Olive is my nail salon!  I won't go anywhere else.  Ever.  The owner, Jenny, does my manicure and at the same time keeps her eyes on the shop to make sure all of the customers are being pampered.  You are always offered ginger tea or water, or whatever else they have on hand.  During the cold months, you get a paraffin hand dip.  Pedicures always include hot rocks and a heel paraffin treatment.  All the women that work there are friendly, and do their best to spoil the customers.  Jenny makes sure to update her nail polishes on a regular basis, so there are usually new colors often.  I always look forward to my mani/pedi's at Olive, it's a warm and comfortable environment. Olive Nail Salon is wonderful! I've been going here for 2 years now, and have recommended it to many friends. Everyone is very friendly, and the service is fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and it's the best pedicure I've ever had. The leg massage and hot stone massage included are a really nice touch. Definitely try the Ginger Tea! I have been going to Olive for years and used to love it. It was purchased little while ago and the quality has slipped. Sometimes the service is good and sometimes it's not. When in a rush I've been told to go prepare for a pedicure, but then I'm left waiting there for 20 minutes. Would have appreciated if they told me that they were running 20 minutes late. Could've used the time better.  Many of the newer technicians do not speak or understand English, so explaining color or even how you would like to nail shaped becomes a challenge. Read Less

What salon doesn't do acrylic nails? I have two on because my nails broke I wanted another one and she started filing and I asked if she to put it on because another nail broke two of the nail techs laughed and said no then I said ok just cut them to make them all the same length BECAUSE WHY WOULD I WANT ONE SHORT AND THE REST LONG. I figured she would take off the other two but no she didn't. Then she asked me to move and didn't move my bags and laughed and said "I figured you didn't have a bag" why because I came from work so I was in my work clothes (sweatshirt and jeans) horrible customer service. I tried this place today after reading some good yelp reviews. Olive did not disappoint. It is AMAZING! The service is great and the staff is exceptional and very skilled. I had the pleasure of having my nails done by the owner. She is very warm. My nails look wonderful. I have searched all over to find a place that I would come back to... I think I have found it. Sitting in the pedicure chair right now starting to write this- my first time here and so far so good. Came at 6pm on a weekday and it's just me in here.. Getting a pedicure and the girl massaged each of my legs for like 5 minutes straight and THEN came out with hot stones for more- AMAZING. Also got paraffin on my heels, not sure if that's the norm, but I needed it. Oh, then as you're drying MORE massages- this time an awesome back one! YES PLEASE. Only draw backs are: there are like no magazines to be found near the pedi chairs and the music is very old school (organ and piano instrumentals??), I also love to get BRIGHT colors but they don't really have any except in gel. I wanted to treat myself to a nice manicure and pedicure so I chose this place because of the close proximity and pretty good reviews but I left a little dissappinted. First of all I walked in at a busy time so I asked if it would be better if I come back later so they wouldn't have to rush and they told me to come back in 2 hours, which I did. Neither the woman doing the manicure nor the pedicure bothered to introduce themselves and they were clearly rushing through that which should be a nice relaxing experience. One of them was sortof tossing their tools around and it just seemed like they didn't care all that much and made me feel like I was an annoyance to them for being there.The nail polish used was the same stuff you can get at a CVS and the stuff just would not dry! I was left under the drying fans and UV light and by the end my nail polish still hadn't set so I went ahead and started the drying over again myself since the women that had helped me earlier had left. After the second time it still wasn't dry and I ended up smudging several nails trying to get my wallet out of my purse to pay. Neither of the women who had helped me earlier were there anymore, so the owner offered to fix it.... the next day. I declined because I had to go to work in the morning the next day.  I wish she could have just fixed it while I was there but then I'd be sitting there for an additional half hour again trying to let it dry and at this point they were closed.Overall not a great experience just because of how rushed it felt. I just had the best manicure and pedicure ever!  The entire experience was wonderful! I was serviced right away. My technician, Mauri, was wonderful. She started by bringing me a cup of ginger tea, which is my favorite. She then began her magic, which left me so relaxed. I didn't want to go back to work.  She gave me a foot and leg massage first with her hands then with the hot stones. It was amazing. I LOVE it here!! I've been a regular for about 6 months now. I get a gel manicure every 1 & 1/2 to 2 weeks (depending on how tired of the color I get or if I end up chipping a nail after 10 or so days). The gel manicure lasts longer than any gel I've had, and every employee there does an amazing job! You get a should rub while your nails dry, there's complimentary tea (the ginger is my favorite! I look forward to the tea just as much as to getting my nails done) and there's a parrifan  wax hand treatment in the colder months. Best nail salon EVER!! Absolutely the best pedicure I've ever had! Regular pedicure, not even the spa pedicure, lasted nearly an hour! Hot stone treatment and great exfoliation. So thorough and relaxing, with gorgeous results. Manicure was great, too. Even got a glass of water (could've had tea if I wanted). Brief shoulder rub while my nails were drying. All for only $40! Only complaint would be that my manicurist spoke very little English, especially as compared to the others in the salon. This is not the place to go if you are in a rush. Read Less

I have tried pretty much every salon up and down the main line looking for the perfect balance between cost and quality, and Olive nails it. No pun intended - hehe! A friend recommended this place to me and since it's close to where I live, I decided to give it a try. First, I called to see if I could come in after work. They're only open until 7 but said they'd be happy to take me at 6:30. I asked the girl on the phone if she was sure - I didn't want to keep her after closing. She insisted she didn't mind and that I should still come in, so I did. This. Place. Is. Awesome. My gel manicure was so well done (and only $25 compared to $35 up the street), and the owner who did my manicure was so nice.
