It looks small on the outside, but inside is a well kept, and fully supported salon. Lan is super nice and offers water while she does your nails or hair. I always recommend scheduling an appointment. Magic nails is definitely in high demand and lan does a great job fitting customers into the schedule. I really love this salon. The owner, Lan, is the only woman who works here and she's been here almost 13 years! She's very kind and very busy! Can't imagine anyone saying anything too negative about her or her work. Every single time I've gotten my nails done with her they come out how I want them, if not even better than what I originally pictured. I'm really picky when it comes to my nails and she's the only nail tech that has ever met or exceeded my expectations. I don't go anywhere else anymore. It'd just be a waste of my time and money. The first several times I went there,I loved it. Despite reading that she had caused pain for another customer, as well as her occasional rude comment, the owner (who is the only employee) did wonderful work (so much so that I posted an extremely positive review on Yelp prior to this), but one thing that confused me is that when customers would call, she would tell one caller that she was booked up for the day and give the next caller three different times to choose from to come in. That isn't here nor there but watch out if you ask a question or make a comment about your nails while she is doing them! I noticed she had cut my nails shorter than normal, so I simply (and innocently) said "Next time, can we leave them longer?",  and that was it. Her demeanor turned, well, unkind to say the least. She said "Let me do my work. If you don't like my work than there are plenty of other places you can go." She continued on from there, despite my apologies for offending her and reassuring her that I LOVED her work (enough to refer two other people to her, who drove an hour to see her). The bottom line is that she ended up burning the tops of my fingers, leaving small cuts on the sides, and making a mess of both hands. My hands are so sore today that I can't put lotion on them. I have pictures that I can send to the people that license her, but don't know if that is carrying it too far. It felt like she was retaliating because I had somehow offended her, One thing is that she has lost three good customers as a result. So sad.  If I was sure this wouldn't happen again, I would go back to her because when she is good, she is GREAT, but I am afraid now. :-( Read Less

I currently live in San Francisco and come back to Molalla/Colton for vacation a few times a year. On my last visit, we decided to get a manicure for some bonding/relaxation time. Getting a manicure in Molalla sounded skeptical to me. I had lived there for 2 years and never even thought to give the nail salons a try. Not too sure why...We called Magic Nails to make an appointment, and she saw us later that day. We were going to get regular manicures but decided to get Gel manicures after we realized that she did those. She listened to exactly what we wanted and created an awesome and unique design for us.For me it was french manicure with glitter on the tips. It was literally the BEST gel manicure I have EVER gotten, and I get my nails done all the time in the big city down here! The manicure lasted so long, and stayed perfect. She was fantastic, attentive, super precise, and very friendly and talkative. If I lived in the area, I would go here regularly (and feel foolish for never giving this place a chance when i DID live here!). The icing on the cake was the price, super reasonable and much cheaper than other places.I highly recommend this salon for any of your nail needs (and especially the gel manicures). Make an appointment, since she is the only one that works there. You will not leave disappointed! Read Less
