I just got my nails done here. They were able to squeeze me in no matter if I was a walk in and they were so busy! So I give them 5 stars on that! But as busy as they were I would of hoped they would of stayed professional. I asked for the acrylics and a pedicure. The lady with glasses started on my nails, but she was very rough with my nails and hands... Im actually still sore from her being so rough with me. I don't always get my nails done but the times that I have, I've never had a bad experience in that way. I asked for the coffin and I was changing my mind on colors. Their was another lady that was waiting to get her nails done and as soon as I got up to find my color she brought the other lady to the chair (while my nails weren't even done yet) I didn't mind cause I assumed she was only seating her there so she can have a spot after me. But I had to sit in the waiting room, as I was waiting I was then told to go soak my feet to get a pedicure. I was like okay. The lady that did my pedicure was so amazing! I believe her name is Cici, she was apologetic about having me wait. They were beyond busy with pedicures and she was running in the salon trying to suit everyone's needs. She not only did my pedicure but when I changed my mind about the color again she didn't hesitate to get me what I wanted. The pedicure felt so nice. The lady that was first doing my nails and actually started doing my nails as I was getting my pedicure... She didn't take me back to the seat to carefully put the nail polish on, she just put it on without taking her time. When I mentioned to her that she missed a few spots she got irritated and left and said that Cici will finish my nails.. I polite and understanding that they were busy but I am paying for my nails to look nice.. Cici didn't hesitate at all. Even when I asked for another coat she did it and was so sweet about it. D’Lux nails have me a horrible meighmare of an experience I got my nails done less than a week ago and 2 broke so I went in to get them fixed and the lady said they were busy to come back at 4 this was at 2 so I came back needless of the fact I was gonna be late to work and the older lady was totally rude I was standing there for over 10 minutes just standing until the man asked me what I needed after I had already asked one of the ladies if they’d like me to set an appointment because they still seemed busy she told me she dosent know what I’m talking about and they have nobody to help me because I “just walked out” which I didn’t I told her I was coming back I was just gonna be late . The staff is great-Makes an effort to have a conversation with you during your service. I came in late and they stayed over an hour to finish my nails and do a pedicure-and still made sure to do a great job! The woman who did my nails asked me what I thought after every step (length, filing, shaping, etc) and if she needed to make any changes before moving on. I was really disappointed with the service here. My friends got me a gift certificate (which legally should not expire before 5 years). It was misplaced and as soon as I found it I brought it in! They said it expires after a year and I was four months late. The girl I talked to told me to talk to the owner! I told him the situation and asked if there is anything they can do since I just found it and my friends spent so much money to treat me there. He said there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. I've worked in many service industries and if you are the owner there is always something you can do. Love this place. Prices are on par with everywhere else, I always pay the same for my service (no surprises) and the quality is great. I get acrylics with gel polish. The lady I visit, she comments how I never have lifting (I did in other places) and she always does a great job! Best quality I have ever gotten, after trying numerous other salons. I always get a nice glass of wine to drink while she gets to work and she's always friendly. When I call in, I generally make same day appointments and even the other Team Members are friendly. I won't share who my nail lady is, I'm selfish like that!IMPORTANT: All of these complainers don't seem to understand something really important. Your nails are only as good as your technician. I found this nail salon through Yelp and chose it based on it's proximity to my house. I have been there two times and both times they were able to get me in on the day that I was calling in. My first visit I had an acrylic backfill and major repairs were needed. They were able to fix my multiple broken nails and complete my appointment in less than an hour.My second visit I got a pedicure and it was delightful. I received a free beverage with my standard pedicure ($25)  that included a lovely hand massage, heel scrub and gel polish. They have massage chairs which is half the reason I book pedicures. My technician was lovely and really took extra time to make me feel comfortable.I will be back. Read Less

Went in for chrome nails, I thought after saying no sparkle that the powder she showed me was not going to sparkle after it was buffed out. NOPE I didn't get chrome I got silver/gold sparkle. And the product must be super cheap because with in TWO days they were pealing and a bronze color. Come to think of it she didn't primer my nail before gel base coat. $35 for gel polish that came off immediately and turned a horrible color that wasn't right anyway. I have gone to so many salons all over Portland and I don't live close to Happy Valley but I always find myself back here. I love that they never rush me and I always receive so many compliments on my nails. Nancy , Linda and Helen are my go to's but honestly they're all awesome. Horrible service.  All they care about is money. They try to get many customers as possible, they spend 45 mins on pedi and shellac. They even charge Extra extra more than other salons for shellac.  My shellac didn't even last a week. Very very disappointing. Read Less

I believe this is the best pedicure I've ever had! I didn't know what to expect when I walked in but I was very very pleasantly surprised when I walked out they spend every minute with you doing all the treatments for your pedicure. Ethan was just fabulous we didn't have to wait long we were offered a beverage when we sat down and everything was done  using very clean technique and brand spanking clean tools! Do not waste your time or money on this place! They are incredibly rude, over priced, and their work is terrible. I went in for a full set, paid more than I have ever paid before, and left with crooked, patchy nails. The lady who painted them didn't go all the way up, leaving my nails clear at the end. She was hesitant when I asked her for another coat, making me feel awkward, and then didn't even apply the coat where it was needed! They treated my sister terrible and cut her finger in multiple places. We both left highly dissatisfied and super stressed. Not only that, my sisters card got charged twice! I went for a fill in of my almond shaped acrylic nails and gel polish.  The sign in the salon says a fill is $17.  When I paid  was told that a fill with gel polish is $30 PLUS $3 for the almond shape (which I already had coming in) AND I did a design (three gold stripes) on my ring fingers which they charged an additional $7 for.  So total I paid $40 plus tip.Normally I pay about $15-$17 for a fill, $5-$10 for gel polish and $5 at most for a design.  Not only did they upcharge for everything but they didn't tell me about any extra charges until i went to pay.  AND i have NEVER paid extra for almond shape.  When I was paying I asked to explain the charges and a lady came up to me and my sister and said "what are you arguing about?!?".When I finally just gave up asking them to explain the prices and why I was paying for a nail shape I already had, the lady charged my debit card TWICE so now I get to wait 3-5 business days for my refund to process.As if this experience wasn't bad enough, I left with 2 sore and bleeding fingers (one on each hand).  DO NOT waste your time/money at this nail salon when you have so many much better salons to choose from.PS my nails are cute but my sister's nails turned out pretty bad because the nail tech missed multiple spots on her polish so they're all splotchy. I have been going to this salon off and on for the last twenty years. The prices are reasonable. With any salon you will get different levels and quality of service based on the experience of the person providing the service. They all follow standard procedures, some techs are better at manicures while others are better at pedicures. Often that is the reason you will have two different techs if your having both done. Also if there is an issue with something while you are there, be an adult and speak up. They will take care of the matter immediately. If your not happy with something and do not say anything so that they can fix it you have no right to complain.... Read Less

My pedicure was done so fast. They scrubbed the bottom of my feet for less than a minute. They had appointments coming in and they asked if I could wait 30 minutes I told them no I'll come back so they talked to each other she said she could start and someone else could finish. If they were going to rush they should have let me leave and get a pedicure somewhere else. A lady was there before me getting a pedicure and I left before her! I came here to try out a new nail salon, and was pretty disappointed. I did not feel welcome at all. I asked for a regular fill, and wasn't completely disappointed on the state is my nails after wards -- BUT she made me bleed because she wasn't paying attention, she was messy when painting my nails and didn't even fix it, so I had to do it myself when I got home, and filed my nails unevenly. I've been to plenty of nail salons but have never found one I wanted to go back to. I came here with my mother in law and we both got manicures and pedicures. My technician, Linda, was fabulous: very detailed and conscientious the entire way. She did an outstanding job on my pedi, and I received the best manicure I have ever had from her. I love the customer service I receive everytime. Today Helen is doing my Shellac pedicure,as well as manicure, great massaging wow! She shaped and her attention to detail is amazing. Heidi and Mimi are wonderful nail artists as well. They used some of my pinterest nail designs and perfect detail work. I wish I could give less than one star at this point. I recently went to this salon after I had an appointment fall through for a bridal party. I was getting married the 21st and had a group of 8 ladies with me getting varies kinds of manicures and pedicure treatments. They took us in and made us feel welcome at first. I asked for a deluxe pedicure, and the lady was going incredibly fast through it. Over half way through, she looked at me with almost a smug remark and said "you're the bride?" In which I replied "Yes, I get married tomorrow." Then a few of the ladies were talking amongst one another in their language and laughing. It was only after she found out that I was the bride that she actually took her time with the massage. She also filed my toe nails down very short, which I was not happy with. After the pedicure was done, she took me over for my manicure, leaving my purse and shoes over at the chair where they had already sat someone else down at. When that individual was going through my purse, I noticed it was left and I yelled for someone to get it. After this, she kept pushing me to get shellac nails done. I kindly replied that I didn't want to due to the fact I enjoy painting my nails frequently. All was done and she told me I needed to dry my nails for a minimum of 40 minutes! What?!Again, she didn't grab my purse or shoes so I had to carry them myself to the drying station, which caused my nails to smudge. When I asked the lady if she could fix it she scoffed and painted a thick coat over it. Keep in mind this was for my wedding day. I rarely treat myself and I felt as if I wasn't an important customer. To make matters worse, 6 hours later while packing my bags for my honeymoon after my rehersal dinner, I looked down at my nails and my toes were smudged and all my nails had smudges on them. What kind of polish do you use when it doesn't dry for over 6 hours. And I put drying spray on it. One of the ladies noticed while I was there that I was upset the girl didn't have time to fix my nail properly, so she gave me a free lotion bottle for bringing in 8 people of business with me. A free bottle in which my nail artist tried to charge me for when I wasn't leaving much of a tip. I shouldn't have paid at all. I regret keeping the color on for my wedding pictures, and I took it off the second day of my honeymoon. I was so disappointed. Never again will I take my service here. Read Less

I'd never had acrylic nails (with Shellac) until this year, but now have been trying different places around the Happy Valley and Portland area. So far, this has been the best set yet. I realize it depends on the individual doing the nails, but I believe it was Christina here. Nails were thin and even (I've had thick and uneven nails at some places). Also, she didn't cut me. So I hate to give a bad review but.....so I called ahead of time to make sure they had time for a shellac manicure and acrylic nail fill for a friend of mine and me and they assured me they did and told me to come in at 4 when we got there they acted like i called the wrong number till I pulled up there phone number in my out going call log  so we waited 20 minutes cus we were already there when I sat down to get my shellac my nail tech was in a total rush and they came out sloppy looking I could totally tell she did not want to be there or doing my nails way to make your customers feel welcome lol I did not have a good experience there at all! Thumb nail is shorter than it was before fake nails, flare of the nails, and when I asked for them to just take them off they told me no and filed down the sides until I couldn't handle the pain anymore. I am so happy with this place! There are nail salons all over town and mist disappoint. Today,  I had some errands to run and happened to see this salon. They were very busy but got me seated quickly. The gal who did my nails did such a great job!
