I loved this place. We were in Oregon visiting my sister and decided last minute to get pedicures. Well everyplace we called even the ones that advertised walk in welcome was full or not available. I remembered Tres Jolie from the day before when we stopped and Sesame Doughnuts so we decided to just stop by. It was very clean and we waited about 5 minutes before we were sat. The thing I liked best about them, was they didn't feel it was an inconvenience that we had my 4 year old with us that wanted her toenails painted as well. I have been coming to this salon for several years and have never had a bad experience. The staff is nice and professional, the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant, and they always do a great job with whatever service I've chosen. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is interested in having a professional service provided by kind friendly staff.. I have never had any rude treatment,  (like I have experienced at other places), or the kind of pressure to buy more expensive services (like I have at other nearby salons), or being told to tip with hand held out in my face (like my teenaged daughter experienced at another salon). Nor have I ever gotten any fungus... need I say more? I don't go there to drink,  but if I did,  or if I was thirsty, I would not hesitate to ask the busy, hard working staff for one and I wouldn't be offended or lower their marks on yelp. They work hard to please their customers and they deserve better than that. Perhaps you should visit a few other salons first so you can have a better appreciation for the wonderful staff at Tres Jolie. Read Less

Ok so my first time in I had high expectations for this place based on most of the reviews. The employees were nice when I came in & had no problem fitting me in for a mani/pedi without having to wait. I came in about an hour before close so I was happy they were able to accommodate getting me in. But there were a few things that I was pretty disappointed with:1) I was NOT offered anything to drink when their website clearly states they offer a complimentary drink. I later had to coyly ask if I could have some "water or something" to drink at which point the girl doing my mani asked if I would like wine which I greatly accepted because I sure needed it when I walked in! I just didn't like basically having to advocate for myself. That should have been the first thing offered!2) I was seated in one of the chairs that DOES NOT have massage capabilities while I watched another person vibrating relaxingly in her chair:( So I advise asking for the dark brown chairs so you can have a better experience--their light tan chairs don't seem to be anything special. Couldn't even recline more to be more relaxed. This dropped a star for me for my review. I could understand if all the massage chairs were full but at least ask me what I would prefer if it's available. (On a side note I think when you tell them you are only coming in for a basic mani/pedi they probably don't put you in the better chairs because you aren't a "big spender"--honestly I just chose basic so I wouldn't put them past their closing hours.)3) The gentleman doing my pedi put the salt scrub on my legs without any water being on them since only my feet had been soaking--This felt like he was using a brillow pad to scrub my legs! (Note to the staff--please be nice & rub some water up the calves first before applying the scrub!) Ouch! 4)The pedicure massage was a little light. Which is ok as I get some people like varying degrees of pressure but it would have been nice to have been asked if the pressure was ok or if I would like more...But I suppose that was one bonus was that the staff really didn't talk to me really at all. Which for some people you may not like that but I definitely didn't want to be super social because I just wanted to get away & relax in peace & quiet... So be prepared to initiate your own conversation if you need that during your pampering. I only really initiated slight conversation so I could kind of cue up being able to ask for my darn complimentary drink close to being finished to see if they would even offer. Luckily they did or I would take off another star. I will also say that I am giving them another star back because I really love how my basic paint job came out for my mani (the pedi well yah not the best paint job but ok); and I also think the staff did more than what the "basic" services stated & I appreciated that they didn't try to up my cost like I thought they were going to when I went up to pay. Also $1 for the file set was way cheaper than any other place I've been to when I forgot my own set. Great shellac color selection! And was even able to find a polish match for my pedicure. That was a nice surprise, because that can sometimes be a pain. The staff was nice but not overly friendly. None of them seemed interested in being there, and no one told me about the different pedicure options. They have great hours that are convenient for working people. I recently moved in across the street and tried this place based on its great reviews. I have to say, I concur! I forgot to asked my nail tech's name but she did a fantastic job on my shellac manicure. I am an esthetician so we had great conversation on the similarities of our careers. I kept changing my mind on nail colors which i completely understand can be frustrating but she never made me feel that way. In fact, once she put one coat on of a sparkly blue, I was able to ask if we could put another complimentary color on top of that one to add more dimension and she was totally down. Normally I would never ask something like that mid service because I wouldn't want to be "that girl" but she made me feel welcomed and comfortable enough to do that. My nails turned out great. Won't go there again. I needed a pedicure. They were not busy, and it was a full two hours before closing. The person assigned to me argued with the person that greeted me, then acted sullen for my entire visit. Toenails were filed at strange angles and the polish was very sloppy and gloppy. I'm not that particular, but I could actually have done a better job myself. The bad work, in addition to the pouting that went on before and during my pedicure makes this a place I will NEVER go to again. Read Less

Amazing experience! I was a walk in appointment for a mani/pedi. They were able to get me in right away. Just had a basic Mani/Pedi. Both techs were gentle, and did an amazing job. Massage chairs and small basic massage was enjoyed. Space was clean and organized. No strong salon smells due to air purifier running.I will. I started coming to this place due to location (super convenient for me) but I continued coming to this place due to their great service. I'm a pedicure gal, so that's all I can really speak for. Color selection is fine. Massage chairs are good (though I personally don't like using the massage feature). I'm pretty sure it's an Oregon law, but as per my experiences in this state, you either bring your own nail kit with file or purchase one from them for $2. They usually offer a beverage, but I don't partake. Inside is very clean and bright. Nail techs are usually wearing gloves for the pedicures, which is great. They do have signs encouraging people to pay cash tips and to pay in cash if your services exceed a certain amount. They are not strict on that, but if you want to do so, they do have an ATM. They do have a couple of small, themed pedicure chairs for if you are brining a kid in with you. Everyone is friendly, and I've been coming here on and off for the last couple of years! Read Less

All the other salons i've been to at this price point offer massage and towel.You are required to bring in your own nail file. No one told me this when making my appointment so they gave me a used one to take home after they used it on me.Tools are stored in recycled ziplock bags- not fresh packages like i'm used to. After he used a metal tool on my heel he just put it back in the drawerNo massage chairNo pedicure bowl liners/ display of cleaning after we used itSo... I've been going here for 2 years. I love the cleanliness and relaxing environment. There is no akward side chat, which you usually find at salons. I have very short nails and they always come out looking great. (Which I think is the test of any nail tech) Huge polish and gel selection. If I've had an issue with polish (gel lifting or peeling) they have always fixed it and made it right. Yes there is now a standalone ATM, a little eye sore but easier than running over to key bank in your spa flip flops. If you know anything about merchant costs, it's cheaper to pay for the ATM then process credit cards. Saving them money which they can put back into the shop with new product. I always see Anh with new nail products she's testing out. Overall I love the high quality work, chill environment and pleasant nature of the staff. Clean and attractive environment. Good ventilation. Bring cash for a tip, otherwise you need to use the ATM in the reception area. The ATM only dispenses $20. If you want to leave a $15 dollar tip, you will need to get change at the desk. Careful about selecting your pedicure package. 'Deluxe' package comes with paraffin. My husband and I noted to Staff member that this package came with paraffin treatment. We gave up making our point to staff member. Paid. Call this Lessons Learned. Read Less

I used to love this place. It had nice people and new decor with pretty lights and music. It was so relaxing to be there while getting pedicures. Not anymore. They have done a lot of things lately to cheapen the place and ruin the customer atmosphere. First they added an ATM machine and started requiring cash for services over a certain amount. Now you get to stare at the machine, which is in the front of the store, while supposedly relaxing. They also changed the pricing schedule -- to charge more for less services. They also hired some new people who aren't any good. The last time I was there the new person hurt me several times. It's no longer a place I want to be... they have lost a long time customer. I don't recommend going there as they used to care about the customer experience, and now only care about making money. Read Less
