped on 2 nails. Although the technician did use the correct products. I will not be going back. Read Less
