Stopped in for a manicure (no polish just wanted to clean up my cuticles) given the high rating, and was super disappointed. Less than 15 minutes, ZERO cuticle oil or any sort or nourishment for the nails, uncleared nails, about a 20second "massage". Pathetic. Don't waste your time. I could have done a better job myself. Very disappointed that I walked in at 9:35 this morning and was told that I most likely couldn't be seen at all today. The girl in front said she could maybe squeeze me in at 3PM if anything. She wasn't friendly nor welcoming. I took my business down the street. While waiting to be seen at the other salon, I opened up the Polished booking information for the location in trolley square and found the following appointments available. I love coming to Polished and have for a few years. Staff is friendly and welcoming and do a wonderful job. I have enjoyed every pedicure I have ever had done there (as a rule I do don't get manicures because I am too rough on my hands and they never last.). I highly recommend Polished to all my friends!! Love this place, come here every week. Homegirl Ree hooked it up today! But I've had all the girls and they are all amazing! There is always an appointment available that fits into my weird and busy schedule. I love booking online. Convenient location. The sweetest girls ever who really care that you like their work and the color you picked out. Always on time and never make me wait and even manage to squeeze me in when I am late. I wash my hands at least 50 times a day due to the work that I am in and my gel nails last all week sometimes even longer. Much higher quality than the place I was going to before so now I only come here. The place smells fresh and not like acrylic cancer dust flying into my lungs like other salons. Overall I am a very happy customer and will continue coming here for my regular nail care. A+ Read Less

I went for the first time last week.  Totally didn't know it was so close.  Julie did a great mani pedi and her aunt did great nail art with leaves.  Tons of compliments.  Took my daughter home for fall break for a pedi and she loves the spiderweb design on her big toes.  My new fav nail salon! Your own daughter even came back in and apologized for the way you overreacted in the salon in front of everybody. I ALSO heard you made numerous derogatory remarks towards Asians during your visit. Absolutely love this place. I have never left unsatisfied and constantly get asked "where did you get your nails done? I love them!". Unlike most places they take their time, they're very precise with their work and very precise with their designs. Everybody who works there is friendly also and treats you like a friend. I've never had any bubbling or any other nail mishaps. I live about 30/45 mins away but always am willing to make the drive because there's no better place out there. Read Less

If I could give a zero I would. I called the day before my appointment and talked to the lady about nail art I wanted done for a wedding I'm in. She had no problem. Show up, and she had someone.. Again no big deal to wait for me. My party of 3, one got taken. It's been 2 hours now and they have take 7 people before us 2.Disrespected isn't even a word. This is fucking rude and unfair. you ask when you will possibly get in and physically this young dude "I don't know, not my job"I have never been to such a terrible place. Walked in on my birthday with my girlfriend to get a pedicure. We were told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait which we had no problem with. One of the techs walked up to the recepionist & said "what do they want" clearly irritated. He informed her we wanted pedicures & she responded saying she only has time for a polish. At 3:00. With other techs mindlessly wandering around making it known they weren't busy. I will never give business to place that makes me feel like a burden. Read Less

Karen at Nail Secrets is great!!! I ended up here by accident when another salon canceled on me last minute. Thankfully, Nail Secrets has accommodating hours, and Karen saved me when I needed to get my nails done for engagement photos. They look AMAZING! Edit 1/16: Went back today. Karen fixed my nails and was super friendly. They look great now.. We'll be back to see her! -----EDIT: I'm so angry right now. I knew the gel polish was sloppy. I buttoned my pants and it lifted on the corner.. Now my nail is half peeled off.-----Had an okay experience. We made appointments and when we got there the woman seemed confused.We got our pedis which were fine, except the woman who did mine used yellow cuticle oil on my legs instead of lotion? I'm not sure why but that was strange.The guy who did my fill was great. My nail shape and fill are wonderful except for my one thumb is a really awkward shape.. It's like he over filed it. Whatever.The same woman who did my pedi did my gel polish and it's awful. I picked a dark purple color. My skin is stained all over and it was sloppy. Also, she didn't completely cover my nail with the top coat so some of my nails are half glossy half matte looking.Also, my mom and I got the exact same thing but he charged me $80 and my mom $50.Overall, I probably won't be back unless I book an appointment with Karen. Yes!! Finally found a place to call my salon! Very clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. Karen did an amazing job and I'll never let anyone else touch my nails again. She was able to clean up and perfect my nails and she had her work cut out for her. Can't recommend this place more. I had heard really good things about Polished so I decided to schedule my mani/pedi with them before a wedding I was in last week. I was really looking forward to being able to relax and be pampered for a little while. My appt was at 6:30 on a Wednesday night and you would have thought that it was midnight on a Friday. I was rushed through and my manicure was being done at the same time as my pedicure. It was uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. Then the employees were shut...ting the lights off as I was still sitting at the dryer. I felt very rushed and as one of the employees was putting oil on my nails she chipped the nail polish on one nail and just let it go. By that point I was ready to leave so I just grabbed my bag and left. I was also talked into the nail polish that is in between regular and gel, it is supposed to last a full week. I decided to pay the extra money to get it but I am disappointed now that the nail polish is chipping. Do not judge a book by its cover! The plaza this salon is in doesn't look very welcoming, but this salon is GREAT.  Hands down the cleanest salon I have ever been to, and there's nothing worse than being pampered in the dust of someone else's nail shavings.  The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our entire bridal party got mani/pedis and some had their brows done. Everyone is happy, and Nail Secrets allowed us to bring our own pizza and champagne. I'd recommend this place to anyone, and it will be my first choice for a salon from here on out in the North Hills. Read Less

Came here yesterday to get acrylics and was very happy with the outcome! I was very upset that when I called to see how much acrylics were I was told $27. When I got there they said to get pink and white was $50 and to get color was $27. I was only told one price and was upset to find out that I was told the wrong price for my nails. Please be more specific when telling clients the correct price for things. Read Less
