First, I'd like to make it clear that I have never had a negative review of any company or business in my entire life. Having booked an appointment for my mother's birthday for three of us on 12/20, we arrived 15 minutes early. Though it took a little while to get placed in our chairs, the beginning of the treatment went as expected. After the first portion of our Shanghai pedicures, we waited for a good deal of time before the actual pedicure portion began. First, they attended to my sister, then me. I became frustrated and began to keep time on my phone as I waited for someone to approach my mother. After well over ten minutes, several employees came over to my mom and asked her if she was someone else on multiple occasions. They seemingly did not have someone available to do my mother's pedicure, although the appointment had been booked. Finally, an employee, Michelle, came over confused and miserable and began the pedicure process on my mom. Within minutes this employee, Michelle, rushed through the entire process and somehow surpassed where I was in my treatment. Then, another employee, Kim, walked over and whispered in Michelle's ear. Michelle abruptly stopped and handed over the products that were to be given at the end of the treatment and told my mom to have a nice day. Before she walked away, I nervously questioned Michelle on how my mother's services, which began over ten minutes after my services could be finished when my services were still being continued (and they still continued for almost 10 more after this talk.) Michelle stood up and walked away with no response and came back minutes later only to say that she had another client and there was nothing that she could do about it and walked away. Cece, the manager came over and painted both my nails and my mother's. I will not even speak of the poor quality of the painting itself. During the painting, I expressed my disappointment to Cece and she said she would speak to me in the lobby. After the services, I spoke to Cece while checking out. She told me that she talked to Michelle and Michelle claimed that she had done all of the services. Cece was hurtful in her accusations and claimed that we were not telling the truth. It was painfully obvious to us since we were a group of three. We paid a premium price for services that were not given. Still, when I pointed out the facts and times, she would not do a single thing. Not even an apology was offered. Cece then asked us to fill out the full payment on the check in her name, which was uncomfortable. Cece went as far as to further disrespect my family and I by asking for a telephone number from us very obviously for contact in the case that our check would not go through. The entire experience was extremely disheartening and offensive as I have raved and raved about this business for some time now. I had been looking forward to going there often, now that I have graduated. I had previously held this business it in the highest regard and I wanted to treat my mom to an exceptional time for an important birthday. Instead, it was a horrible experience where she, myself, and my sister left disappointed and offended. I will absolutely never go back to this establishment and wish I would have listened to many of the negative reviews that I had previously read. Read Less
