I had been having a hard time with finding a salon that did my nails exactly the way that I wanted, and then I found Happy Nails. The first couple of visits for my fill and gel polish change went well and I was so happy that I had finally found a good salon! But I began noticing small errors being done as my time there went on. I pointed a couple out one time to Vincent. and my nails were just looked at, then I was handed my receipt and told to have a nice day. Okay...I continued to go back and notice small errors each time. I thought to myself, maybe I am just being too picky? Once a piece of black fuzz had been polished down with the clear coat on my nail. I began having problems with the polish chipping, a lot. One of my friends who goes to a different salon had told me that her nail place puts on some kind of a clear base coat on the acrylic, then the 2 coats of gel polish and then another clear coat. She had asked them why they did it that way and they said it helps to prevent chipping. When I asked Kelly if she could try that with me because my polish was chipping so often she told me that was only for natural nails and wouldn't do it. I made the decision to find a new salon, yet again, after my last apt. I arrived after a lady that was having the same thing as me done, a fill and polish change with Kelly. I sat down with Vincent and I left before her. The apt took a little over 30 minutes. The polish had not been applied evenly, and I even had some nails that the polish didn't even cover all the way. I didn't bother saying anything, since I felt like the last time I had pointed out a mistake it was ignored. After 3 days, it was chipping and I had some of the acrylic break off. I had had a new set put on 2 weeks before. They are very friendly people, their establishment is clean and overall they do a nice job for the price, I guess I am just particular in the sense that I want them perfect (or close to it) no matter what I am paying for them. Ive been coming to this place for over a year. Never once cancelled an appointment or have i even been late before. But the ONE time i call early in the day to say im going to be running late for my evening appointment Im told "can't help you, reschedule" and not in a nice respectful understanding way, RUDE. I have never felt like the wife likes me, she is always short with me. She was happy to tell me NO. What sucks is Vincent (husband) is a cool guy and good. But not dealing with that kind of customer service. So off to find a new place i guess, taking my hard earned money elsewhere. Read Less

What’s the point of having an appointment if you don’t honor the time? Or a reasonable window of appointment time!! My daughters were disappointed with their manicures. They weren’t asked if they preferred a shaping or cutting of their nails for their manicure. The person doing the service “man handled” the entire service, from removing the nail polish to correcting the polish application. It hurt! How is that soothing & relaxing? We decided to leave after their manicures an...d not get the pedicures for the 3 of us. We had already been in the salon for 1hour and 15 minutes; needing still to wait to get the pedicures. The manicures cost more than our usual place ( on St. Albans Circle) & my girls enjoy the service better there and they are able to accommodate the 3 of us without an appointment. Kelly was amazing. I called at 5:10 and she still made an appointment for me to for fill even though they closed at six. I was actually running a little late and she was still so pleasant and nice about it. She took the extra time to make sure my nails were thin in the shape I wanted. This place is a nightmare! The way it looks in the inside you would think all services would be TOP of the line.... WRONG! I made an appointment for eyelashes, appointment didn’t start on time. I came in with previous lashes that needed to be removed because they started lifting. The lady put a glue remover chemical on them which ended up burning my right eye. My appointment was at 5:15 I left at 6:30 that sums up how much time I spent there. When I left I really could not se...e. By the time I was home I could see that the eyelashes were terrible they were starting to fall off. By Saturday morning they were a complete nightmare so I went back Saturday morning to have them done over. Even WORSE the second time around. I ended up going back for third time to get a refund! I don’t even know how they are even offering this service when CLEARLY the lady has no clue what so ever as to what she’s doing. Done correctly they last 4 weeks not 4 minutes. Went in to see what they were all about. Nice, clean salon. Very professional and very friendly service. I got a manicure and pedicure for $42 and in addition I tipped as well. If you're looking for your lunch hour or in a jiffy mani/pedi then this is the place to go. They get you in and get you out. Stopped in with my 10 yr old because it looked really nice, service was good, nice atmosphere, affordable also. My daughter loved the real orange massage on her legs and the complimentary soda They gave me a 10% discount since they've newly opened. I noticed afterwards that they do have a price list for kids under 12...... they didn't show/tell me and another customer had a discount card, I guess for coming repeatedly, she gets it stamped for "rewards". I decided to take a venture out to get my nails done here after seeing co-workers nails and I will say I am very impressed. I loved the design that I have and the attention to detail for my nails. Eh.. I really wanted to like this place since it just opened across the street from my house. They were really nice agreeing to fix my one broken nail with dip powder without additional fees. It was shaped really weird but i needed to salvage the nail until my friend's wedding so I didn't really care that much about the one nail. I got a gel manicure, and I just can't help but notice the non-uniform thickness of the polish. One of my nails is so thick on the one side and thin on the other. Some parts it's almost sheer but in some parts the polish is super thick. There are numerous air bubbles, small and large that I noticed after I got home on pretty much every nail. I just didn't think that it was worth the $35. Thanks anyway. Read Less

I got my nails done here today and am very pleased.  It was easy to get an appointment, and the husband and wife owner-operator team was pleasant and friendly.  The lady did my nails and was gentle with my damaged nail beds, never once did I feel heat or scraping from the drill or file. My new acrylics are just right, not too thick, not too thin, not on the cuticle, not showing bare nail.  The polish selection is good, and she applied cherry red gel polish cleanly, leaving no traces on my skin.  The only thing I could possibly complain about is the very small parking lot, but I came in a pickup.  A smaller car could navigate it much more easily. Mani and pedi for $35!? It's true. There was two people working and they were amazing nail techs, made a friendly environment, and my tech fixed my one broken nail free of charge!
