The first time I went here I had the European Spa Pedicure and I loved it. I went back yesterday for a gel polish manicure. The technician was nice, but not good. She was too harsh with trying to *dig* the polish off my nail beds (with a metal cuticle pusher, no less), did a terrible (almost slanted) job filing my nails, wanted me to *soak* my nails in water (NO, that causes nail plate swelling which weakens nails and promotes polish lifting). Then, she applied the polish unevenly. Oh, and she wanted to apply a coat of polish BEFORE the previous coat's cure time was reached. When I balked, she said, "Oh, that doesn't matter." I paid for a pedicure and a manicure. The place is nice and people treated me well. My pedicure came out great, however my $35 gel manicure didn't fair so well. I have been going to another place further away and paid $5 less and it always lasted at least 2.5 weeks. This last less than two days. I have one nail entirely peeled off and chipping on others. Eh... I have had two pedicures at this location and its just mediocre, at best. The pedicure bowls only have one jet in them, which you cant even feel unless you place your feet right on top of it. The only reason I returned for the second time was because I had a 25% off coupon. My polish chipped after 48hrs. For the same price, I can get a much better pedicure elsewhere. Read Less

I was a walk in, seems like they prefer appointments. They took me anyway. Throughout entire service of gel manicure the technician kept taking phone calls, then was directing people. They could have told me no time make an appointment for later or tomorrow. Even people who showed up with appointment had to wait. The most awful part was there was a gnat flying around technicians head, she kept swatting at it and trying to kill it. Each time I've been here it's been a pleasant experience, short waits, friendly staff, and no overwhelming chemical smell. This was my first time visiting Floris but it won't be my last. Just stopped in last minute with my young niece without an appointment. My normal esthetician has been sick with the flu and I am leaving on a trip to Florida, so I needed to get my legs waxed ASAP. Floris had a groupon for a full leg waxing, so I got that and scheduled the next day. The facility is pretty but that's about as far as I could say for a review. The woman who waxed my legs was nice enough, but she did not wax my full legs - in fact she didnt do anything above the bottom of my knees -  stating that I had small hairs that the wax couldnt get. She never even attempted to do my knees or thighs. When you get your full legs done its ankle to hip - and she also never asked me to roll over to do the backs of my legs - instead having me contort to try and get the back of my legs. Next time I'd rather pay full price and go somewhere that they actually do what they're getting paid to do. I had to go home and shave my legs anyways. Ive always had a great experience here. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. For example today even though i didn't have an appointment, they warmly welcomed me and told me it wasnt a problem and i barely waited and they were able to accommodate my request for a pedi and gel manicure! Everyone does such a great job i dont have a preference who does my nails. And they are flexible with requests and personal needs when you tell them (like my minor sprained ankle today). I dont usually do this but i will say it....I read something about 2 customers receiving a toenail fungus, which ive never had a problem here and cant understand how that would be since everything is disposed and they have a sterilizer machine right in front for you to see them using. Damaged toenails can be caused from a lot of things and 90% of time doctors say its athletes foot or from shoes being too tight.  In fact. They helped with my toenails and they look healthier since ive been coming regularlyConvenience:They have a free surcharge atm machine which i never found at another salon. I have been a customer for at least 5 years and have always had a great experience at Floris. The place is extremely clean and doesn't smell of chemicals like other nail salons often do. One of my favorite nail salons in the area! If want the true "spa" experience, this is the place. It's clean, hip and fresh feeling inside.They keep their equipment in good working condition and (truly) autoclave their tools. Discovered Floris in Exton on Groupon and bought the gel manicure. I was greeted instantly and pleasantly. Lynn was extra patient with me as I am not used to having manicures. In addition, I had a nail that was split and she meticulously cemented it to prevent it from breaking any further. If I could give this lower than 1 star I would. Went for a pedi, and from the beginning it was a disaster. The water was too hot and she acknowledged it, but didn't/wouldn't fix it. She cut my toe nails way too short on one foot. When she trimmed my cuticles and the skin around the nails, it was so painful I pulled my foot away a few times. When she filed my heels it was also painful, but they were very dry so maybe that's normal. My nail polish is splotchy and uneven, ...and somehow on the bottom of a few of my toes. THEN she actually complained because she didn't agree with her tip. Apparently it didn't match the price I paid for my pedi. It was certainly too high of a tip for the service I received. Was there for over an hour and half for a 20 min pedicure after I was only quoted wait time would be 30 mins. The pedicure they offer you is less than what you would get at any other salon and more money. Also they hardly massage. Didn't even put toe separates in when polishing. Won't be back. Had a Groupon for a $19 pedi and I guess it's an express service! I did not receive the FULL pedicure service that you get when you pay $30! Barely filed the bottom of my feet, no cuticle removal lotion, slapped some lotion on my legs and a VERY short massage.  I was in and out in abt 20 min (a good pedicure is normally 35 to 45 mins) and that's being generous! My friend and I went there for a spa day and we both got pedicures. I'll start off by saying that I LOVED my pedicure. HOWEVER - weeks later we removed our nail polish to discover that we BOTH had a pretty nasty case of toenail fungus. I went in for a pretty uneventful eyebrow wax. Everything was fine until I went to pay. I was wearing a shirt with a picture of an alien on it and the woman behind the counter pointed at it, pointed at my face and said "I like your shirt, that character looks like you!" And died laughing. Wtf? I rushed to pay and got out of there. In what world is it okay to say stuff like that to a paying customer?  It's so rude it's almost funny. Have had my nails done here a few times and came here with my mother, mother in law, and sister in law for my wedding nails. They did our manis and pedis in a nice little private room and made it such a special day! Plus my gel french manicure lasted longer that any ive ever had before! Highly recommend! Read Less

The place is nice and clean but the staff is very unprofessional. She and her coworker were laughing and talking about my friend and I the whole time and rushed through our manicure. The girl demanded I tip her before my nails were painted. After leaving dissatisfied the first time, I decided to give them a second chance. In my most recent visit there I chose the $60 pedicure. I was satisfied with the pedicure until the end. I arrived at 6:15 after work and they closed at 7. Right after she was finished with my pedicure (at 7:15) she pointed at the clock and said I needed to leave. Mind you, there were still 3 other customers getting their nails done. I wanted to make sure my nails were dry before leaving and they demanded I pay and leave. This was their last chance and no matter how good the pedicure was, I will take my business elsewhere. After being treated with disgust if no appointment was made, I made one weeks in advance for pedi and mani gel. When I arrived there was a huge group in front of me. I was standing in line with my daughter and overheard a woman without an appointment want to get a pedicure with the group. They told her there was no slot. So I chimed in and said that she could have mine because I was in a hurry and would just get my gel mani. So what did they do???... Do your research before stopping by! They prefer to be seen by appointments, staff seems annoyed with walk ins. I got the European pedicure ($45)  which was fair, but there was nothing special about it. The only difference between a classic pedicure and the European pedicure is a longer massage for an extra $15. In my opinion, I wish I would have gotten the classic to save some money. I attempted to get a gel refill for my nails, but I had to decline due to the price. If you plan on coming to Floris Spa Nail, expect to spend your money. It is expensive! I have been to Floris several times and each time thought...that wasn't at all relaxing. Creepy employees, very little English spoken and generally you're treated with total indifference. Today I went in and when spoken to I told the manager I wanted a pedi and gel refill. Not one person was waiting and she asked if I had a "reservation?" If you want the good and the bad and the honest truth, here's my review.  I went to Floris for the first time last week.  I was impressed upon entering.  The salon is attractive.  They did a nice job on my European pedicure.  HOWEVER, they charge an extra $10 to remove calluses. Then I went on to get a manicure and they ask you to pay beforehand so I did.  In the meantime, the worker kept speaking Korean to another worker wondering where her tip was.  Little did she know it was on my lap. So another worker came over and asked if I planned on tipping. I said yes. They continued to talk about me. I felt so uncomfortable I couldn't even relax, which is what I hoped since I had already payed $80 (pricey as compared to other places).  So, I tipped the manicure nail lady 20% and she followed me to ask me where the pedicure lady's tip was.  Oh my gosh, i couldn't believe my ears (her tip was in my back pocket by the way).  What should have been a relaxing two hours turned into a very uncomfortable experience and $100 in the hole.  Please someone tell them that IT IS NOT OK TO ASK FOR TIPS.  Tips are not guaranteed!! I've been to the Floris in North Wales and loved it, so when I moved to West Chester I went here without a second thought.  Sadly, I was disappointed.  Their prices for a gel manicure are higher than any other nail salon around.  I got my nails done on a Sunday and they had already lifted and chipped by Tuesday.I went into the salon and I was rushed around, they fixed one that was chipped but couldn't get me out of there sooner. I actually experienced someone else with the same experience (coming in to get her gel manicure fixed) when I was getting my nails done.  I should have known.Not even 2 days later more lifted.  I gave up at that point. A gel manicure that should typically last 10 days didn't even last a week. I should have saved the money and gotten a plain manicure.  I'll know for next time.I'm really disappointed as I really enjoyed my time at the other Floris salon! Read Less

I love getting pampered once in a while, so the name of this nail salon attracted me right away. When I walked in I was greeted immediately by the owner Kathy. She extra warm and friendly and kindly asked me what I would like to have done. The place right away seemed soothing and relaxing. They have friendly staff and a remarkable ambiance. It was as clean as my own home and their instruments get sterilized! The pedicure was amazing! They really take their time with the massage and the hot stone treatment was to die for! Overall they are not in a rush to get you in and out. They take their time and make you feel like you are on a mini-vacation destination! Read Less

I am not a frequent flyer at nail salons, but when I do go, this is the place to end up.  I have tried others in the area and none are as clean, organized, comfortable or friendly.  I have had to walk out of other salons before even getting started because of poor ventilation.  You know the places, where the chemicals hit you in the face before the door is even closed behind you...On top of the compliments above they are very kind to my daughter when I bring her in and they do a great job with their nail art on her.  I have had regular manicures and have tried several of the pedicures.  All have been very enjoyable with thorough massages and good care.  No matter which services you get here you will be offered a shoulder rub while you are drying at the end.  There is no charge but I always end up leaving a good tip in the jar because it is always worth it!**It is a large place but do not expect to pop in and out during 'prime time'.
