This place has taken a turn for the worst under the new owner. What used to be my go to spot for the past three years has become rude, overpriced, sloppy, and dirty. I love Lily and the crew there. I've been going to this salon since I've moved to LO in 2012 and after I moved back to Murrayhill I still continue to go back. They are so good at what they do and it shows. I've always gotten my eye brows and lips waxed and sometimes my nails for special occasions. They are the real deal. Went to this salon for a regular pedicure with two friends this past weekend. Both got their nails done immediately and I waited in a nearby salon chair until another professional became available, at this point both friends were both getting their nails painted (so were nearly done with their general pedicure treatment). The professional who worked on me skipped scrubbing my feet with the hard sponge where she took a phone call from the salon instead and painted my nails a different color than what I picked out. I asked her about the hard sponge scrub (that tickles my feet) and she claimed she did it, but I was "too busy talking to notice", but I was still able to get my complete treatment done minutes after both my friends even though my treatment began over 20 minutes following theirs. They both enjoyed their pedicure and had a normal experience, however I was disappointed on how I was treated as a customer and the little time given to me compared to others in the salon. I plan to go back due to all the positive reviews, but had a very bad first experience and felt when I told two people at the salon they both didn't care to listen. Read Less

I have been getting my solar nails w/ shellac done by Nina for about 4 months now. She is absolutely amazing at what she does. My artificial nails never look artificial and she always knows how to give me the design I want.I had my first deluxe pedicure last night and it was AMAZING! They put a green tea mask on your legs, steamed towels, foot and leg rub, and of course the hot wax foot treatment. My feet have never been so happy! Lily is very focused on making sure each customer's experience is excellent!  I've been a loyal customer to L'Amour for over a year.  I like the extra touch of the paraffin wax and shoulder massage...even for the basic services.   Everyone is friendly and takes their time to give quality manis/pedis...no rushing ever.  My shellac manis last three weeks and pedis eight weeks.  I highly recommend!Melissa Read Less

I have been a loyal customer here for the past two years. When I first started coming here the service was excellent- the pedicures were great, the manicures were great and I never felt rushed. Yesterday I had a fill and a worker cut three of my fingers while sanding my nails!! There was a little blood (gross) but it was so painful- in fact it still is and stung today while washing my hands!! The owner took over and apologized but never offered me a discount, which is fine because I took it upon myself to leave a smaller than usual tip. This was my GO TO spot for shellac manicures and pedis for years but over the past 8-9 months they've hired new people and there really is no comparison anymore. The shellac mani is supposed to last at least 2 weeks and I've had several that haven't even made it a week. But the worst part is that there were definitely a few times that my nails haven't been evenly filed and when I pointed it out, I got attitude. The final straw was a french shellac where three of my nails were completely uneven and the paint was not even close to even on two nails- sorry if there's only a white stripe for people to see, they'll be able to see it.  Shame to have lost this place off my list as the owners are very gracious and accommodating but I just couldn't stand for a Russian roulette manicure. My experience here was substandard. I expected a quality classic manicure after reading previous reviews. A young girl did my nails today. The entire process took 10 minutes. A classic manicure was: cut, file, paint. She never took off my old nail polish or scraped the filed nail pieces out from under my nails. No lotion or hand massage. $15 plus tip. Read Less

I was tired of my primary nail salon's resistance to accept cards as payment so I decided to give Lamour a shot. I got a shellac manicure and they definitely get points for a huge variety of colors to choose from. The manicure itself was fine, but I personally wasn't a fan of the half-hearted "massage" back rub. I felt like a drunk college girl being consoled by my equally drunk friend while I threw up. It was super awkward and I probably would've paid more to make it stop.While my nails looked fine immediately after, they've since split on the ends of 4 nails! I've gotten a million  shellac manicures and never had this issue. I'm not sure what caused this but I'm holding it against Lamour. In less than a week since the manicure, they're completely chipped. What's the point of spending the extra cash for gel when it doesn't last like it is supposed to?I'll be headed back to my regular salon after all. Read Less

I got The Classic Pedicure and it was a wonderful experience. I especially enjoyed the paraffin wax treatment and leg/foot massage. Each time I visit, I have been given great pedicures. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The only negative is they do try to push additional services on you. However if you're clear about what you want they stop being pushy. L'Amour Spa is the best in Lake Oswego! Their staff is friendly, if they don't understand something you say, they'll get another staff member to answer your question. Communication is important to them! Of all the services they have, I really enjoy their Deluxe Pedicure, it has a 20 minute massage and a mask they put on your legs! Stooped in for first time. Asked for shellac French with a nail design. Was directed to a selection of designs. I chose my design and it was a beautiful pink and white flower. When it was time to do the design, I was told by the owner "she will do a pretty flower for you". I was thinking it would be the pink and White beautiful flower as in the example they had displayed. The lady ended up doing a black flower design that looked NOTHING like the chosen design. Wasnt what I asked for at all. If you can't do the design, say so! Disappointed for sure. Read Less

I have been to both Mt. Park and down town L.O. my shellac at Mt. park lasted 3 weeks +, pricing was confusing but I did get a neck massage.  l got a shellac down town 1 week ago and its chipped or pealing.  Not sure if I could get them redone or just never go back! Read Less

Lily and the older gentleman there are my favorite people to go to (not that everyone else doesn't do a good job, they just happen to be mg fave)!! The layout and decor definitely makes you feel like you're at a nice spa- very different from a lot of other nail salons that I've been to.
