If i could give no stars I would because not one good thing came out of this appointment. I never seen such a classless rude salon.. and I've been to A LOT. First off the front desk people are pure idiots and have no idea what their doing.. never felt so uncomfortable at a salon before. Second, i drove an hour there to find out they couldn't do my hair, but the way they went about it was so rude. The stylist Stephanie told me over Instagram she was taking new clients and then I get there and then tells me she isn't.....it was just a mess. AND then didn't even know how to go about it that she was "looking" for someone to do my hair but was standing there yapping to another lady talking about ME. Yeah i heard you and ur lucky i didn't tell my mother right there. Would have got a backslap. The owner was supposed to call us and never got back to us.. the way the workers act just shows where they get their class from. PS this is me being nice. Read Less

I never treat myself to getting my hair done so I was really excited to go in a do something totally different. That was one of the worst experiences in hair I've ever had. The woman had the biggest attitude to me and acted like I was wasting her time. I showed her photos of what I was looking for and she kept saying "oh I can't do that." I have been going to Currie Glen Mills for a couple years now and for the most part I have had a great experience. Generally everyone is super friendly. Being a mom of toddlers I don’t have a very flexible schedule but I do try to see Kat Miller whenever I can. She always does a great job with my thick wavy hair. The last time I went though I had to see a Master Stylist and she was not friendly and used thinning shears all over my hair without explaining what she was going to do. She didn’t even stay to see if I liked the haircut. Before the blow dryer had even stopped she was gone. I emailed the salon to express my disappointment but they never got back to me. I went to Currie in Glen Mills for the first time in October of 1998 to have my hair done for my son's wedding. My stylist was Debbie Diana, who is now Debbie Kaminski, she's still my stylist 19 years later, wouldn't have it any other way. Debbie is the best, I always get compliments on my hair. She's like a daughter, I know everything about her and her wonderful family and she's always interested in what's going on in my life. My Husband and I are attending a wedding tomorrow and I wanted to color, cut and blow out my hair for the occasion. I scheduled an appointment for 12:30 and arrived early - the stylist wasn't ready until 1PM. I asked for a dark brown color and was not happy with the way it turned out - it was black. I complained and the stylist made a half-a$$ed attempt to fix it by washing it with a clarifying shampoo. After that, she tried to rush through drying my hair and when she was called on it, said "I'm past my time. I need to go home." (she was a half hour late!) after going back and forth (with the stylist asking me to come back next week) I just settled for a haircut and color that I am not 100% pleased with - and burned hair to boot. On my way out, I tipped the stylist (who hung out to make sure she got her tip) and the woman didn't even look at me - unbelievable! As a final insult, I had to walk downstairs and let myself out because the place had locked up already. Rude, poor service with unprofessional employees. I shall not be back. Read Less

I was referred to Alicia by a close friend. I trusted her recommendation, but I'm very particular about my thick, curly hair and took to social media to see for myself. I just received EASILY the worst color job ever at Currie. I left the salon with spots the size of a fist, horizontal stripes in sections and highlights that started two inches from my scalp. Upon returning for a color correction, I was told that yes, the color was bad but it was MY FAULT. My hair (although having perfectly good color done by other salons for many, many years) was apparently not tolerating the color well. I booked an emergency blowout here after realizing my hairstyling skills were no match for east coast humidity, and I needed to look awesome since I was a part of my bff's bridal party. The salon was surprisingly swanky and huge--the website looked strange but this salon is legit. Everyone was friendly. The salon is actually on the top floor of their storefront, which is much smaller but had tons of product to choose from. The stylist I was matched up with, Melissa H. , was adorable, no nonsense and great to chat with, and she used some techniques I haven't seen my west coast stylists using. I have been going to Currie for ~5 years now and absolutely love it. The stylists are very professional and do an excellent job. It is expensive but well worth it. The only downfall is that the stylists often let the students do things such as highlighting so if you have a bad student, your hair will not look great but you still have to pay the same price as an experienced stylist. Appointments are very easy to schedule and the salon has very flexible hours, i.e. open in the evening, which makes it very convienent. You are usually taken right in when you arrive and there is only a minimal wait. Read Less
