We were getting ready to sell our house and I spent hours trying to clean off moss and grime from the roof to prepare for the listing. I sprayed all kinds of stuff on there. Nothing worked. I called Nail It and had them treat the roof and repair a leaking skylight. The roof looked perfect and we had no leaks in the skylight. I am a Realtor and have had experience with many home repair contractors. During a home sale transaction time is of the essence for both estimates and work to be done. Nail-it has been very responsive on both.  I've had 2 recent jobs done by them and both were excellent quality and very prompt. One was caused by the ice storm and 2 skylights were leaking. Roberto and his crew were the 1st company to respond (I called 3). They came out for a bid and were able to replace them on the same day - just in time for an enormous rain storm expected tonight! They also replace a deteriorating vent pipe and did not charge any extra, Rodrigo said it just needed to be done. I would highly recommend them. Read Less

Showed up to give an estimate. Left truck running and car door open indicating he had little intention of spending any time. When I explained to him that for my bank I had to have the material lumped summed out on the bid from the labor, but that I totally understood that there was markup on both and that was fine. He responded rudely and dismissively and said with an attitude that he wouldn't even consider doing that and it was a waste of his time. He got in his truck and peeled out of the drive way. I was more than happy to pay what ever price, and even if he still didn't want to do it, he didn't need to be nasty and rude. I had just met him. Would never call him out for an estimate again. What a great crew to work with. I've been maintaining my roof for years, and have replaced every shake over time. I also subscribe to quality construction journals, and know what I want done on my roof. Nail It's crew did everything the professional journals recommend, and more. They did the metal flashings beautifully, vital to a successful installation. I paid extra for the extra sealer for ice protection and recommend that as I've had ice dams. They arrived at 7 am and completed the roof of my 1850 sf house by 5 pm. There were 11 crew, and communication with the foreman, Chris was excellent.I am recommending them to my daughter and friends. We called Nail It Roofing after my husband heard two radio DJs talking about how great the company was. I contacted them via email for an estimate. I received a prompt email, stating they would be out within a few days, which they were. My daughter was home when Rodrigo Quintanilla came to the house - he got up on the roof, talked with my daughter and left his card. While we may need a new roof in the near future, we were hoping for some repairs to a couple of problem areas. I expected to have an estimate within a few days. Nothing. I even sent an email to them about a week later asking about an estimate. Let me repeat that - I FOLLOWED UP WITH THEM. Crickets. Not a word. I'm sorry to read a less than favorable review for Nail-It Roofing because we've used them for 3 separate jobs and the work has been prompt and excellent and competitively priced.  The crew are a bunch of very concientious, courteous craftsmen and owner Rodrigo Quintanilla could not be better when it comes to customer service, in our experience.On every job Nail-It Roofing has done on our property, the work was completed per bid and the cleanup was extraordinarily good, with the crew making extra sure that no debris was left on our close neighbors' property.  Nail-It is the first company we call and we recommend them highly.  I'd like to add the comment that YELP is not the place to complain about other peoples' driving. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- YOU CANNOT TRUST THEM!!!    I called this company (Rodrigo?) two days before Christmas as high winds in the Portland area had blown several shingles off my roof the week before. Rodrigo said they would be there early the next day and I was grateful for the prompt service as I was a little worried about possible rain and leaking in. I was at work the day of and at noon when my son called I expected him to tell me they were done, but they hadn't arrived or even called yet". I called Rodrigo.. "we're not going to be able to do the work today", what- I could have gotten someone else if they'd have done the decent thing and at least let us know. After a few words and speaking with his crew he said they'd be there in two hours (2pm) and after they did arrived at 2:30pm, they promptly left "to get supplies",  AND NEVER CAME BACK OR CALLED!!! We never did hear back from them and used another company who were very kind and did a great job. The Nail-it firm cannot be trusted and you should be wary of the company as they could let you down as they did us- outrageous..I have to give a one star but of course they deserve none. Read Less

This is not a review of thier rooofing work, but of one employee. One of thier trucks dangerously cutoff me and another driver to make a left turn even though he was two cars back from the intersection, he forced oncoming traffic to slow, and caused me to be stuck in the intersection when the light turned red. He quite literally "cut corners" while driving...I wouldn't want that guy anywhere near my roof. Read Less
