Vivid nails has become my go to spot for manicures and pedicures. I'm able to make appointments in advance or drop in and be seen quickly. The salon has nice ambiance and is very clean.If I have the time I'll go for a hot stone pedicure which is really relaxing. The prices are in line with similar shops on the area. Sometimes the paint is a little thick or other minor issues, but overall I'm happy. Read Less

I went in on New Year's Eve to get acrylics with my cousin and sister. They were nice when they greeted us and me and my nail technician were making conversation. Little did I know they were talking bad about us, how my sister and I were Chinese and only spoke English, and making fun of us and other customers. They didn't expect my cousin to be Vietnamese and understand every word they were saying. I understand you all know Vietnamese and it's easy for you to communicate with each other, but to talk trash about the people giving you business is rude. They only reason they stopped was my cousin told them she's Vietnamese and understands every word. The only reason I'm giving them 2/5 is because my acrylics are decently done.I honestly won't come here ever again. I don't care how good or bad you are, I hate when people are that disrespectful towards those giving them business. Unless you are a "regular" they are not too friendly and act like you are an inconvenience. The skinny girl with glasses who did my nails was rude and did not do a good job on my manicure. I will never go back to this salon, especially with so many better places in the area. Read Less

Just moved back to OR from San Diego and needed to find a new nail salon. I had a gel manicure before I left so I wanted to get a new manicure and color change. I went it asked the price then was asked to sit down.. everything was fine until I told her the colors I wanted.. the woman was telling me the color was nice but that there other ones were better... the colors she was suggesting were nothing what I was asking for  Holiday red and green.. I got so frustrated I changed my color to a nude beige instead. She tried to later explain that one of the colors was special and used some sort of magnet. Which I didn't understand but still I didn't want to make a fuss and chose too stay with the nude color. She put on my foils walked away the started on the hand she just finished the foils on.. I said to her so my nails need to soak a bit.. she ignored me and started to file them instead and keep forcing them to chip off.. honestly I kept thinking.. can I stop this manicure now.... once the old gel was off things were so rushed.. the cleaning part of my nails, the filing even the gel part. I kept pulling cotton hairs off my nails before they were cured and she was tugging my arms back and forth. At one point we bumped each other and had go check the nail polish.. Added a pic to show divit in thumb where she rushed and misses polish I wanted out of there so bad.. the only reason this is not a 1 star review is because my nails look ok.... the experience was just bad... won't be going back.Prices were ok. I used to love one girl who would do an amazing shellac, but every time I've been in for a pedi, it's been the most unrelaxed, rushed, rough pedicure. And they seem to be really impatient and rude. I'm done "giving them another chance." Read Less

Last Sunday, I dropped in for a manicure on a whim and was warmly welcomed by a technician and invited to take a seat and choose a color. The lady who did my nails was kind and shaped my nails exactly as I asked. She even asked me if it was what I wanted before moving on to my other hand. Each coat was evenly painted on, and she wasn't rushed. I'm a week into heavy use of these nails and see no cracks or chips. The hand massage was lackluster, but I really just wanted to get some color on my nails, so I wouldn't say I was disappointed. The establishment was clean, and atmosphere was relaxing. There was some classical music playing in the background and I noticed a wine cooler...and might have to ask about it next time! Read Less

Nice and classy environment. But.... they tend to not care too much about customers when it comes to their own convenience. I went in one day about 1 hour 1/2  before closing time to get a mani pedi. They did not let my pedi completely dry because they were closing up early. By the time i got home it was a complete disaster. Waste of money. Some ladies there do a good job but not all. We came here on Sunday to get Pedicures. We were greeted the moment we walked in and they showed us all the colors and asked us to pick one out. With in 2-3 minutes they had a seat ready for us with a tube of warm water. The lady who helped me was very nice and she did a wonderful job. We were super relaxed and our feet look great. I came in to Vivid on a whim and had a classic pedi (no polish, my preference). The salon is VERY nice and clean. Modern decor and interior design that is above the bar for most nail salons. Van was my nail artist and she did a great job! Very good foot massage and thorough nail tech skills. A plus, she was very pleasant to talk to but also let me zone out and enjoy the massage chair. I'd like to start by saying they USED to have great service and awesome people.  But there has been so much turnover in the salon that you never get to establish a rapport with a tech. And for the amount they charge, the quality is below average.  Two reasons I will never go back: 1) I got FUNGUS on one of my nails. The tech just ignored it and so I thought it was a bruise on my nail until I went to a different salon and they identified and fixed it immediately. 2) They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!  I called, made an appointment and showed up on time only to find that they had double booked. I do this because I have limited time on my lunch hour so I want to be sure I don't have to wait. Instead of admitting they made an error - the lady told me that because I had a broken nail (one), it would take too long to do my nails in 45 minutes... it was my fault?!!  One tech had started removing my nail polish. She stopped mid-way when the lady told me she couldn't get to me in 45 minutes. I walked out with polish half on/half off and haven't been back since. I had the worst experience here a few days ago.  The gal that did my nails was grumpy , rude and yelled that my nail kit was old. I have been getting pedicures once a month for years but, I wasn't near my regular place which is awesome.   I do not recommend ever and it was more expensive than my great place for a half an hour pedicure.  It should be 45 minutes or an hour. I highly recommend Kelsey, at the Sherwood Vivid Nails, if you ever need anything waxed or any kind of nails!!! The salon also offers many others services,  like pedicures, facials, etc. But, I've only had nails and brow waxes from her. I've been coming to Kelsey for over 2 years now, and she has never disappointed me. I'm very hard on my nails, I have oily cuticles, and I'm extremely picky. However, she has been able to keep them from breaking, chipping, and/or lifting. She listens when I tell her what I want, and has great suggestions for when I don't. She's really fast! She can do a great fill in 15 minutes! Which means, you can get a fill on a 30 minute lunch break. She takes appointments, as well as walk-ins. Definitely worth checking her out, even if you already have a nail person that you really like. Because hey, you never know when you may need a backup! ********Do Not Go Here For Waxing********I would give this place a 0 if I could.I went here to try this place out because it was close to my house. I went in and they saw me right away I checked in and a woman showed me back to a room where they do the waxing. As soon as she opened the door two other girls on their cells phone were in there chatting and they took a minute to leave. It was a little rude but I overlooked it. It was not that big of a deal. When I laid down to get my eyebrows waxed I told to the woman specifically I do not want them thin and I do not want then any smaller just cleaned up. Any person who gets their eyebrows waxed knows what this means. There was nothing special about the waxing pretty generic.They are clean but the waxing room I did see hair on the floor that I chose to overlook as well. When she was done with my eyebrows I looked at the mirror and I was shocked. I was so embarrassed about my new look I  paid and left. As soon as I got to the privacy of my car I took a second look. I was mortified.The woman had taken my eyebrows way off. I do not even look like myself. They are thin and horrifying. I have thick and beautiful eyebrows but this woman butchered them. I now have to go through the embarrassing and agonizing process of growing them out. I am so enraged my next step is probably to call and talk with management. This place is not professional. They do not seen to care about the customer or what the customer wants. Please do not let these before near you with wax. I do not think they know what they are doing and they sure do not listen to directions. I guess the woman just decided to do my eyebrow how she wanted them. They have only been open for 3 weeks now, but they are very close to my house so I thought I would give them a shot. It is very clean, as it is brand new.
