I went this past weekend to get a manicure and pedicure and it was the worst experience. We waited forever at a manicure station becore being attended. The lady that did my nails told me the color I picked was an old lady color but im in my 20s. She also cut my cuticle too far and caused my finger to bleed. She then proceeded to yell at me, accusing me of scrubbing my nails with the brush when I never did. She also cut my fingernails uneven and when I said something about it, she told me that its because my nails are growing wrong...I never had a problem before. Later on, I asked someone to fix my nail and they just put more polish on top. That didn't fix the fact that it was uneven. So I asked another person to fix it and she said she saw what I was talking about but instead of fixing it, she went and got the original girl who continued to yell at me saying my nails are shaped weird. It was the worst...I could have done a better job myself. Even though the inside of the salon looks nice, the quality and the workers are not worth the price of the nail treatment. And to top it off, they expected a tip after the way they treated me. NEVER GOING BACK! And I hope you don't either. Read Less

Left with Bruises - Worst Experience Ever I went in for a pedicure Saturday afternoon. The salon was busy but not crazy packed with a wait time. The woman preforming the pedicure had no name tag and spoke little English which is fine as long as she does a good job. While performing the pedicure there is a part where they scrub your feet with a brush. She scrubbed so hard, I had red scratch marks down my feet. While filing my nails, instead of filing the actual nails, she kept hitting my toes which now have little cuts and scrapes all over them. The woman didn't understand that she was hurting me. I made it to the end of the procedure and went to dry my toes. This is where my experience turned from tolerable to down right horrible. The employees here give complementary shoulder massages while you dry. Nothing fancy but it's a nice touch. I figured the woman did a good job massaging my feet, how bad can this be? As soon as she started I realized she was using way too much pressure. I tried to communicate to her too hard, softer please, etc. She "acknowledged" but continued with the same or even harder pressure. At one point she went down my arms and instead of massaging, it felt more like pinching. I mentioned again that it's too hard, softer please and she came back even harder to the point I yelped and had to yell at her to stop multiple times and eventually tell her to not touch me. This woman was so rough, I have bruises on my arms which I've uploaded pictures of. I didn't want to cause more of a scene so I finished drying and went to go wait to pay. I wanted to say something when I checked out but since she didn't have a name tag I didn't know who this woman was and I didn't see her on the floor when I walked to the front so I couldn't even point her out. I will never go back here. What started out as a happy relaxing time out turned into a nightmare for me as I now have bruises I need to explain to everyone who sees them and because it looks like I'm being manhandled at home. 😒😡 Read Less

I had the worst experience at this nail salon and will not recommend or return. I scheduled an appointment for a manicure. The nail tech did not ask how I wanted my nails shaped. She did not soak my nails. She did not remove my cuticles or dry skin. She simply filed my nails and applied the powder dip I requested. The color that was applied looks nothing like what I picked out up front. When I told the woman that I did not like my nails she told me it was because of the lighting in the salon. I kept asking the woman that answered the phone questions and she kept telling me she didn't speak very well English. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told she was sleeping lol really? I asked if I could speak to someone else and she began to say how she told me 3 times that she didn't speak very well English and that nobody there could help me. I have never had this happen at any other salon. I paid 45.00 for this service and it lasted 3 days. I will never return there and suggest people find a salon that does not rush through their services so fast and do the service right Read Less

I have been going to Providence Spa & Nails for about 3 months and have always gotten a gel manicure. They have always been professional and I have always been extremely satisfied with my manicure. However, the last one I had only lasted about 8 days rather than the normal 2 weeks. I stopped in there after work today with the intention of just having the gel removed. I explained to them that the manicure was peeling. They immediately offered to remove the color and re-polish my nails at no charge. Thank you Nina for your excellent customer service and professional handling of this situation. I would recommend Nina and also Kim has done my nails and I would recommend her as well. Read Less

This was my first visit and my last. I came in for a manicure, not gel, and I was taken aback when she said the manicure would cost $15. In my experience, a standard manicure costs $10.I felt the service was very rushed and it was not a relaxing experience.When she put the lotion on my hands, I was expecting a hot towel treatment and was very surprised when she told me to "get up" and go wash my hands in the back.After she painted my nails, she dumped me in the back at the drying station, sped through a massage that lasted less than a minute and wasn't enjoyable, and didn't come back to check on me or offer a top coat.The manicure came out nice but this experience was definitely not worth $15 plus tip.Please lower your prices and pay more attention to your clients.I'm new to the area and looking for a better salon. I went here with a couple of the ladies in my family. We had spa pedicures and manicures. At the end of our appointments and after paying over $130 for the 3 of us and a $40 tip....one of the workers who did my nails; her name is Sofia, harassed my young niece for MORE tip money! Even after my young niece gave another $10 in tip money, Sofia said not everyone was given enough money. When we talked about our horrible experience, the other ladies in my family loved the hand, neck and back massage during their manicures. Sofia did my manicure. I thought it was odd that she did not put lotion on my hands/arms and massage (standard during a manicure). When I asked Sofia if I would receive lotion on my hands she told me I could have a little lotion and massage on my own hands and arms. I was not impressed and with this tipping issue, I'm left with a terrible experience. Sunny, Rosa and Jen, were all very - very- nice but Sofia made this THE Worse experience I have ever had! It reminded me of getting of a cruise ship in Mexico and children coming up to me asking me to buy their chicklettes gum for a "dalla." This is America and we live in abundance, not poverty where people who are employed BEG and harass people for money. It is so disgusting Sofia treated us this way. Read Less

This place used to be good, but not anymore. I won't go back. The manicurists talk amongst themselves in their native tongue (Vietnamese), making a customer feel uncomfortable and ignored. I also felt rushed, despite spending $80 for a gel manicure and spa pedicure. It was definitely not worth it. Go to a real spa for something like that. It feels like a factory in there. I have had manicures and pedicures several times at providence nails and like other reviewers said - it all depends on who you get. Recently, My daughter and I made an appointment for mania/pedis. We were both seated at the same time but my daughters pedicure was started 10 minutes before mine. The girl that did mine, rushed and I was finished 10 minutes ahead of my daughter. When I got home, I realized my left toenails did not have a top coat. Just two days after my gel mani and the polish is peeling off. My daughters mani and pedi turned out fine. When I asked her what they were for, AFTER SHE ALREADY PUT IT ON , she said "to stop the bleeding" . Leg/foot "Massage" was about 2 minutes on each leg , more like lotion just being rubbed on my legs . DID NOT RUB MY FEET AT ALL !! When I went to put my sandal on I noticed I still had rough calluses on the heels and bottom of my feet . I pointed it out and she looked annoyed that I would critique her work . Went in for gel nails and literally 2 days later one nail chipped off so I figured why bother going in for just one. Slowly more started chipping off within 7 days. I call to tell the salon the situation and they ask me to come in so they can fix it. Soon after I go in, they tell me they will have to do polish change for me since it's been "10 days". I don't know why they can't even count the number of days when I told them 1 week. Suggestion to the staff: DO NOT Waste my time by telllng me to come in to fix it and then expect me to pay for it. I have been there several times. It does depend on who you get and how experienced they are. I have had very good technicians and not so good. I had taken a break from fake nails (gel) for a while and wanted a manicure that would last. They gave me a gel manicure which looked nice but still ruined my nails. My biggest complaint is that they no longer take the time to soak your nails prior to cutting your cuticles, instead they dot some lotion on and put heated gloves for a minute. When they put baggies over your hands with the lotion it comes off your cuticle and does no good at all, I just feel its rushed.. Read Less

The lady was rude and I didn't even get a full pedicure that I paid for! She sat me in the spa chair told me to take my shoes off and just put the sandals on me and painted my toes! No cleaning my feet first, no soak no massage or anything! My pedicure was awesome, one of the best I have ever gotten, while my manicure left much to be desired. I requested to have my hands and toes done at the same time, and the gentlemen who was doing my nails asked me numerous times if I was on a time schedule or in a hurry, and acted inconvenienced by my request. I went into the salon for my first pedicure , I was scheduled with Jennifer for a 3:30 appointment. She sat there waiting for me, jumped up out of the chair, came over with this beautiful smile on her face, and asked, are you Nelson? She brought me back to these huge massage chairs, had me sit down and turned it on. Jen then took my feet and performed her magic. She made me feel important,treated me like a king. When I thought I was finished I headed towards the door,she raised her hands and motioned for me to go to the back of the room. There Jennifer said, would you like a massage? Jen then massaged my shoulders and mid back. When she was done she told me the price $28.00. I was there about 45 minutes, Jen made me feel really good while I was there. I went to Providence Nail Spa and Salon for a gel manicure. The appointment was made in advance, however there was some confusion and the wrong service was written down. That wasn't an issue, neither was waiting 15 minutes for an available technician.Once I got a technician, Jennifer, she was unfriendly and didn't say one word. Once finished with a step, she would push my hands away forcefully to indicate she was done. The entire service was completely rushed on top of it, probably 15 minutes in length. I went to the nail salon with a friend of mine, and I started my manicure later than she did... and was finished much sooner than she. Jennifer didn't give a massage, say goodbye or clearly indicate that the manicure service was even over. She got up from the table, and just went in the back of the salon.I had to sit and wait for my friend to be finished, that is when I discovered that I wasn't even offered a massage. The other technicians seemed much friendlier, and more thorough with the customers. Still, while I was waiting I didn't see Jennifer once. I gave the kind woman ringing me up a tip to give to Jennifer, which I shouldn't have given.Maybe they were overly crowded, but that's no excuse for bad service. Read Less

This was an "OK" manicure. The technician's name was "Linda".Pros: This is a very clean salon and the atmosphere is very good. No toxic fumes floating around that you get with some other salons. Also they were able to take me right away without an appointment.Cons: my manicure hurt! She snipped my cuticles and it left a mark on one of my fingers. My gel manicure only lasted barely a week, and I am not hard on my nails! Usually gel manicures last 2 weeks or so.I'm new to the area and I am trying different salons until I find one I like. I saw that there are mixed reviews on this place. I guess you have to find the right nail tech. Read Less

I had a manicure done for my wedding and this place was hopping! I couldn't image it's as bad as the reviews say since there was a group of people waiting who didn't have appointments. My boss always goes to Nina and swears she does an amazing job with her nails (mani/ pedi/ fill in). I had a pretty unique design that other places told me they couldn't do. I initially went to Nina on my boss's recommendation and Nina told me that Jen would do a better job with the design. Jen did an amazing job and I will definitely come back in the future. For a design on each nail like this my total only came to $35... I was anticipating over $50 easily! Thanks for the great job! Read Less
