I've only had a manicure one other time (another popular nail salon in PDX I won't name) so it's not something I usually treat myself to. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding so wanted something that would look great and be durable. I had a gel manicure w/ Pamela (I didn't know who my appt would be with btw). She was so friendly! She made me feel really comfortable. She would chat with me, and then she would let me zone out and people watch which I really appreciated. She made me feel relaxed before a really hectic trip. The studio itself is really nice. Really bright and windows! Everyone there was nice and friendly and they have a lot of nice color options. They offered tea or water which was delightful. I booked another appt with her which is really rare for me to do (especially for a service I don't ever get) but I just loved how my nails turned out and how they have lasted that I feel like it is really worth it to be a regular client of Pamela's. This place is a cute and cozy nail/brow salon. What I like most about it is that it's small, so you won't have big groups of women overtaking the place when you are trying to relax. Also, you can understand all the staff, so you won't ever feel uncomfortable thinking they might be talking about you lol...seriously though, if you just want some relaxing girl time, you should check them out.  Now, I only go here for my brows, and Joni is your girl! I've been going to her for several years and will not let anyone else touch my eyebrows. When I started seeing Joni I grew out my eyebrows and she took it from there. Indulgent experience. The design of the space is calm, crisp, and sophisticated. Feels more like you're in a friend's living room meets spa rather than a nail factory. It's cozy with only a few people in there at a time. Pedis are in comfy chairs with a copper tub. If you're looking for a massage chair, you won't find one here. You can book appointments online. Pamela pays great attention to detail, knows the appropriate grain of files, gently removes cuticles, follows the right technique for different gel brands, and takes time to do it well. It's like the slow food of nails with thoughtful intention, better quality, and more appreciation for the craft. My gel mani didn't crack or peel, even after three weeks, at which point I had to remove it since my nails had grown so much. It's pricy for regular treatments, but the quality is far superior to most of the nail salons that fly through customers, smell like chemicals, and are harsh on nail beds and cuticles. Read Less
