I want to start off by saying that I wanted to muscle the review of my Sunday service into 3 stars, because the person who did my pedicure was fantastic from beginning to end, and I ordered the foot scrub pedicure, so she gave me a terrific foot and calf massage to boot!Unfortunately, by the end of last night, I can't do any better than a 2 star rating for this place. My manicure was trouble.First off, I get stressed if I have too much sensory input all at once, so the manicurist deciding to simultaneously give me my manicure while I was also getting my pedicure (and my hands were no longer free to change the massage chair), so the whole time I was just a bit on-edge. I would have enjoyed it better if they did one thing at a time. I had an appointment for both, and only ordered some fairly basic services. I'm not sure why they were rushing. They put a pillow in my lap to rest my hands while giving the manicure, and I'm not so wild about holding a used pillow. It didn't look dirty, but how often do they clean it, really? Now to the manicure itself. When they used the little metal bit to push the skin down off my nail, it hurt. That had never hurt me before, but I said nothing. Then, the manicurist (I am not exaggerating:) tugged the skin off my cuticle. Yes, she would grip skin bits and yank at them to pull them off my fingers. She even did it to the point where I reflexively said, "Ow!" after a tug. To their credit, they felt terrible when I said that and apologized. This was probably the most worried I have ever been about a nail service. But given that I have only done this a few times before, I said nothing. The next night after my mani-pedi, I regret saying nothing. Here's why:The night of my mani-pedi, I noticed that they had been so rough with my cuticles that the skin on my right thumb had separated from my nail. Fast forward to 24 hours after the mani-pedi, and that same cuticle is now red, puffy, irritated, throbbing in pain, and warm. And, of course, still separated from my nail. Yikes. I will not be returning. Read Less
