Had the rudest nail tech. She asked if I wanted square or round, I said "square, but more like the coffin shaped" I don't think she heard me say coffin because she was laughing at something across the room. she put the acrylic on and then asked again if I wanted square. I again said "coffin". She immediately stopped, and yelled "What?? You need to tell me earlier! Now I have to spend more time, OH MY GOD!" I said "I told you but you must not have heard me" she agrued with me that I didn't and insisted I said SQUARE. And then aggressively filed my nails while shaking her head and puffing. I've never felt so extremely uncomfortable getting my nails done. I didn't quite catch her name but i think it was Katie? The attitude was absolutely unnecessary and made an unforgettable experience. Crystal nails is a wonderful place to go for a Mani, Pedi, waxing, and even eyelash extensions! They're all so friendly there and very welcoming! I regularly have my nails done (mani and/or pedi) at Crystal Nails (~1-2x/month). This is a great group of women who work very hard and care about the happiness and satisfaction of their customers. They care about the quality of their work and will spend the extra time to make sure your experience is excellent. As part of my job I wash my hands a lot... (I work in healthcare). The frequent washing causes irritation and premature chipping of polish (regardless of what type). Thankfully, these women found a solution to my problem... and I didn't even need to ask them to do it. They picked up on my issue early. They started applying a different base coat. Now I don't have the issue and my polish lasts for several weeks. They are very receptive to feedback and eager to improve. I appreciate that. You should come and get your nails done here. Read Less

First time I came in, the girl was new and I couldn't hear her speak, she whispered. My shellac polish peeled within two days and they refused to fix it.Went in again today because my normal gal doesn't work on Monday and I needed them done. The lady doing my nails was eating, yelling in another language over me, and rough. She didn't say a word to me until she got mad my polish wouldn't come off after two minutes with the acetone on it. Blamed the girl who did it, said it was a bad job. I told her I prefer it to stay on and not come off in two days. The girl who does my nails doesn't have any issues getting it off.She went back to eating and yelling to the other workers. Didn't ask me what shape I wanted and none of them match. She put the new color over a ton of the old color and that was it. Gave them a second chance and won't go back. I don't understand the rudeness and blaming someone else for them not wanting to do their job. The two stars are for the location. I like that it's quieter and off the beaten path. Looking for reasonably priced eyelash extensions? Go see Katie!! She does an amazing job! I couldn't be happier. $60 for a full set and $35 for fills! They look great and she's fast! I had been hoping elsewhere, spending $150 for a full set and $75 for fills. I was never really truly satisfied and it was taking upwards of 4 hours to get them done. Typical nail salon, although there were a bunch of little fruit flys/nats flying around (not sure if it was because the door was open or what) the gal who did my nails was amazing! I would specifically give her 5 stars and the gel polish I had her do stuck around well past a month. Worst experience I've ever had. Every review with one star is completely accurate. They charge over their prices they advertise. She tried to charge me 55 dollars for fake nails with plain shellac polish. And before telling me the price she basically asked if I had enough money to pay for what I wanted. Who even asks that? Yes, I do actually, however, because of your attitude you can put regular polish on my nails and I'll go to my usual place tomorrow for shellac. No thanks. And since we're talking about attitudes, I'm pretty sure she was the owner or one of the managers—horrible attitude. And their appointments never start on time another lady confirmed. First of all, they appear to be clean and have a great color selection. However, they WILL gouge you on prices. I got a shellac manicure and paid $31, plus tip. They began to peel on day three! I waited almost an hour after my appointment time! I got a full set and not even 3 days later my nail is lifting about to come off also when they filed my nails down they left divots in my nails so they look gross up close. I also got eyelash extensions they looked okay, but constantly were stabbing my eye and I had them for only 4 days, then I got a stye on my eye from the irritation. She charged me 15 dollars extra for a fill. So i ended spending thirty dollars. Then not even a week later, my nail broke off and she charged me money to fix it. Well maybe if you did a better job, it wouldn't break over picking up a towel. Do not recommend. They also charge you for things like glitter on your nails, say its nail art. Worst waxing experience I've EVER had. I left with literally no eyebrows left and with the corner skin of my lip ripped off. I used to like this salon but my latest visit was horrible. I decided to pay extra for an "upgraded" pedicure. My legs reacted badly to the scrub the upgraded pedi offered. My legs broke out in crazy red rash from a scrub & I asked the lady doing my pedi to stop & not do the upgrade. She told me even though I'm not doing the "upgrade" anymore I still have to pay for it. I always ask for Mary because she does an exceptional job and creates gorgeous hand painted designs on my ring fingers. I have had both the applied nails and shellac manicures. Just got the worst eyebrow wax of my life :( told her to keep them thick and she made them very thin and short. I am a month out from my wedding and just hoping they grow back! Won't go there again. Made multiple of my nails bleed during a fill. Fill is made super thick and not close to the cuticles, making them look like they already have a grow out. It is cheap but this is why- lacks quality. Shape of the nail wasn't great either, I had to go back over it after. Wish I didn't give them a nice tip until I fully saw my nails. Read Less

Horrible!!!! I always scheduled an appointment because I have to find a babysitter for my toddler. And once they did a pedicure for 1 hour and 45 minutes which could have been just 45 minutes. And the lady who did my pedicure always answered the phone and newcomers. then she used a already used exfoliating bar on my feet that I noticed too late. So NOT sanitary at all. And you pay extra if you didn't bring your own set of tools. Another time I got a gift certificate to go, so I scheduled an appointment. I had to soak my feet for half and hour and they started working on a lady who came after me. There were few available girls who could do it and they were just walking around. So I just got up to leave and only then they acknowledged me, but i didn't have time to stay anymore, it was supposed to be fast pedicure. The service I recieved here was better than most nail salons I've been to.  The ladies, despite English being their second language, were courteous and welcoming.The establishment has nice decor and an open space.  The massage/pedicure chairs have cushy pads on which to rest your feet and the whole place was really clean.I would absolutely recommend this business if you're in the area.PRO TIP:  If you have your own pedi kit (nail file, callus remover, buffing block), bring them, otherwise it's an extra $2 to buy there. I am very picky about my nails... how they are shaped when being filed, how smooth the polish is, my cuticles being trimmed, etc. Isn't every woman who is paying to have her nails done? Crystal Nails is, by far, the BEST nail salon I've been to (which have been many in several states). I prefer french polish style on my nails and LOVE the new shellac polish which stays on for easily 3 weeks (or longer). I wish I could post a picture of the last mani that my daughter and I had done at the beginning of May 2012. I've been coming here each month for over a year now. And the place is very clean (something else I'm very picky about). Shellac french mani (for your own nails) =$30 and I usually pay 5 bucks for a tip. Prices are similar to just about every nail salon run by asians (i'm japanese). Only difficulty is that sometimes it's hard to understand them although they understand english just fine.
