Probably the best pedicure I've ever had! Such friendly staff, and they don't rush you in and out, they take their time and give you their full attention! I had Nim, who was amazing! Seriously the worst pedicure experience I've had.My friend and I made a same-day appointments for pedicures at Rex, which they accommodated with no problem. However, when we arrived at 6:00, they proceeded with doing one of us at a time, my friend first. My water was lukewarm from the start and when the gentleman started my pedicure - only 30 minutes later - it was less than lukewarm. I have never been to a nail salon where a pedicure only took 30 minutes. I had shellac on my toes, which he peeled off without pre-soaking with acetone! When I asked him about it, he said it was okay since my nails had been soaking in water for so long. I was having a shellac pedicure - which only took 30 min as well. He basically only cut my nails and pushed the cuticles back a bit - no trimming, shaping, etc. In addition, the polish application was poor. I am used to having polish put across the top of my nail. When he didn't do that, I pointed it out and he basically said it was too late to do anything about it. While I had my toes done, my friend decided to have her fingernails done - and they were done terribly. I'm not sure if this is the way this place always rolls or if they were in a hurry to get home, but I certainly won't be returning. Nim and the team (I see Linh), at Rex do such a great job- I've been going here for a bit over a year and they've really improved on the consistency of service, nice new massage chairs, and always offer a hot or cold beverage.  The big screen TV can even play a movie to watch while you get your mani/pedi.  They also do a nice job at waxing!  Check it out at South Waterfront! Beautiful salon. Easy walk from the tram as a way to unwind after dr appointments or when visiting friends and family. The staff was attentive, professional and the entire experience was relaxing. I actually fell asleep in the chair- so Lynn brought the mani to me while I relaxed after the pedi. Highly recommend! Read Less

Best place is south waterfront. Complimentary beverages including wine. They have a ton of shellac colors and they always do a good job. I am also very picky with my nails and they are patient with me.Their pedicures are good too. There are regular and deluxe options. They do waxing and eyelash extensions too. Never done either but it's a good option nearby. They can be a bit pricy but you get what you paid for. Read Less

Loved the atmosphere and location. My friends technician was friendly and made sure she asked questions so she could get what she wanted. Showed a picture to my technician and said acrylic only. Wanted pink acrylic with just nail polish. But instead got acrylic with gel and uneven coats. Look pretty from far away but not the shape or color I asked for and when looking up close is very messy. I can't say enough about this place!   I wanted to treat a friend to a fancy pedi - the kind with hot stones & drinks etc.  I read a zillion reviews with no luck, until my hair dresser mentioned Rex.  BAM!  It was just what I was searching for.  Every expectation I had was met, and then exceeded. As for my mani;  while looking at the Yelp pics I fell in love the fun nail art.  I'm now obsessed!   Nim was fantastic & creative - and excited to help me put my own spin on a set he did for someone else.   It's also super clean with great massage chairs.  Fantastic experience overall!   Highly recommended. I am popping in for a quick review to say that Rex is great!! Everyone there always really sweet to me. The owner Nim did my pedicure and they have a great selection of nail and spa products. They do the massage chairs, the aromatherapy, thru have cold beverages...all the necessary items to spoil yourself with. They also wax (I had my brows done lickety-split) and the place is equally tranquil & glamorous at the same time. My paws are always pretty & immaculate when they're done with them. They get hoppin' after work & on the weekends; they take reservations but they also take walk-ins and manage to work them in quickly. Five gorgeous nails up! Read Less

I had my eyelashes done by Luan yesterday evening for the first time and it was by far the best experience I've had with lashes all together. His expertise and quality he puts into his work is impeccable. My lashes have never looked so full and actually very natural. I have always been able to see where my natural lashes end and where the extensions begin, after seeing Luan yesterday, you cannot even see where the extensions are glued to my lashes! I don't even know how he did it! They are so full, feather light, but also very securely placed. Cannot recommend his talent and customer service enough. If you want a "high-end" lash experience, schedule your next visit with Luan @ Rex....even if you've been going somewhere else, he will fix what you don't like about your current lashes. Read Less
