I had an appointment . I was in there today. Around 3:30pm, moderately busy and I was just there to get a pedicure. As I walked in through the doors, I quickly got told to sit and wait. No big deal, mom and I picked a color. Peticure was okay. I wasn’t asked what type of peticure I wanted but also not big deal, it was short but okay not memorable but not terrible. Mid way I asked if they had time and space for a mani cure, the lady said yes. So I decided to go for it. The manicure was done at like 4:30 i waited until 5 to leave but still careful with the manicure. I placed them in the fan but unfortunately two got ruined, so my fiancé took me back to get them fixed. I wasn’t mad, I didn’t want anything for free or my money back, all I wanted was to get them fixed.
I walked in trying to talk to the lady that did my nails and wanted to explain that I waited and was being careful but two got ruined if she could fix them. Before the lady could answer The girl next to her responded sarcastically you should have waited longer and as I tried to explain that I knew that and that I did wait, the girl started to become more rude and loud at me.
All I was trying to do was explain and be kind to them. she made me cry because of how rude and demeaning she was being when I wasn’t being rude, I wasn’t asking them to do it for free and I wasn’t mad at anyone. When I talked to the lady about how rude the girl was being all she did was laugh at me.
Same place.. bad idea
I had to get the nails fixed so I did. I got them done at 6pm and left at 7pm (got kicked out at 7). Now being 9:30 the nails that did not mess up and have been done since 4:30pm are still wet and at least 3 have wrinkled. AND with the fan they placed me under the rest of the nails have a bunch of small air bubbles.
I wish the other staff, such as the lovely man that helped my mom could be at another establishment, he was amazing.
I cannot say the same for the two other people that helped me.
I do not recommend. Complete waste of my money and time.

would not come back here.. paid almost $60 for a FILL and my shellac is already peeling and it hasn’t even been 2 weeks yet. called to ask if they would be willing to fix it but they seems uncooperative. also in response to that comment i would definitely never come back. it was still $45 without the nail art which is pretty over priced when u could get one for $20. the lady that did my nails was sweet but whoever has communicated with me from this point forward has been nothing but rude. might wanna work on your customer service!!

Had an appointment at 5:45. Arrived on time, waited a little while, picked out nail color and sat down in the pedicure chair at about 5:50. Maybe even a little later than that. Wasn’t ever asked what type of pedicure we wanted. There was no scrub, hot wax, etc. and the effort was minimal. The pedicure was done at 6:09, to our surprise. When asked about it, we were told we had to have an appointment for a longer one (had an appointment) and were told that it was a half hour (not a half hour). Wish we still had our $60 and stayed home.
* I’m not complaining about the appointment not starting right at 5:45. I’m just pointing out that it only lasted maybe 19 minutes at best and was lacking any effort.
Go to Serenity Salon on Commercial - top notch and great staff!

I went to Star Nails for my first time on Saturday and my experience was amazing! I have tried a few different nail salons in Salem and haven't had great experiences but I loved everything here! They listened to what I wanted, were on time and very kind. The lady who did my full acrylic set (I can't remember her name) paid the most attention I've ever had to the sizing of the nails and quality of the acrylic set being straight and same sized. She also did amazing with the shellac polish leaving none on my cuticle at all. She really did an amazing job! I am an extremely happy customer and will be coming back again!

Seriously the worst pedicure of my life. From the start to finish it took 18 minutes (that's including the 5 minutes I waited with my feet soaking). If there was a no star option, I'd choose it but unfortunately I had to give them one. I feel like I'm not very picky either when it comes to a pedicure but damn, at least act like you want some business. My feet look/feel terrible and it was only hours ago I got this. I just think $30 for an 18 minute pedicure it terrible and they should be ashamed.

Jennifer was very sweet and helpful and listened to all of my requests. In addition my nails look perfect, they have never looked this good... and lastly they have a huge variety of colors!

I have been here before and that is why I came back. NEVER AGAIN! Worst pedicure ever! It only took the young man who did it 15 minutes to do it. He must have had somewhere more important to be because he had his jacket on and was out the door before I had my flip flops on. That was only two hours after they opened. COLD water soak, no leg scrub, five minute total leg massage with very little lotion which left me with a blister on my little toe, cut on cuticle same toe which required band aids all day because of bleeding (I have photo), pretty sure no sanitizing of soak sink done (he left too quickly), massage chair didn't work-he told me it was too old, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TIPPED OR PAID. Sorry I left without discussing experience with owner.

So today i went in to get my nails done like i always do every two weeks by lily!!! I have been stuggling to keep my nails because im a pregnant woman with not much money my other half offered to pay...
So today i went in to get my nails done like i always do every two weeks by lily!!! I have been stuggling to keep my nails because im a pregnant woman with not much money my other half offered to pay but me being a independent woman couldnt let him!!!! Well there was a woman sitting next to me while i was asking lily what we could do that didnt cost as much as my usual! This woman got up and left about 10 min in my session. Well in the middle of my nails getting done lily told me she was going to tell me something at the end of my session i said ok looking at her strange. Then about done with my nails lily told me that someone paid for my nails. I couldnt believe it i am so thankful this was truely a blessing and i am so greatful! Im pretty sure it was the woman sitting next to me! I hope that this woman is blessed the rest of the year and knows what a blessing she is to this world!!! I cant say it enough thank you!!!!

Wish I could give a negative. I went for a manicure yesterday. Just a manicure $15 with a french tip nail paint ($5 extra) and a $5 tip. I thought the guy did an ok job. But the first time I put my hands in water the paint started chipping. No BASE coat, no TOP coat. Didn't even last a day. $25 spent and I need to paint my own nails a day later. Very disappointed and feel ripped off!

Star Nails...where do I start. I've been a customer now maybe 15 yrs. During my early years a remember I went through a period I dreaded driving across town for an appt. After trying maybe 1/2 dozen other salons I couldn't get back fast enough!
Star Nails continue to maintain a level of professionalism above so many others.
Friendly, caring staff have nail techniques ahead of so many salons.
Star Nails is on trend and offers a selection of services, while maintaining a modern clean salon.
Family friendly too. With that in mind we must remember that there are patrons there also
for services. There is no daycare.

I asked for a simple gel polish, but was charged about $30 for what I believe was a gel polish with manicure . I did not receive a "manicure".I asked about the high price and they said that was "what they charged". I just paid and left .I won't be going back due to the wait I had to endure (I had a scheduled appointment ) and the high cost. Manicure didn't last either.

A well priced nail salon in Salem! I've been coming here for about a year, having pedicures, acrylic nails, and most recently a full set of solar nails. Every time I come I love the finished look! Unlike other salons that I've tried...ive never been cut by their machines when they arent paying attention, they talk to you (yes in English), they also didnt talk about me to eachother. I am very picky with my nails and my technician always does exactly what I want. Yoyo did my most recent set of solar nails price was $45...not too high. Ill be coming back and requesting her!

I don't get pedicures often so when I do I want the experience to be a treat! I called for an appointment late in the day on a busy and hot Saturday. I was pleased they could get me within an hour....
I don't get pedicures often so when I do I want the experience to be a treat! I called for an appointment late in the day on a busy and hot Saturday. I was pleased they could get me within an hour. I arrived the same time two other ladies did and we were all seated in the massage chairs. I noticed that my nail tech seemed to be rushing through every process of the pedicure. My feet had their soak, polish was removed, nails clipped and filed, cuticles pushed down, and calluses scrubbed in a flash. She was a little rough in filing my nails, as it was a bit uncomfortable. During the very quick leg/foot massage, I looked over at the two other ladies and they were still having their nails meticously worked on. All in all my experience only lasted about 25 minutes (and that's after letting my toes dry for 5 minutes). 25 minutes - $25. I just felt the nail tech really did not want to be there. On the other hand the two other ladies pedicures probably lasted about 15 minutes longer and they seemed to have a very pleasant experience. I will keep looking for a nail salon where I feel relaxed and pampered with a nice long pedicure experience.

I normally go to a different nail salon, but recently moved and this one is closer to my house so I figured I'd try it out. The guy that did my nails was really nice and made it a point to have conversation while he worked, which was nice. Their establishment is clean and spacious, but their nails are crap. I got a full set of acrylics put back on and within just a few days they looked like they needed filled already. They lift super easy, the polish cracked and chipped and two have already fallen off- I was only in there a week ago! Not worth the money.

But please, don't wait to acknowledge me 20 minutes after my appointment should have been to tell me 'we're running late'. Yes. I see that. Thanks This hasn't been the case the last few times I've been here and I've been over the moon grateful for that, because so many nail salons don't respect their customers schedules. They do a wonderful job with my nails, and I've been extremely happy for that! So, hopefully this is just an off experience.....and not the new normal

I went and got a pedicure and shellac manicure. I asked for a design on my toes and she looked confused. She did one and it wasn't bad but then did the topcoat too soon and smudged it. She noticed but didn't bother to fix it. I asked for it to be fixed and she put another topcoat on and said it was fixed. My shellac manicure turned out beautiful but while the tech was doing my cuticles she stopped and used them on herself and then went back to my nails! Disgusting! I will never be returning here. It was expensive, especially for what I got. Also the girls didn't talk to me at all.

Nail tech looked like she may have been 17 and would much rather be somewhere else. Little to no massage. Terrible job painting for nails. Complete waste of my money and time. I won't be going back

I will never go anywhere else again. I swear other places never listen to the nail shape or length that I want and it always looks a little amateur. BUT THIS PLACE is great. Jennifer was very sweet and helpful and listened to all of my requests. In addition my nails look perfect, they have never looked this good... and lastly they have a huge variety of colors!

I have been here before and that is why I came back. NEVER AGAIN! Worst pedicure ever! It only took the young man who did it 15 minutes to do it. He must have had somewhere more important to be because he had his jacket on and was out the door before I had my flip flops on. That was only two hours after they opened. COLD water soak, no leg scrub, five minute total leg massage with very little lotion which left me with a blister on my little toe, cut on cuticle same toe which required band aids all day because of bleeding (I have photo), pretty sure no sanitizing of soak sink done (he left too quickly), massage chair didn't work-he told me it was too old, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TIPPED OR PAID. Sorry I left without discussing experience with owner.

So today i went in to get my nails done like i always do every two weeks by lily!!! I have been stuggling to keep my nails because im a pregnant woman with not much money my other half offered to pay...
So today i went in to get my nails done like i always do every two weeks by lily!!! I have been stuggling to keep my nails because im a pregnant woman with not much money my other half offered to pay but me being a independent woman couldnt let him!!!! Well there was a woman sitting next to me while i was asking lily what we could do that didnt cost as much as my usual! This woman got up and left about 10 min in my session. Well in the middle of my nails getting done lily told me she was going to tell me something at the end of my session i said ok looking at her strange. Then about done with my nails lily told me that someone paid for my nails. I couldnt believe it i am so thankful this was truely a blessing and i am so greatful! Im pretty sure it was the woman sitting next to me! I hope that this woman is blessed the rest of the year and knows what a blessing she is to this world!!! I cant say it enough thank you!!!!

Wish I could give a negative. I went for a manicure yesterday. Just a manicure $15 with a french tip nail paint ($5 extra) and a $5 tip. I thought the guy did an ok job. But the first time I put my hands in water the paint started chipping. No BASE coat, no TOP coat. Didn't even last a day. $25 spent and I need to paint my own nails a day later. Very disappointed and feel ripped off!

Star Nails...where do I start. I've been a customer now maybe 15 yrs. During my early years a remember I went through a period I dreaded driving across town for an appt. After trying maybe 1/2 dozen other salons I couldn't get back fast enough!
Star Nails continue to maintain a level of professionalism above so many others.
Friendly, caring staff have nail techniques ahead of so many salons.
Star Nails is on trend and offers a selection of services, while maintaining a modern clean salon.
Family friendly too. With that in mind we must remember that there are patrons there also
for services. There is no daycare.

Made an appointment and sat for half an hour until they sat me. It was not overly busy as I was the only one in waiting area. I asked for a simple gel polish, but was charged about $30 for what I believe was a gel polish with manicure . I did not receive a "manicure".I asked about the high price and they said that was "what they charged". I just paid and left .I won't be going back due to the wait I had to endure (I had a scheduled appointment ) and the high cost. Manicure didn't last either.

A well priced nail salon in Salem! I've been coming here for about a year, having pedicures, acrylic nails, and most recently a full set of solar nails. Every time I come I love the finished look! Unlike other salons that I've tried...ive never been cut by their machines when they arent paying attention, they talk to you (yes in English), they also didnt talk about me to eachother. I am very picky with my nails and my technician always does exactly what I want. Yoyo did my most recent set of solar nails price was $45...not too high. Ill be coming back and requesting her!

I don't get pedicures often so when I do I want the experience to be a treat! I called for an appointment late in the day on a busy and hot Saturday. I was pleased they could get me within an hour....
I don't get pedicures often so when I do I want the experience to be a treat! I called for an appointment late in the day on a busy and hot Saturday. I was pleased they could get me within an hour. I arrived the same time two other ladies did and we were all seated in the massage chairs. I noticed that my nail tech seemed to be rushing through every process of the pedicure. My feet had their soak, polish was removed, nails clipped and filed, cuticles pushed down, and calluses scrubbed in a flash. She was a little rough in filing my nails, as it was a bit uncomfortable. During the very quick leg/foot massage, I looked over at the two other ladies and they were still having their nails meticously worked on. All in all my experience only lasted about 25 minutes (and that's after letting my toes dry for 5 minutes). 25 minutes - $25. I just felt the nail tech really did not want to be there. On the other hand the two other ladies pedicures probably lasted about 15 minutes longer and they seemed to have a very pleasant experience. I will keep looking for a nail salon where I feel relaxed and pampered with a nice long pedicure experience.

Complete disaster!! Waste of time and money..They give u more pain and discomfort while waxing . Basics are missing .. A big NO for the salon!! Never again

I normally go to a different nail salon, but recently moved and this one is closer to my house so I figured I'd try it out. The guy that did my nails was really nice and made it a point to have conversation while he worked, which was nice. Their establishment is clean and spacious, but their nails are crap. I got a full set of acrylics put back on and within just a few days they looked like they needed filled already. They lift super easy, the polish cracked and chipped and two have already fallen off- I was only in there a week ago! Not worth the money.

Thing I can't stand? Making me wait 20 minutes for my appointment because you're running behind. I get it, I completely understand schedules can get hairy and things can get a little behind. But please, don't wait to acknowledge me 20 minutes after my appointment should have been to tell me 'we're running late'. Yes. I see that. Thanks This hasn't been the case the last few times I've been here and I've been over the moon grateful for that, because so many nail salons don't respect their customers schedules. They do a wonderful job with my nails, and I've been extremely happy for that! So, hopefully this is just an off experience.....and not the new normal

She noticed but didn't bother to fix it. I asked for it to be fixed and she put another topcoat on and said it was fixed. My shellac manicure turned out beautiful but while the tech was doing my cuticles she stopped and used them on herself and then went back to my nails! Disgusting! I will never be returning here. It was expensive, especially for what I got. Also the girls didn't talk to me at all.

Terrible pedicure. Not worth the money. Waited half an hour because the man who seemed to be in charge said it would be worth it. It was not. Nail tech looked like she may have been 17 and would much rather be somewhere else. Little to no massage. Terrible job painting for nails. Complete waste of my money and time. I won't be going back

Star nails had wonderful prices and gave me beautiful nails! The workers there are really friendly too!
