This was the last straw with Sky Nails..I have overlooked the unfriendliness and untimeliness over and over. I always call to schedule with the same person and still wait. Plan on 2 hours to get a pedi. Ridiculous. Never an apology for making you wait. This is the third time that I was scheduled andI get there and they say Im not....I offered to show my call from this morning when I had called to confirm the time. The owner says no they wouldn't schedule 530 with him he cant do 530 or anytime tonight at all...she walks away in a huff to start a pedi. Rude and incompetent! Done!!! Read Less

I have gone there a total of two times and both experiences were great. I never make an appointment because either way you're going to wait. I get nail extensions with acrylic and gel overlay plus dip. My most recent nails are bomb and she took a picture of them after because she loved them too! The picture I attached are the nails Cheap prices and nice customer to staff relationships! I recommend because no one else in Erie does nail extensions on tips as well as they do. Read Less

Best nail salon in Erie for the work they do. I've never gotten a crappy nail job here. Each technician pays great attention to detail, and they're wonderful people. I always go to Kim. They have a fantastic selection of gel colors too. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because they aren't good with appointments. It doesn't matter if you call or walk in they try to take everyone no matter what and end up shooting themselves in the foot. You should still make an appointment, but expect to be here for a minimum of 2 hours on a Thursday through Sunday. I've gone on Monday or Tuesday and not had this issue though! Well...what started out as a fun catch up with my friend turned into a bit of a mess.  I was visiting the area and she invited me along to get a Mani...on her (super sweet).  She had scheduled an appointment at 1130 which means....nothing.  If you call...they will agree to whatever time and you just wait in the group of people (heard this with every call)....there were 4 people ahead of us and my friend finally got hers started at about 1220.  I was seated around 1230 and the older man didn't appear to me in a good mood....he thought i was just having a polish change but I wanted a Mani.......   The start wasn't too bad since he was trimming my cuticles....but then he started to get a bit rough....and when my hand shook a bit he just held my fingers HARDER and told me to stop moving.   My friend convinced me to get Shellac (we both regretted it) and since she finished before me...she came over.  The color was different than the Natural light pink we were going for.  I asked him if he could recommend a color and he told me to "YOU LOOK."  You would think there would be a little bit of assistance (plus it would get me out of there) but another customer pointed out a different shade and I went with that.  The polish went on lumped/not smooth.....I asked him about it and he told me it would smooth out.......when it didn't he used a buffer on my nail (the electronic one)....still my nails were not smooth and he spoke in Vietnamese to the other workers.......the only word I picked up was "SMOOTH".....so obvious to me he was talking about me.  I was annoyed and couldn't be bothered to listen to me.  It got to the point where I was just happy to get it finished....The massage didn't exist and well when I pointed out that the Shellac was on my skin....he decided to CUT it off and cut my nails more.  This by far was the worst experience I've ever had....to the point where it left me speechless and I almost asked to have it removed but just realized it wasn't worth it.....don't waste your money here..........There are too many other businesses............. Very disappointed in my results. I got a full set of nails done. The shape started out really nice (and perfect) then as she progressed they got worse. I wanted a simple almond shape but i got slanted angles and practically square tips on some of the nails. The color job was also done sloppy and they left me with polish on my fingers. Never really post my reviews but for Sky Nails I am. There is only one way i get my nails done and that is a gel manicure and have them square shaped. Ok, so I went here this past week and they are horrible!!!!!!👎 This my 3rd time going there and I am always disappointed on the finish look( 3rd times a charm my ass, they failed for the 3rd and final time) the 1st time this lady did my nails slanted square shaped, 2nd time I went i can see the layers of the double coating and was slanted shaped as well. 3rd time this guy CUT my nails after I told him I didn't want them cut at all but he said it will make my nails more square instead of filing them down so im like ok. He was so shaky while doing my nails. When applying the gel polish he only did 3 fingers on each my hands then have me wait (WTF) but the way he did each layer of coating was horrible. Then he proceeds to do the last 2 nails on each hand. I never had that done before by any nail tech. So i look at my nails close and I have tiny bubbles on 6 of my nails ,ugh!!!!. By far one of the worst manicures I've ever had. I called to make an appointment for a friend and myself. When we showed up it was clear that we were an inconvenience. They left my hands soaking for way too long in acetone instead of wrapping them in foil (I saw the box of pre-cut foil squares when I stood up to leave) we had the same nail tech who bounced back and forth between us. He was incredibly rough on twisting our fingers around to paint them. The polish is lumpy, spots were missed, and the shaping was very uneven. Almost every pass he had polish on my fingers. They didn't even use any lotion afterwards. The manis were only $16... you get what you pay for here.Read Less

The price is pretty good and the polish does last two to three weeks. But I feel like they are to ruff on natural nails. I also feel like the place could be a lot cleaner. When I got a gel manicure the things you put your hands in really needed to be cleaned. Read Less

I will never be going back to Sky Nails. I was told this is "the best nail salon in Erie". I went for a gel manicure and spa pedicure 4 times. The gel polish application is sloppy, bubbly, EXTREMELY THICK, and all over my cuticles. They use harsh acetone to remove polish which dries and cracks the cuticle. I ask for my nails NOT to be cut down and they file them to death and uneven. Last time I was there the younger male manicurist caused two of my fingers to bleed. After he ruined my nails I went to another salon and they had trouble removing the FIVE LAYERS OF POLISH he applied. On top of his lack of skill, he was extremely rude and never said hello or greeted me. He just told me to sit down and spent the next hour basically destroying my nails. I've had pedicures here and there and it's so interesting because it always seems like they do different things. One place will give you little massages, another will do sugar scrubs, and the list goes on.Here they scrape and actually peel dead skin off your foot. I know I've seen this somewhere before, but I've never had it done, and I'll say, I weirdly enjoyed it! I think because my feet looked amazing afterwards. Who knew I had so much dead skin building up? Aside from that rather descriptive story, my toes looked beautiful too. I'm very happy with the shaping of my nails and paint job. The staff was very nice and $25  isn't a bad price for beautiful tooties! Read Less
