Went a few months back for a shellac mani. The color was a nude and I asked if it was sheer, as I like it to be more opaque. My daughter had a nightmare today at Lavish Nails & Spa. She was there to get a new set of acrylic nails and I swear it was the worst experience in her life. The nails were horrible uneven and very rough on the edges. they looked scary too!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX HER NAILS AND DIDN'T WANT TO REFUND ANY MONEY AT ALL. This was my first time trying his place after not having great success at the place I usually go. I was getting a pedicure and showed up a little over an hour of closing time. I was worried they would rush through me to get done so they could go home but that was not at all the case! JASMINE was very friendly, let me relax while I was getting my pedicure and was very mindful of making sure I was comfortable. She payed constant attention to temperatures of the water and rocks she used, didn't rush the massage part, and was efficient and comfortable to be around! Thank you so much! I went here because the reviews were so good, but I am really not pleased with my actual nails and the service overall. I could tell they were short handed, but I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. There was only two customers and three employees when I arrived. A few other people were walking in and it seemed like the employees began to rush to fit people in. One lady sat with her feet soaking for the entire time I was there and had no other service. (Soaking feet for 30 minutes... and she said her water was cold) My left hand wasn’t done by the time it started to get busy and my technician rushed so badly it looked like an entirely different hand, all the nails were a good bit longer and a different shape than the other hand. While hurriedly filing, she cut my finger, and then cut it again while filing a second time. It was bleeding from the first cut and she still went over it again hard! Then the polish she applied was also rushed and patchy because she no longer cared about me or my nails. I just felt like a huge inconvenience to her. I paid, decided against a tip, and went out to my car and filed my left hand to look like my right. Which of course makes my polish look super weird since it’s missing on the tip and side of my nails now. It was an incomplete manicure. No lotion, no cuticle stuff, just slap on a nail at get out quick. And I wasn’t happy. I won’t be back. It was not relaxing and stress free. It was entirely opposite and I just really need to keep looking for a place that will take time in each client instead of rushing people out. Read Less

I am so pleased with the service provided here. The chairs were almost better then any massage I've ever had. Even though I just got the basic pedicure David paid attention to detail. I waited u till I had two fills to write a review to make sure they held up, they did!! I had broke a nail the day before Christmas Eve and it was very short and painful so I needed to get it fixed asap, I was really worried no where would be open since it was Christmas Eve and Sunday, but they got me in first thing in the morning for a fill and Rose make my nails look beautiful. It has been almost 3 weeks and I just got another fill by her today, there was hardly any lifting and will definitely be making this my normal spot from now on. Every time I get a fill with gel, I have a wide selection of colors to choose from. I'm super picky with my nails and every time I go here, I leave super impressed. Though a hidden gem, Lavish Nails in Tualatin, was the perfect relaxing ambiance one could feel and have.  I was completely relaxed from hands to feet.  I had many compliments from the color to the design on my hands.  My nail tech was so gentle and so articulate with my design.  I will not go any where else since coming to see the gals there.  The pricing is great and service is even more excellent! I was a new customer and went in for a pedicure because of all the good reviews. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. The salon is beautiful, clean, neat, and the people are very nice so I am only reviewing my pedicure. I have thick calluses on my heels but she did not buff them at all and I had to ask her to get the heels. She only did the sugar scrub on one side. The massage was very short and not very pleasant. She only trimmed about half of my nails even though they all needed trimming. The nail polish was very sloppy going out of the lines.  I was so ready to give her a giant tip but the job she did was really bad.  I'm posting this so that the owners can understand because I know they would want better for their clients and their business. Went in for a full set (first time customer) and everyone was pleasant. The lady took an awful long time on my nails and seemed unsure of her process.. She did not give me the shape no size nails I wanted and showed her. After I left with my brand new full set I went home and two TWO! nails broke! I have had my nails done for 15 years now and this is a first for me! I returned the next day and they still charged me more money to fix the nails they had poorly done the first round. Holy jujubees. In the last 21 years, I've been to many many nail salons. This one, by far, was a perfect experience. + greeted promptly & courteously + Clean, classically pretty interior + Individual nail kits used: no sharing of pumice or files (you can bring your own too). Sanitized equipment & tubs.+ Best massage chair I ever had. I don't like a hard pound-your-back massage, these chairs had multiple options which actually WERE relaxing to me+ Prices reasonable, didn't even charge extra for buff-no-polish (I've been charged more for no polish in the past. Was told because it takes extra time. It doesn't really take much extra time. ). They offer complimentary water, juice, etc+ No apparent talking about me in their own language. No treating me differently just because I'm fat (Yes, that's happened at other places) + TV tuned to an interesting channel, not sports (in other salons, it's often on sports presumably to accommodate the ONE male 'supervisor' in a salon), with closed captioning on, so I could follow along.+ Anna did my pedicure perfectly, no pain on massage, no pain on callous exfoliation, no cuts in skin. Friendly, not too chatty. David did the most detailed gel manicure I ever had, he was a perfectionist about cuticles & paint boundaries. Also, my clumsy was at peak today, I knocked over the paint bottle, accidentally pushed the table, my timing was off on getting to the UV dryer, like every time, (I was distracted watching TV lol), & he was very nice about it.  I couldn't stop ogling the nails of the lady next to me, having a beautiful cranberry color ombre with tasteful but glam glitter overcoat freehand done by Tina, & now I want ombre+ The only con (& it's not really, im being jokesy), but I had to tip twice what I normally do, because the service was so incredible by BOTH techs who worked on me.This place is a 40 minute drive from where I live, but I'm going to do it. I've been to at least six salons near where I live, trying to find one I liked.==================================Update: depends on who you get, I guess. Today, my nails were done in a hurry, the polish is lumpy, doesn't extend to the edges, nails filed crooked. When nearly done, she wiped my fingernails with something grainy, & one of the grains stuck, so she clipped it out, & now there's a divot in the paint off that finger. I love getting my nails done here. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Walk-ins welcomed! They offer a complimentary beverage (water, wine, tea). Their pedicure chairs have massagers and not to mention the prices are affordable! Make sure to set a good amount of time though. For a mani and pedi, it usually takes about 2 1/2 hours. But they were professionals through and through, had amazing customer service, beautiful and exquisite environment, and were very delicate when performing the manicure and pedicure. The BEST pedicure I've ever had. They were incredibly thorough, and even used their automatic file (the spinning thing) on my moms toe that gets very thick without her asking. I love this place! Lavish Nails is in a convenient location and I always receive excellent service and care. When you walk in, you'll be welcomed warmly, even when they are very busy. They always do their best to accommodate walk-ins with no appointment (although you can make an appointment as well). Everyone who works at Lavish Nails is fantastic, but Kayla usually does my nails (and waxing) - she is very sweet, super fast and professional! This salon is quite unique. I came in to get a acrylic manicure and I was greeted with friendly faces and a warming atmosphere. The process for acrylic nails was fast, although I was only getting a fill. My nail bed was not in pain and the treatment was overall very satisfying. I got a bright baby blue gel polish with a design. The designs on my ring finger are both distinctive. I love the center of the flowers because instead of an average yellow, I got a clear sparkle polish. I absolutely love it. The shape I requested was almond, and I got almond! It's absolutely perfect. I found this nail salon randomly on google after having a terrible experience at two other local nail places I had tried. LaVish nails was clean, inviting, and friendly right off the bat. They removed the full set I had put on by another shop the week before and ROSE, my nail tech, replaced them with a VERY CLASSY, professional, perfect full set! I am current at Lavish Nails for my second visit. I was promptly taken to a chair with perfect temperature water. They asked if it was my first time, and thanked me for returning. They offered me a free beverage, a choice of wines, mimosas, and non-alcoholic drinks. Yay!! The facility is very clean. It is pretty quiet, not a lot of music or tv noise. They do have a flatscreen tv across from the 6 or so pedicure chairs. All the techs wear blue vests with a name tag, which is a nice clean touch. So far so good. Cindy has a gentle touch, unlike many techs at nail facilities. My regular polish lasted nicely last time, and I'm hoping it will again this time! :) Read Less

We called in and made an appointment for 3 of us to get our nails done, but when we got there we asked if we could add on 1 more person and do acrylics instead of just nail polish. I've been twice and had good experiences, but there's nothing amazing about the service.  I have no significant complaints and will go back.  I do wish there was a way to make sure you were getting an experienced tech instead of a newbie (or give me the option of letting a newbie do the work for a lower price), but that issue is not unique to this salon.
