Wonderful experience with Vivian! The location and spa is very ambient and aesthetically pleasing. I had full acrylics with holographic tips and am super happy with how they turned out. I searched many salons, as I'm super picky, and am glad I found Lush. The customer service is perfect as well. As for the 1 star review before me, I was there are can contest that the customer actually scheduled for the previous day and was then mad that she wasn't scheduled for the right day. It happens, but you shouldn't give a salon one star for your mistake as there was nothing they could do to prevent it. I'll definitely recommend my friends here! Read Less

I love this spot. It's my absolute go to for my acrylics. Vivian does an awesome job every single time and is always patient when I look through the colors for the first 15 minutes of our bi-weekly appointments (tons of options!)The space is always clean, never smells of chemicals. Vivian did a fantastic job on my nails. We had a little hiccup in the beginning but she was helpful! They really care at this salon. I wanted to find a nail salon local to my work and I am so happy! I was lucky enough to get in with Vivian today for an acrylic full-set with gel on top. I asked for thin, narrow, short and natural-looking. I am PICKY! She did exactly what I wanted, my cuticles are clean, she was gentle and super sweet! The salon itself is clean and calm. They have updated equipment and many gel colors to choose from. I even enjoyed a delicious mimosa. Needless to say, I'll be back! Read Less

I made an appointment for the lavender mani pedis. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and directed to the ready to go foot baths. We were asked if we would like something to drink. They have wine, coffee, tea, fruit juice and soda. The ladies are super friendly and when they speak in their native tongue we could tell they kept their conversations professional. I've been to other shops where they were clearly making fun of customers. The pedicure included a 20 minute massage with hot stones, a wonderful fragrant lavender scrub and wax. The manicures also included a massage which was very relaxing. The only con was trying to find a parking spot nearby on a Saturday afternoon in NW Portland. I will definitely go back, but i will schedule my appointment during the week when it's not so difficult to find a parking spot. Read Less

I had a great experience at Lush Beauty Nails & Spa. I had the shellac manicure & pedicure.The nail artist I had was incredibly careful with each nail, checking and double checking that it was good enough before moving along. I went around lunch on a weekday, so I pretty much had the place to myself, which was relaxing. I found that the woman who did my nails wasn't really interested in making small talk, which I also really liked. I just like to zone out and she helped me do that. They offered me drinks when I sat down for my pedicure, and again when I moved over to have my manicure done. I declined since it was pretty early in the day for drinking, but imagine that would have added to the experience for sure!I would definitely come here again.(Disclaimer: The massage chair I had only worked for some of the settings on the controller. This didn't bother me much at all, but could be a bigger deal to others, so just be aware that their massage chairs are a bit busted and old.) Read Less

I came here with a friend for their Classic Manicure/Classic Pedicure combo ($38). I was able to set an appointment with only one days' notice. We walked in about 5min early and they took us immediately and thanked us for making an appointment. The space is very clean both literally and from a design perspective and is very cute. Their polish selection was good. The pedicures came first and I enjoyed the massage and paraffin treatment that came with it. The Classic Manicure doesn't come with paraffin (which is okay by me) but can be added for $5. Overall the service was excellent and fairly efficient even while the salon got more packed. I also love the color selection they have and was very happy with the finished product. I do wish their website was a little more mobile phone friendly, but I was able to navigate okay with some work. It's just not very intuitive and is kind of clunky on my iPhone. Let me start by saying I'm super meticulous about my nails. With that said, trying a new nail salon is always a gamble. However, this place is great! I called and got a same day appointment for an acrylic fill. Tim did my nails and was awesome. He shaped my nails and made sure I liked how each hand was done. I asked for one to be adjusted and he was on it! They all looked great, weren't super thick and was set in record time. I picked a very glittery polish, which usually means it's super transparent and not really a "color." He was nice enough to ask if I wanted another coat, and made sure the glitter looked good. I had my gel mani and pedi, and waxing done with Vivian. She was excellent (especially as I have sensitive toe nails which she did a great job with), and I would highly recommend her. I love all the additional treatments the different package come with and the service provided by all of the staff members. If you have any problems or issues, they will take care of you.They need to retrain some of the younger ones, and someone needs to supervise them, so that mistakes doesn't happen. But when they do, the managers make it right for you. They need to make sure only one person answers the messages here on Yelp, so that there won't be any confusions and/or misunderstandings. Rosa made sure I was happy with my nails, after a previous bad experience at a different salon.They have a great selection of shellac, and she didn't up charge me for my accent nail I've never had a difficult time getting in last minute, usually I'll only have to wait at the most 10 minutes for a chair. My mother and I went into Lush Beauty Nails and Spa for the first time a month or so ago and I'm embarrassed that it took me so long to write a review; It was, hands down, the best pedicure experience ever! For me pedicures are all about the foot rub and these women actually studied reflexology or trigger points on the feet so they know all the right spots to create real healing in the body. Besides their incredible hands both women who worked on us were lovely human beings, both with a sense of humor and true warmth. I highly recommend this glorious place and these fantastic women! I took a chance on a small place yesterday and left half-way through due to awful service. I was crushed.Found Lush on Yelp right when I got home and called and made an appointment with Vivian first thing at opening today. I got there a little early, but they let me sit inside while they finished getting opened up for the day. Everyone was so sweet, the salon is clean and adorable. Will never go back. The pedicure was good, loved the chair. BUT... I put my coat on the chair, draped behind me. When I was put in the lean back position, my coat fell behind the chair, unbeknown to me, and the technician didn't notice either, nor did she tell me NOT to put my coat on the chair. When the attendant was finished with my pedi, I went to the bathroom. My friend brought me my coat, which was SOAKING WET. My pockets contained my cell phone, my cosmetics which were ruined and my keys were dripping wet. My phone wouldn't turn on-ruined. I showed the problem to the person the attendants referred to as boss, ""Hugh?"", who said to write down my phone number & we will talk later. He called me several days later to tell me I left my shoes there, I called back, and I started to discuss my phone being replaced, because the warranty does not cover water damage, and it is brand new. He became very rude, not even apologizing for what happened. He said the drain for all the tubs was located behind my particular chair, that that's where the water was, not from a build-up on the floor. He said it wasn't his fault my coat fell on the floor, but I said it was his fault for having a drain filled with excessive water to ruin my things. He didn't offer an apology, a discount on another service or ANYTHING, other than a terse denial of any wrongdoing. I couldn't believe it. Extremely poor customer service, to say the least. I am going to file a complaint with the Board of Cosmetology about the drain issue. Is that even legal to have an open drain for used foot spa water to drain into above the floor? Shouldn't it be underground? The whole idea is totally gross- the drain is behind the chair I was in, and it was backed up with totally unsanitary used foot spa water soaking my coat & my things were ruined, and the owner/manager or whoever ""Hugh"" is, obviously cares less. I walked in a half an hour before they closed and they were really nice about it, but that was the only good thing about my appointment. I got a french mani/pedi and it looks sooo messy and unprofessional, I could have done a much better job doing it at home by myself. I just can't believe that they are still in business if this is how they are doing manicures. My pedi is OK, not terrible but not great either but my manicure was so horrible I went back to a different nail place the next day, just to get it removed it was that bad. The girl could not understand that I wanted very thin tips, as natural looking as possible...Not only are they thick but also just messy looking, with chips and sports ALL over. I tried to get her to fix some of it but, she didn't seem to undertand there was anything even wrong with it. I know that it was late and they were almost closing so I didn't press for her to start over again because that is how bad my mani looked, but that still does not justify such a POOR job.
