I walked past the salon on my way to Joe's and decided to give their $35 mani/pedi a try. Since I had recently moved, it had been a few months since my last, so I was a little hesitant after reading a couple of the negative reviews, but there were enough awesome positive ones that the negative reviewers must have exaggerated. I made an appointment and it started our OK.. The owner invited me to chose a nail colour.. Once my feet were soaking and the pedicurist got a glance, she looked at me and grimaced. My heals are dry and cracked. She made me fell like I had Shrek's feet. She would try and make eye contact with the owner to maybe get rescued, or sympathy...no clue. I made light conversation saying that it is dry up north in Philly and the central heat is brutal on the feet. She treated my feet roughly....many times I winced in pain. I am pain sensitive and I was definitely handled roughly. Nothing at all was relaxing....I was highly uncomfortable for the first time in my life during a pedicure. The girl tried to upsell and recommend a treatment for cracked feet for an additional $5. I said, "No Thank you" She went at the feet with the pumice with great theatrics. They don't use graters or the razor shavers....just pumice. The massage on the legs was rough and uncomfortable...as was the entire pedicure. The owner slathered my feet with body cream and wrapped saran on them. OK...more attention to my Shrek feet. I'm now feeling like a total Leper. Move onto the manicure. The owner did this and all went well. She is very pleasant and I enjoyed our conversation. As I was drying my nails, the girl returned to roughy "massage me" and hammer at my back. I felt like a punching bag....again highly uncomfortable. Feeling forgotten at the dryers I asked the owner if I was done and she hollered for the girl, who returned to put my shoes on. She was awkward at this, so I assisted her and went to the cash to pay. I had in my mind to give the $35 plus $10 tip, even though the girl was the worst I have ever had....the owner was nice. The owner told me it would be $40, so I guess she already added a tip on it for the misfortune of looking at my Shrek feet. :( I struggled to figured out whether I am supposed to tip ontop of a tip then thought, no....it would be odd since the service was the worst I have ever experienced. I miss my Raleigh nail salon, but I will eventually find one in Ardmore. Unfortunately Daisy Nails did not relax me, and left me humiliated. Read Less

I came in with acrylic nails which she tried to break off with pliers. It hurt and damaged my nails. I lost more than half of my length due to this. She also kept giving my nails this disapproving look because of the acrylic. Afterwards she told me that my nails were very damaged and that's why they need to be short. My nails have never been damaged and I've been getting my nails done regularly for the past 2 years. If she filed the acrylic off like they should it probably wouldn't have damaged my nails at all. Otherwise the end result of my nails don't look bad. The color is good. The only thing that bothers me is that it is this short, when I'm used to having longer nails.I got a free neck and shoulder massage while waiting for my nails to dry completely. It was a little rough but still felt good. Read Less

Only had two pedicures here, during non-rush (i.e. middle of the week-day) hours but both experiences with two different nail techs were excellent. Small but clean establishment and friendly service. I liked the fact that they were playing classical music quietly in the background - made for a relaxing ambiance. Both pedicures included long foot/leg massages, and hot stone and towel treatments; as I was waiting for my nails to dry, I also received a shoulder massage. The first pedicure stayed intact and looking good for weeks. Both technicians had wonderful attention to detail and I left feeling like I received an amazing service for an incredible price. I now recommend this place to others. Read Less

This was my worst nail experience ever. I've had my nails done thousands of times. This woman burned my fingers with some strong chemical glue that still hurts now that I left. She gave me cocky looks the entire time I was in there. I asked for a simple stripe nail design and she acted as if it was impossible. We did not get to that. She told me that maybe if I don't trust her I should leave. When I said it was burning me because it hurt so much tears were in my eyes. Check the photo for what she left me with. First, she didn't use nails, a cheap piece of bendable clear plastic. She didn't even get my polish off from last time and it was black and she rubbed it into my cuticles. The nails are so crooked and fragile and hideous. We didn't even get to acrylic before she dismissed me!!! NEVER AGAIN!! Read Less

AVOID THIS PLACE.  I had a pedicure here right before July 4th.  The technician nicked my toenail right off the bat.  I should have left immediately, but I thought, accidents happen.  It's been 2 weeks and my toe still hurt, so I made an appointment with a podiatrist.  He had to remove part of the nail because of the way the woman cut me. I was actually worried about an infection, because I'm unsure how (or if) this place sterilizes its equipment.  Every review raves about the massages you get along with your nail service.  That's great, but first and foremost, I want a clean, safe place for a mani/pedi.  This isn't it.  The only reason I gave it one star is because you can't post a review without it. I went to Daisy Nails because of all the good reviews here on Yelp, and I was not disappointed. There were two women working, and while I did wait 20 minutes for my pedicure, it was worth it. Plus I was just soaking my feet in a massage chair, so there are worse places to wait! The pedicure was long and very nice. Hot stones, hot towel, long leg massage, and careful attention to my toes. I also got a gel manicure, and it's beautiful. During my manicure I was treated to a shoulder rub. Mmm!! Overall my experience was wonderful, and I will return. However, it is not a express nail salon...I was there for probably an hour and a half. I only minded today because I had someplace to be at a certain time, but I didn't tell them that because I assumed I would be in and out. I wasn't late, and everything worked out. The room itself isn't fancy or posh, but it's comfortable, and the massage chairs look pretty new. Nice natural light. One thing I loved is that the TV was muted, and a classical radio station was playing. It was relaxing. Long story short: it took awhile, but the service and quality is worth it. Good value, too! I walked in the store at 5:35pm and left at 7:08pm...seems long but they were focused on me the entire time. Meaning, they take their time on customers (details below) so I honestly only recommend coming here only if you're not in a rush. Best pedicure I've ever had! They're not rushed & incorporates hot stones to your massage. Would give 5 stars if the gel mani lasted longer.

$35 for a mani/pedi - it's likely the most affordable on Lancaster Ave. Stacy is the sweetest Korean lady ever. I walked in the store at 5:35pm and left at 7:08pm...seems long but they were focused on me the entire time. Meaning, they take their time on customers (details below) so I honestly only recommend coming here only if you're not in a rush. Hot stone foot massages during pedicures + heated back pad while sitting during manicures + back & neck massage while waiting for nails to dry + Stacy putting on your socks, shoes and zipping up your coat in the winter to ensure your nails stay fresh = 5 stars! You'll find it clean and tiny, perpendicular to Ardmore Station/Primavera Pizza Kitchen. I was literally treated to a 20 minute foot massage along with hot stones as part of my regular manicure/pedicure. Best $35 spent for my nails. Stacey and her staff are amazing!! Really glad I relied on my fellow yelpers and gave this place a chance - I will be back. Only thing to note, you will need to find parking at a nearby shopping center or the train station. Also, it's a really small store ...I was there at 10AM, so it didn't really affect me but I can imagine that there would be a wait during peak times. That will not deter me!Update - with a little bit of TLC, my polish with a regular manicure lasted 2 whole weeks! Read Less
