Worst experience I've had in 5+years of getting my nails done. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in on a Friday (my only day off) which I understand tends to be a busy day but when you're paying for a service it should not be rushed just because there's others also wanting their nails done. I was recommended by a friend because she always has a good experience. When I showed up early to my appointment which was at 3pm I still had to wait. That was fine because like I said I understand it's busy. I had a set of acrylics from my regular nail tech (Tam from Forever nails, go to him instead). I asked them to remove my nails and do a whole new set, instead she files them down and leaves a huge part of acrylic from the previous set and puts a tip on top of those! Didn't straighten out the nail, left them super THICK and bumpy. The colors were fine but I just was not happy with the service I got for $55.00 I'm very disappointed and will never be coming back here. Read Less

I came here for the first time today and was very impressed. Bree did my nails for my wedding and it took two hours but they looked amazing! She didn't rush through it at all despite the fact there was a line of at least 8 people right at opening (on a Thursday believe it or not). Clearly this is the place to go. Great prices and great service. I also got my lip and eyebrows waxed. Great job on that too. I will definitely be coming back in the future and I recommend this place to anyone looking for expert nail artists. Read Less

Constantly screwing up my nails and cutting me. Don’t bother making an appointment you’ll be waiting 30 minutes to be seen anyway. You can’t even wash your hands in the bathroom because they’ve just been filling their soap container w water for 2 months now. I use to go there all the time but the last person who did my nails did a crappy job and it was just a fill since I already have the white tips. I use to pay an extra $10 for shellac but every time I do it always seems to chip faster. Yes they say they would fix it but that’s the last thing I want to do is go back in to get my nails fixed when it should be done correctly the first time. Read Less

Had my nails done for the first time in almost two years. My appointment was on time and woman that did my nails did a great job. I wouldn't say she was overly friendly since she was either on the phone or talking to co-workers. I didn't mind since it was early and I wasn't very chatty myself. My friend went to get her nails done today and she asked if she could get pointy nails. They said they can't do that. She said ok. They cut her fingers a couple times and when she picked out a color she wanted the nail tech took it upon herself to paint a completely different color on my friends nails. When my friend mentioned that wasn't the color she wanted the nail tech said this color looks better. They also didn't put the plastic tip on there to make her nails longer like she asked. They overbooked. Everyone that came in for an appointment had to wait at the very least 30 minutes after their planned time to get their nails done. My friend was to nice to say anything to them. I loooovee how my nails came out. I came to Solar Nails after a couple of friends visited and liked their nails. The place does not look very clean at all but they do amazing work. I was in and out in less than 25 minutes! That was crazy fast for a fill, and I looove how perfect the shape came out! I will definitely come back here as their service, skill and price are winning! Came here as a last minute resort to get a mani/pedi before a wedding I am going to attend and they did a horrible job. My pedi looks like my 6 year old niece did it, it's not smooth, but bumpy and uneven. I was hoping my manicure was going to be a different story, but it wasn't. I got French tips and the white nail polish doesn't even come out to the tip on my nail. (I'll post a pic.) I've been here once before and didn't have a great experience. I'll stick with going to This ones 4 you on Lancaster, over by IHOP. They have way better service, the price is better than this place, and you get an amazing job done. Read Less

First time here. Pedicure was bad. Barely cleaned my toe nails and cuticles. Water was cold. The nail polish I chose was old (without my knowledge) and was put on goopy and lumpy. Instead of stopping and asking me to get a different color, she just continued with the application. Looked absolutely horrible. I told them it was the worst pedicure I had ever had. Another lady came over and put another 3 coats over the lumpy goopy mess, instead of removing the lumpy, goopy nail polish. It was a color i didn't choose or particularly like, but I was stuck with no choice. The place was a mad house and just shuffling people thru like cattle. Gave a tip but shouldn't have. Now, I have been going to Solar Nails over 6 months and when I call she knows my voice. My mom and I have gone to Solar Nails several times. My mom went there this evening for a pedicure. She didn't check the temp of the water, assuming the staff would to ensure it wasn't too hot. The water was scalding hot and burned her feet. My mom is the sweetest person and NEVER complains. Solar Nails charged her full price for the pedicure. This is someone who has been a frequent customer. It makes me very angry! We will not be returning. Read Less

1-My pedicure was ok... they didn't ask what level I wanted... just rushed through it (I wanted the wax and didn't get it) 2-When getting my shellac manicure they wouldn't soak my hands saying that my nails were fine and that I didn't need it (my last manicure was 8 weeks prior) I know I needed it. She then rushed through the whole process. I had to keep telling her she needed to paint in areas she was missing, pretty much on every finger. And since they practically refused to soak my fingers to clip my cuticles (apparently to save me money) now it looks like my nails have been growing out for a week. 3-bottom line, when someone makes an appointment and isn't a walk in we shouldn't get a crappy experience and get rushed out of there. Usually love coming here...always came in as soon as they opened. This time came in at 12:30 with a friend and they were so overbooked they didn't start mine until almost 1pm and my friend at 1:30pm. My nails haven't even been on for 2 weeks and 5 have broke off. Also they glue your skin to your nails so it hurts when your nail breaks bad. They also seemed really rushed and the place was really crowded and full and they were not friendly at all they barely talked and the lady I had was very rough with my nails when filing them she also put some of the nails on crooked and you could tell when looking at them that they weren't the same shape. I just moved here from Wa and have been here several times. Ok the first couple times I went and got my nails done it was OK. This last time I got them done by the lady that wears the ear piece and well on Monday was my appt and on Thurs I went back because I have 4 nails that were lifting after 3.5 days yeah that doesn't work for me. They close at 7 and she told me to come back at 7, to me that meant come back when they are closed not good. There's are far too many nail shops for me to give that shop anymore of my money. So incredibly impressed with Solar Nails! My experience was wonderful! I love getting my nails done but I am a barista and my hands are constantly wet and around steam. This means that anytime I get a shellac manicure it peels off within a few days and the only way regular polish will stay on is if it's on acrylics.I walked in wanting a full set of acrylics and was surprised at how busy they were at 10:30am on a weekday! They fit me in though right away! The lady who did my nails looked at them and told me my nail beds were so healthy looking and asked why I wanted acrylics. I told her my reasons and she recommended I try a shellac manicure from them. I agreed and she started on my nails! She was very talkative and attentive and even recommended a little glitter ombré to make it fancy for thanksgiving! I still have my manicure on over TWO WEEKS LATER! It's just as shiny and strong as it was the first day I got it! I get tons of compliments on it and I highly recommend this nail salon! It's clean and the staff is wonderful! I Love this place the ladies talk to you joke with you and make you feel comfortable. you can tell that after a busy day they get tired and sometimes nick your skin it hurts but that's the risk you take getting your nails done. each persons nails are different and to go through hand after hand after hand. I have never had an issue when having an appointment earlier in the day and yesterday was my first later appointment and you could just tell their hands we tired but my nails are still gorgeous and the environment is comfortable! Use to come here a lot but the last three times now it's taken over 2 hours now 2.5 hours to get out of there. Waited for 45 min after appointment.  They are too busy and overbooked appointments. They didn't do a manicure just slapped on the shalac and it looked like I did myself. The foot massage was no pressure and short. Not going back. Read Less

Every time I have been to this salon I have had bad experiences. I had an appointment but so did 5 other people at the same time and had to wait an hour after my appointment time to even sit in a chair. I've been going to solar nails for about 6 years, and I've loved the service and workers. For the past two years, I've preferred making an appointment with Ming because she's very consistent and very talented! The ONLY downside to the salon is that there can be quite a wait sometimes, even after having a scheduled appointment. Aside from that, I would definitely recommend solar nails. Read Less

They did a wonderful job on my nails. I had an appointment setup, but I could tell they were busy so I had to wait a little while. It wasn't that long of a wait though. I'm always happy with the outcome of my nails, but somehow they seem to cut me every single time I get them done. I feel like they're so busy they just want to get you out of there as fast as they can so they can move on to the next person. I get it if I get cut once or twice but EVERY SINGLE TIME?? the last time I got cut she didn't even say sorry! she just looked at my bloody cut and kept doing my nails. I still tipped but not as much as I usually would. I can't give a review on how my nails turned out or even rate this business according to stars because I have went in there twice during business hours according to what times are listed on the door and was turned away both times and told by employees they were closed while other people were actively receiving services. I will not go back a third time to even attempt service regardless of the reviews. I am always super satisfied with the outcome of my nails. The prices are super reasonable. The staff is so nice, informative, nd very personable. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is bc every single time I make a appointment I'm always waiting at least 10-15 minutes before they even start on me. Love this place, they're fast and great at what they do... once it's your turn. Until then you may sit and wait 30 minutes whether you had an appt or not. If they were more respectable of people's time and appointments I'd give them 5 stars, but they've made me late on more than one occasion and that's when i had an appointment. Tried this out today after hearing good reviews. I showed them a picture I wanted and except for the owl, she was able to replicate it. She did a quick, fast, even job. It was kind of crowed and they were 20 minutes late for my appointment. I would give more stars but she cut my finger pretty bad and it stings. Had a Mani-Pedi and eyebrow wax today. A+ for getting me in with a same day appt (within 45 min) but when I arrived, they were running late and I ended up having to wait about 20 min...meh. Also, I am only picky about two things: cleanliness and length of massage. Solar Nails dissappointed me in these areas. You can quickly pick up on comfort and the up to date products, and they lacked.  I felt rushed (even in my wax) and the hand and foot massage were nothing to write home about. I've experienced better at local salons in Keizer. But the owner is really pleasant and has great customer service. Read Less

I tried the nail salon--lured by reasonable prices.  A manicure was was $13 and a pedicure $23 (i think those were the prices).  The staff were friendly and gentle and I had no problem getting a same-day appointment for a friend and myself.  However, the smell of nail polish was so powerful upon walking in that I felt a little light-headed at first.  Also, my manicure was really quite bad.  I highly reccommend the pedicure though.  Lesson: you pretty much get what you pay for (and stay away from the French Manicure--its not worth it at all, the paint chipped off almost entirely within the first 24 hours).. Tina Dang who owns the store is a very friendly woman as is the rest of her staff. They are very attentive and are very delicate on the hands. The prices they charge are not ridiculous at all, for a manicure it was only $8 and an eyebrow wax was the same price. I enjoy going to this place for their service and for the affordable options. I notice however as of late I have to wait more often because of customers constantly coming in for treatments. Read Less

Its a contagious smile out here in Keizer with a happy staff and good prices. There seems to be more and more folks coming out here, however, the parking is so small that one would have to park next door to even remotely get close.
