I was quoted $33 for pedi and $45 for mani when we finished and went to the counter she said $100 and would not back down after 3 tries. Then when i did pay i asked for change for a tip and she said she didnt have change so she would have to ask another technician when she was finished with her client. Then laughed and said "You need change for this!?" as if my tip was nothing. They look trashy, peeling in 2 days with paint that looks like a kindergartener had a go at my nails. I usually like coming here. But 2 weeks ago my nail tech named (Huan) cut my finger from filing my nails, just looked up and didn’t say sorry. my nails aren’t even the same length by the way! HORRIBLE customer service. And they make such a big deal about making your nails perfect and they don’t ever come out that way. They did try and fix my nails. And insisted that I had colored my hair and that was the cause of my nails staining. All they did was buff my nail and repaint it. It still had the stains show through. Been going here for years now faithfully but lately I’m getting very frustrated. I work 3 jobs so my windows of free time to do things for myself are very limited. I’ll come in, it’s busy so I ask to schedule an appointment later that day. So when I drive all the way back thinking they will be ready at the time we agreed upon, they tell me it’s another 20 minutes or they have me sit down and I’m waiting for half an hour and nobody shows up to do my nails or to let me know what is going on. I got a so pedicure and a gel manicure. The results were pretty good, complimentary beverages are a nice touch. However staff was a little pushy about not accepting when I did not want to upgrade my pedicure or add nail art. I ended up okaying an ombre glitter I didn't really want that was a little sloppily done. I could never support a salon who forces someone to wait over 20 minutes past their appointment time and then tells them that because they're in a wheelchair they wouldn't provide service to them. My sister has been a client of theirs multiple times but apparently today they didn't have the patience to work with her so she could get her nails done. It's disgraceful. I get my nails done every two weeks and tried this salon because of a recommendation from a friend. Made an appointment 24 hours in advance with Van. Received a phone call from the receptionist 45 minutes prior to my appointment stating that I'm no longer with Van, but another nail tech. The receptionist also informed me that if I couldn't be there in 15 minutes, 30 minutes prior to my original appointment time, that they had no other openings for me. Not a big fan of this nail salon. A co-worker recommended this place and said that they had low prices, good manicures, and free drinks. My little sister was visiting from out of town, so we scheduled a 1030am appointment to get our nails done. They rushed through our manicures and we were out the door by 1045. Less than an hour after leaving, we both noticed bubbles in the paint and chipped pieces of polish. We had a super busy weekend planned and didn't have a chance to return to have them fixed. It is now 2 days after I had my nails done, and at least half of my nails are missing big chunks of polish. This place has great prices, but at least in my experience, it sacrifices the quality. Took my daughter and niece there today to get their nails painted. The one doing my nieces nails got sarcastic with my niece for changing her mind on the color, and the one doing my daughter's nails was rough with the nail file. At no point did they have a conversation with my girls, instead they kept on making faces, annoyed I'm sure and speaking in their language. Unfortunately we can't remember her name (she was shortish, blonde and had quite dark eyebrows) but she was so lovely and gave our eyebrows the best shape/tint that we have ever had. Not at all a pampering or relaxing pedicure experience. The room temp was chilly and the water tepid, the wax too hot yet poured directly onto the skin, and it would appear excoriation had been mistaken for exfoliation, because they nearly drew blood. In addition, the staff ranged from bored and indifferent to abrasive and openly irritated. I tried Vive nail salon for the first time last week and loved the place. It is a clean,cute salon with friendly staffs. I liked the service especially the feet massage. I wear heels all the time so they really hit the spot!! The location is a little hidden even though it is right inside the trader joe's, safeway center. I think they know their disadvantage that's why their price is low, but hey, I like it even better. Oh, ask for nail art if you have extra bucks because it looked great on my hands and feet. Love this salon. The atmosphere is very soothing, quite and relaxing. I love the soft background music. I almost felt asleep every time I get my pedicure done. I have to disagreed with the Alicee about the rushed service (i think that's what she want to say). I've been here four times already and I've never felt rushed. Definitely the cleanest salon and well maintained and decorated nail salon I've been to. My nail artist was very friendly and helpful during my visit. She explain alot of things about my nails and the different choices I've can do that none of the previous salon have ignored or never mentioned to me. Yes, they have remodeled and they're now known as Vive Nail spa. The salon is completely different. I love the way they remodeled the salon. It's quite, soothing, and very relaxing. I feel like i was in a spa instead of a nail salon. Very impressed with the new image. In addition, all their equipment is new and i heard from my nail artist that they're going eco-friendly with their products and equipments. That's great to know that they are going GREEN. Like usual, i swing by the salon to check if they have time for a manicure. I was shock with the new image and the new faces. I thought i walked into the wrong place. I recall the last time I've been at this salon, it's wasn't this clean and pretty. Everything completely changed, even the technician. Well most of them. I love their new image, it's very spa-like and upscale. At first, i thought this must attach a hefty price tag to the change, but the price was unchanged. In fact, i got a good price under the new management. The technician that help me was friendly and well mannered. She talked me into getting more than a manicure that day, but i've a great time. I had a great time at this salon. I got new solar nails set and a deluxe spa pedicure at this salon and i must say my hand and feet look great and i feel wonderful. I had my nails done at other nail salon, but this salon got my vote for exceptional sanitation quality and a tranquil atmosphere which is a plus for me. I was recommended by a friend to try them out because they specialize in solar nails and i love solar nails. I am glad i tried them because they does a great job. I was suprise the moment i walked into the salon. It's very spa like and the customer service was very friendly. The salon was clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. I like the soft music playing in the background while i get my deluxe pedicure done. I love their pedicure lounge. The spa chair massage is one of the best i've have experience. It seem like they just remodel because everything was brand new. They have a special on monday - wednesday for spa pedicure for 22.99, spa manicure & pedicure for 32.99, and eye brows wax for 7.99. The manicure was was done well - not outstanding, but not terrible - but the customer service wasn't that great. The manicurist barely said two words to me, even though I tried to engage her several times in conversation. (I could tell English wasn't her first language, and maybe she felt shy about speaking English. I enjoy conversing with non-native English speakers, however, and hoped that she would at least feel comfortable saying hello.) When the manicure was finished, she left me to dry under the light, and never came back. When I figured my nails were dry enough, I got up to leave and she didn't even look at me from the couch she was lying on as I walked out. All in all, I probably wouldn't go back.
