We had a 10 am appointment and still had to wait until almost 11 to be seated. First time visiting here. Suggested by a coworker. I recently decided to get tips done and went elsewhere. That place left something to be desired. Tried Pretty Nail Salon for a refill and can say I am quite happy. My manicurist was Sang and he was great. Lots of concern for what I wanted and very quick. I just got my nails done 12/19/2017 and now here it is 12/20/2017 and my polish has come completely off. I went back to get it fixed and the girl rushed to fixed it. I don't usually go to get my nails done, so when I do- I look for a good experience. Firstly, the people that work at this place are amazing. They always have great suggestions if you are not quite sure what you want, and they do the most to make you feel comfortable. The woman that I had today was just amazing. I really wanted to make this my go to place because we literally just moved into the new building across the street. I attempted to go here a few weeks ago on a Friday afternoon for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure but they were packed. So I opted to get a pedicure at another salon in the area and made an appointment for the next day at 2pm. I arrive at 2pm and they had me waiting until 2:30pm ! Strike oneThe female tech I had was older probably in her 40s and she stated how she was tired and kept looking at the clock and saying that it had been a long day and she couldn't wait to be done the for day. Strike twoFrom what I can tell they only seem to care about customers that are getting acrylic nails as they can be money makers. My tech tried to persuade me to get acrylic, she stated that it would help my nails grow. Ummm yeah that's a no, acrylic nails do nothing for me but make my real nails brittle and thin. I have gone to this shop two times. Both times were to get pedicures so this review is solely based off of my experience with the pedicures. First visitI decided to get gel since I was going on vacation and I thought it would last longer. It did not make the full 2 weeks before it was falling off my toes. It was definitely not worth the $15 difference in pricing. My friend got a regular pedi and when I came back her nails still looked perfect like she just got them done. I was highly disappointed in the quality for the price. However the girl who did my nails was friendly and did a good job with cutting my cuticles.Second visit.I came back about a month later and decided to try a regular pedi. Since the first time they did some updating to the shop and it looks very nice. But you will be paying for it, since prices have gone up. I still had gel on my 2 big toes that needed to be taken off. So I thought they would do the cotton ball and foul method, nope... they took a nail sander and sanded it off. It was very painful and I have never seen this technique done before or I would have not gotten the gel prior. Besides that part being painful, which the lady doing my nails thought was funny. She dug at my cuticles until I was in tears. After telling her multiple time to stop and move on. This was the most painful pedicure I have ever had. And was in pain until the following day. I think it was a combination between the sanding of my nail and unnecessary digging at the cuticles. The polish job was average and I am going on 4 days with no chips so I can't complain to much about that. But needless to say I won't be going back after my last experience. I live in Norristown and have been getting my nails done for the past three years at a place that did mediocre work for a decent price but the customer service was non-existent. I went to Yelp to find a new nail salon and this one was so highly rated and the pics look so great I had to give them a try. I am so glad I did! Pretty nail salon is a gem in the heart of Bridgeport. It's a small shop with a lot to offer. The work they do is exceptional and the staff are friendly and attentive. They have made a new customer for life ! Sang was amazing. But everyone who works there is extremely talented. I strongly suggest that if you are looking for a new place to get your nails done you should absolutely check out pretty nail salon. I give it a 2 1/2.  I went with Sang & he was good, but extremely overpriced.  I walked in & asked how much for a full set at the counter & she said $25. Okay. That's an average start price.  He tried to tell me my nails would be $70. Then he called me cheap when I told him I wasn't looking for something in that price range. There's ways to upsell, insulting someone isn't the way. I paid $45 in the end & my cuticles aren't clean & 4 nails weren't shaped correctly.  Please, charge at ur skill level. & at the end he reintegrated that maybe next time I won't be so cheap. I am a nail fanatic, I like my nails a certain way!  All the ladies are super nice, and they treat you as a friend other then a customer. They do great designs as well, over 500 Gel polishes! Everyone is friendly, personable, and they do an EXCELLENT JOB on my nails every time I go. Been to salon on numerous occasions and decided to write a review now as my opinion is not one time based.  The quality of the work by these girls is very inconsistent. I don't know her name but I received a refill here by one of the girls and it was beautiful my nails were gorgeous for two weeks. She did a very intricate design which was dainty and classy. I have been going to this salons for about 5yrs and have never been disappointed. Mimi is amazing when it comes to all the types of designs I get and find on Pinterest. Susan is such a sweetheart always remembering my mother and I. Also, they are all honest. You wouldn't want to walk out looking bad or disappointed so when I show them a design that tell me if it suits me or not. They also give great suggestions. So far I've been to this nail salon twice l, recommended by a few friends and wanted to check it out bc there known for designs which have been very popular lately stiletto nails ect. They do also have an Instagram account which they post pictures of finished work which is nice. First impression you would probably pass by the place if you didn't know it was actually there, tiny, pretty clean, could use some updates. Over all everyone was very friendly which is a big deal to me I work in a salon so I know how a client should be treated, and once I said that my friends go there they were even more welcoming. My first experience was better than than the second I believe Mimi was the name of the first tech she did a great job on my design and had good attention to detail which I love because I can be picky I paid $50 for gel refill and gel polish. Second experience was ok I had to wait alittle bit which is fine they were pretty busy, the nail tech this time was pretty sloppy and didn't really help me get the best idea for a design but anyways it wasn't horrible and I let it slide I paid $45. I've heard great things about this salon! It's very convenient to my job in KOP. I always like the way they do my nails. They are very friendly, talkative and make you feel comfortable and I only go to them for designs and gel polish. HOWEVER... They take SO long to do my nails. It seems like they are always understaffed and I have to wait for an hour just to be seen and then takes another hour or more for just a refill- not including designs! When I come here, I make sure to allow 2 or more hours of time so that I'm not rushing. Don't come here if you are in a rush! But besides that, I really like this place. I def recommend it!! These ladies are professional, pleasant and do amazing work. I have never left there displeased with the service or the work. My nails still looked good on the second week.. I would get compliments on how nice they looked, the design work done by these women are beautiful.I have issues with my feet being diabetic.. and the owner Susan really took care of me. I've only gotten my nails done once here but they were beautiful and I had such a good time.   Girls and guy were so nice and funny(real and down to earth). Thanks to reviewer kiersten c. I decided to come, and my neighbors highly recommended it.  My nails always lift and pretty easily come off, not sure why, but these did not budge and I'll finally be able to get a refill without repairs. . I'm excited to have a good nail salon near me now! Don't expect a day Spa feeling. . I don't know what the previous reviewer was referring to when it comes to this nail salon. EVERY GIRL (Susan, Amy, Mi Mi, Jenna, and Tracey) is absolutely AWESOME. They are always professional and friendly. Even when they are packed, they always acknowledge your presence and keep you informed on the length of the wait. They appreciate any gratitude but with my MANY visits, I have NEVER heard a "cashier" (which doesn't even exist in a nail salon) make a comment about a "small tip". Please don't use that review as a premise for your decision to go to this nail salon.
