poor service. Did not discuss price prior - haircut was >$100 from Michael. Hair color was not what I thought it should be so i went back. When they attempted to fix my hair - the stylist refused to tell me what was in the solution. Instead of Michael welcoming me back -he was rude and made me feel so uncomfortable. If you go here try to make sure that you get a senior designer for a cut. It will be the difference between a bad haircut and a decent cut. And it won't cost all that much more. If you're already paying a lot for a less experienced designer then pay $10.00 more and get more. I've been coming here since it opened and it is a good place but now there are a lot of good places near Blue Bell. But it is large and nice looking. ALSO, don't go there on Mondays because that's when we got the trainees (or newer people) and it was pretty bad. I even showed her a photo and she told me that was not what I wanted. She proceeded to just cut the bottom straight across and was done. I went back next time and got the Sr. designer I knew and she cut it just how I wanted. I had purchased a Groupon and I’ll be honest and say that I was skeptical of how good of a deal it was. I felt like I was taking a risk wondering how my hair will turn out. After researching reviews and seeing photos of the establishment and their portfolios, I decided to try it out. I easily made an appointment, only a couple days away, which I was impressed because of the holiday approaching. I arrived 20 mins prior to my appointment time, and after I checked in, I was... offered to serve myself a beverage from their little mini “bar”. They also have a cart traveling around the salon. Service is definitely upscale! I had an appointment with Kathryn and she worked MAGIC on my hair. My hair needed a total transformation and she delivered! I’m the type of person that gets anxiety in the chair, worried how my hair will turn out. She explained and talked me through everything she was doing. She made me SO comfortable that I trusted her expertise with my hair. I went wayyyy shorter that I would normally would. She made me feel like a brand new person. I would 1000% recommend anyone and everyone to see Kathryn! Jolie Salon and Day Spa is a 30-35 minute travel on the turnpike but I will definitely be back to see Kathryn for my next appointment. I also had the same experience as another reviewer with my child. I was told to next time please find a sitter. Which if that was an option obviously I would have done so.  My child sat in my view at the front coloring quietly and Is insanely well behaved.  They said the salon was very kid friendly but then said in same sentence next time don't bring her.  Even if they were a little nicer or understanding I would get it.  Sometimes people have no other option. I have never encountered this at any other salon. My regular salon as well as others are extremely accommodating to people's situations and needs-due to this I will never go back.  The stylist was very nice and did a good job on color-the floor manager and front desk has much to be desired. I used to be a client at Jolie salon. I would make my appt with one stylist, only to find out when I arrived that she was busy, and they switched me to a different stylist. The last straw came when I was having my color done. Halfway through the process, the stylist informed me that I would be charged $50 extra if I wanted my bangs done! Without wasting too much more time on this salon I will tell you the short story. I am a brunette.  I used a groupon knowing I had to use a junior stylist who colored the top 3 inches of my hair  the same color as the highlights, an orange blond...The junior stylist admitted her mistake and set me up with a redo. I chose not to use her again. I complained via the contact me on their website. A receptionist who does not even cut hair tried to rationalize the mistakes. I saw another stylist who fixed my hair color and highlights to the best of her ability. In the end I ended up with very few highlights which was not what I wanted but at least I no longer had the top 3 inches of orange blond hair. Management never contacted me via email or while I was there each time for 3.25 hours! It was a waste of time and money. Life with thick hair in the summertime can be stressful... I decided that I wanted a keratin treatment but wasn't sure what salons did them or where to go. I called Jolie Salon and spoke with someone regarding the keratin treatments and she was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions.My appointment was with Alex. He was very friendly and very detailed. He gave me the instructions of how to home care for my hair as well during the 72 hour "setting" period. Had microblading done here and didn't want to post anything until my follow up appointment. Since that I was today, I wanted to share my experience from start to finish. Upon entering I was offered a complimentary coffee, tea, etc and invited to sit at a bar where I was consulted by Marisa at length until I felt completely comfortable to move along with the actual procedure. The entire process was filled with pleasant conversation and consultative insight on the aftercare. Even from the start, I was in love with the bold but natural eyebrows Marisa designed. I was warned of my eyebrows being especially darker for the first week so I had the proper expectations right from the start. After a month I came back to make sure the ink had been retained and it had done so. The brows are very natural now and match my hair. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to get their eye brows enhanced to come see Marisa. Read Less

This was my first time at this salon. I decided to make an appointment here after my stylist at another salon was booked through December. The girls and guy at the front desk were friendly and greeted me when I walked in. My appointment with the stylist started on time and he had a great personality. They also have a snack cart and drinks you can have during your treatment; I had a soda and cheese and crackers and grapes. I got a full head of highlights and it took him 50 minutes to put them all in, which is unheard of. I'm used to having my stylist shampoo and condition my hair so it was a different experience having a shampooist do that part. At one point I had two different (possibly three) people shampoo/glaze/condition my hair. I wish the scalp massage was a little longer because it felt so good! I loved the way my haircut turned out and my stylist really took his time blow drying my hair by doing it sections; something my normal stylist never did. Considering he specializes in men, I thought he did a great job on my hair. Be warned, this place is pricy. I spent $195 plus a $40 tip. I normally only pay $125 including tip for all the same services. I would come back here again but only for special occasions as I don't have it in the budget to drop this amount of money on hair four times a year. Read Less

I went to Jolie for a cut, conditioning, and single process color for a fantastic deal through Groupon. Because I didn't specify a stylist, I was paired up with Victoria and I totally lucked out! Victoria is wonderful, both as a stylist and a person. Whether you have a grand vision in mind or no idea what you want, she'll take her time to ensure you're happy through every step of the process. I chose the color she recommended and it's perfect. After explaining I wanted voluminous short layers up top but wanted to maintain my length, she meticulously shaped each piece to come together into the perfect cut. She took her time, made sure I was comfortable, and chatted with me like a friend. When I went to the city that night, my friends thought I had my hair cut while I was in LA. I was greeted and immediately made to not feel welcome when I was told I should have had a babysitter for my over 4 year old, who was quietly sitting by himself reading a book, or left him at home. She said their salon wasn't a place for children. Unexplained that wasn't a possibility and my child goes with me everywhere. I wish I would have left at that point. Unfortunately I did not. I left my child at the front as he wasn't welcome to come back despite the large area (she did allow him to later in since the chair wasn't within view and he was behaving)I paid for a deep condition, cut and style on groupon. I did not get offered the condition. I had wet hair coming in. I explained I wanted my long hair trimmed 4 inches and pointed exactly where I wanted it to fall. (An inch above nipple line)She cut it (wet) to that spot then layered it in many different directions so many different times I asked her what she was doing and she said "texturizing" I finally asked her to stop and at this point my hair which was at/below my chest is at my shoulders. Then she asks if I want even want her to blow dry like she couldn't be bothered. My hair is now so short it's going to take at least a year to grow it to the place I wanted it to begin with. It's been almost a week and I'm madder and madder. I can't help but wonder if they did this because of the beginning confrontation. So no, help, it's not family friendly. Couldn't pay me to go back. What an amazing experience! Customer service galore and the most talented hairstylists, nail techs, make up artists, estheticians and massage therapists I've ever seen. I had my bridal party at the salon and all eight of my bridesmaids and I were blown away by the way we were treated and the services we received. My wedding party flew in from all over, including Los Angeles and New York, and couldn't believe this jewel of a salon in Blue Bell. The salon is gorgeous and they roll out the red carpet when you walk through the door. Thank you Jolie for making my wedding day so special! We will all be back, including the out of towners!
