The energy is nice, but the amount of customers that come here is probably due to the fact they can't do it right. I went in to apply acrylic nails, and they applied them crooked and wrong. They never checked which would fit my nails or not, they just applied and some them are crooked. Okay, well I also asked for rounded nails, they didn't even make sure if the nails were at least filed down or square, even though i asked for oval nails. Why charge full price when you know your workers are even certified nail techs? Certified nail techs would know how to paint designs, because it looks like a child did my nails. But I know a child would day way better. Kind of sad, i'll post the picture later. Now I have to either remove them, waste my time and money.Or go elsewhere and try to get them to fix it over periods of time. Read Less

Staff is unprofessional, lady messed up my nails + was very rough. when she finished she asked me if I wanted to leave a tip ... i gave her least than she expected she took it and looked at me a certain way and started yelling something in her language, so unappreciative.. she didn’t even deserve it! Very friendly staff but first visit there my gel manicure chipped after 3 days! Before going, I read a similar review and assumed they had bad luck but unfortunately I had the same results! I don't know if it's the type of gel polish they use or their technique. I'm very disappointed and typically my gel manicures always last long.Read Less

I went for an overlay (cost $21 with the discount they had for the day) and the ladies were nice and fast. Although my tech snugged my polish by accident, she made sure to correct it before I left the salon. Overall it was a decent experience; I'd go back. Read Less

I've been to this nail salon 3 times prior to me going today. I've been serviced here twice out of the four time that I've visited this place.When I did go to get serviced I got a basic manicure and pedicure (Nothing to write home about). My mani pedi was okay, like I said there was nothing special about it. I feel like they charge you more money because of their location.. whatever. The thing that bothers me about this place is how unprofessional they are here! Now the two times that I was serviced here.. there was, what I'm assuming to be a female manager there she was very nice she seemed to want to try and get to know me, I actually felt welcomed! She was there the first two times that I went there. One day I got off work early, and it had been a pretty stressful day I just thought I would go and get a nice mani pedi and relax. Well when I got there, about 2pm on a Friday in my opinion it did not look like there were a lot of people in there but there was a man there that told me they were not accepting walk ins and honestly I was confused. I would have felt better if he wasn't so rude about it, but I just took it for what it was and left. This morning I just thought you know I had some errands to run and I wanted to just treat myself to a gel mani and pedi. I called this morning (since I had an issue about the whole walk in thing the last time) and when I called the man, which I assume is the owner basically said oh you don't need to schedule an appointment, just come in.. So I went in and when I got there he told me I had a little bit of a wait.. I'm thinking okay I will go and pick out my color have a seat and wait.. as I am picking out my color he looks over at me again, you're gonna have a little wait.. I say okay and proceed to look at colors.. he sits at a nail station starts to eat and he says yet again.. you're going to have a lil wait little lady, (in my mind) I'm like sir, I heard you how many times are you going to say it.. I felt like he just wanted me to leave.. So I did.. I crossed my name off the list and walked out.. you clearly don't want me to wait, so I will leave and not give you any of my money!! We did not have a good experience. My friend and I went together for a refill and gel polish. They charged the same price other places charge for designs, but claimed they couldn't do design with gel. they were rough and rushed and we were not happy w the experience or the results. Read Less

While i was getting a pedicure done, the employees were talking about the clients and insulting them in vietnamese! I'm fluent in vietnamese so i heard everything they had to say. I started going to Abington Nails about 2 years ago and they are wonderful! The salon is very nice inside - I am a TV watcher, not so much a talker, while having my nails done, so the TVs are a plus for me. The staff has gone out of their way to accommodate me even when busy, and that is very much appreciated - as a working mother it's hard enough to find time to get nails done, but having a place that is willing to squeeze me in whwnever possible is a huge help! I had moved from Delaware Co in 2004 and went to several nail salons, including one in Roslyn, Willow Grove, Willow Grove Mall...was not satisfied with any of them until coming to Abington Nails. I've been coming to Abington Nails for 6 years...I always receive a warm greating (by name), rarely make an appointment unless being accompanied by my daughter. i was used to great nail salons on every corner in NYC, so i assumed when i arrived to Elkins Park that that would also be the case- boy was i ever wrong... i went to over 12 nail salons in a one year period, finally found this cute place where the techs are talented, friendly and do really great work it also helps that the Giant grocery store is next door where i can pick up last minute ""forgot at Acme"" items and a Baja Fresh for great taco Saturday lunch! I've been going to Abington Nails for over 2 years. I don't have a regular staff person I ask for because my experience has been consistantly good no matter who I get assigned for a pedicure. The staff is always polite and efficient. The stations are very clean. Even though the salon is busy most of the time, I still seem to get waited on within 10 minutes and I've never made an appointment. The chairs are very confortable and I love relaxing and watching what's on the large TV screen. Before you know it -- I'm done! I've been going for over 6 years and I am extremly happy. I get a refill/pedicure and eyebrow wax every two weeks. I have had a few diffrent girls over the years and love them all. Even the others techs are always friendly and say hello. Sometimes I make appts., which I always get taken on time or if I do a walk in it usually isn't a long wait. The quality of the work is wonderful. The management is great. Always curtious and remembers what you like. I think their prices are very resonable.
