I needed to get a fill and went to Nirvana nail salon to do so.  Annie started to do a fill on my nails and she did them so quickly that they were uneven and not the shape I wanted.  Then, she told me that someone else would finish adding the nail polish (Shellac).  When the other lady finished adding the nail polish, my nails were so ugly.  I told the nail tech that I did not like the nail polish and asked her if she could redo it. Very unsanitary and long wait time. Hurt my nails a lot and are very rough. They drill down my actual nail bed and kept buffing and budding and filing even when they were already very thin. I noticed she didn't clean any of the tools before using them on me!! Really grossed me out. Read Less

Not my favorite experience. I usually do my nails myself but was going on vacation and couldn't bring my manicure stuff so opted to get my nails done to last a few weeks. I already had my nails shaped how I like and had pushed my cuticles as I don't like getting them cut, but she still filed my nails vigorously even after I insisted not to. She didn't like they were slightly different lengths and kept complaining about how much shorter my index nails were, that I should cut them all. I had to keep saying I don't mind them like that, I enjoy my natural nail lengths. I brought my own glass file but they still used one from the shop. They didn't charge for the file, not sure if they reuse them but they kept it. My nails looked crooked after she filed them. I got a shellac French, $25. They only do the white tips here instead of the pink with the white, it may cost more to get a proper French. After everything she filed the end of my nails again, which I've never experienced before. I didn't think they'd last too long, and was surprised they didn't start peeling for a week. Overall they lasted the whole trip and I soaked them off at home after 2 weeks since they were peeling pretty bad. There was no wait to be seen, only one other customer at the time, it was awkward in there for me because it was so quiet. They did talk to each other a bit through the process but not as much as I have experienced in the past at other places, and it didn't bother me. Tip is cash only. I felt obligated to, so I still tipped even though I was a little peeved at not getting the manicure I expected and having my nails ravaged by their file. I'm just glad they lasted the length of my trip, and I only had one nail year off. I'd pry come back if I needed my nails to last again, but I much prefer to do them myself otherwise. Read Less

Tried this place for the first time. Not Impressed. First off the nail color I chose they were out of also Nails were very thin. Went home and within a couple of hours I had broke a nail. They fixed it the next day. The lady was not gentle when fixing the nail. When I told her it hurt she said sorry and kept doing it. I will not go back. Read Less

If I could leave a review with no stars I would! Went in to get my eyebrows waxed, came out with really uneven eyebrows! When she showed me my eyebrows and I said they were uneven she said "no I didn't take off in the middle" which I KNOW she did! I told her, she was arguing with me. She FINALLY admitted to it and said "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that, I can make it even for you" I didn't want her to touch my eyebrows at all anymore. DON'T GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE UNEVEN EYEBROWS! To top it off, she STILL had me pay for the jacked up service. Talk about customer service! Read Less

My first few experiences here were great. But today when I went in, it was awful. I got the royal pedicure and they didn't do the full massage like I've gotten in the past. Then I decided i wanted acrylics instead of a pedicure, and the lady didn't seem too happy with me about it. I even asked if I needed to make an appointment and come back later, and she said it was fine and I could do it now. It was my first time getting nails put on and it was a horrible experience. She was rushing to get them done and used a metal power tool to buff my raw nail. It hurt bad. My nails are still really sore and in pain. Some of the nails are crooked at well. She really didn't take the time to do a good job, and also hurt me in the process. It was not worth the $90 total I spent. I will not be returning anymore. Read Less

went and got acrylic nails done, they are very very thin, not something I have experience at different nail salons, no acrylic over the ends so plastic nail is exposed. did not file under fake nail so it is very rough, they look ok just not sturdy like an acrylic nail should be. it was my First visit and most likely my last. 1.5 days later one has completely come unglued. Also wanted a pink line on mine and all they had was red. Every product she used was almost out and did not look sanitary at all. Used old used nail files on my nails. Just very unsatisfactory salon. So far my experience has been not great. I say that because I don't have the words. This place is is friendly but so unprofessional. I call this morning and ask for an appointment for 2 around 5pm. They tell me they can't and and the lastest they have available is 4:45. They than they'll me they can accept the 2 of us but one at 4:45pm and the other at 5pm....... it is now 5:15 pm i am still waiting. My friend sat here at 4:40 got in they than accepted 2 walk ins. They made such a big deal about not being able to have 2 appointments at five. 4 nail techs and a front desk girl. I will take my money elsewhere. Thank you nirvana for being what I expected. If your looking for the everyday nail salon there is sooooo much better out there. Try rosy at bells nail salon on Powell. Very professional and always able to keep appointments. Went there without an appointment. The nail polish I had chosen was practically empty apparently (you look at sample nails). Two coats put on and it definitely needed a third or even a fourth coat. Got them done two days ago and you can see way too much growth already. Completely missed one side of my thumb. Could see my nail through the polish once I left the salon and was really able to look. It was my first time coming here and I was pretty satisfied. Clean place, nice employees, and relaxing environment. If you are going to go on a weekend I recommend calling and making an appointment as they do seem to get pretty busy. With that said I think they could have had more people working to accommodate the weekend business. Also, they only take cash tip. Amy, did my pedicure and while she is very nice; she cut my thumb cuticle so bad it has now become infected. I have twice had to lance it and put antibiotic ointment on it, it has still not healed. I used to come here all of the time but I'm never coming back..We got burned by their water when we got our toes done and then they were multitasking and doing other people's nails and left us under hot towels. Our nails got done and looked like they had two weeks grow out when we just got them done.Don't waste your money on poor service, go elsewhere Read Less

Came in with my wife and one of my bridesmaids before our wedding to get our nails done with solar nails as a wedding gift. The lady left our nails looking like they had a week of grow out on them my bridesmaid was  so upset about it because she just paid $184 for the three of us to have our nails done. My bridesmaid ended up going elsewhere to get hers fix while my wife and I just delt with it. Not the first time we had a bad experience there my wife and I went to get pedicures done they burned me with hot water and a hot towel then left me there waiting while they went and did someone's manicure all the while my wife was done and waiting for me. Nirvana Nails and Foot Spa in Gresham by Dicks. My friend was having her acrylic nails soaked off and paint her natural nails, and I was having an acrylic fill with gel polish. The girl started my friend soaking her nails off and then moved over to me. After she had filed down my nails she gave me a chance to look at them and see if I liked them. My index finger on my left hand was much shorter than the rest of my nails. I asked her to fix it and make it the same length as the other nails and she said once it was filed it was done, there was nothing else she could do about it. She offered to file down the rest of my nails to make them all the super short length. I declined this option because I didn't not want my nails that short in the first place, so I asked if she could just remove the nail and do a new nail to match the lengths of the rest of my nails. She declined this and said she couldn't do it. After a minute of talking she said she could do it but it would take at least a half hour to soak and then she said that I would have to pay for her to fix her mistake!!! (sounded like she didn't want to take the time do the work) I couldn't believe she was refusing to fix my nail in the first place but then to tell me I would have to pay for it?! so I said fine, can we just buff these out and paint them and not worry about the lengths, I would just deal paying $35 for crooked nails.. and she said NO! She said if I didn't like them and didn't want her to file them down then we were done and I just didn't have to pay for anything. She didn't give me any other option and moved tables to work on my friends nails. I told my friend that I would wait for her to get her nails done anyway, despite the bad experience I was having. The lady checked her nails and they weren't ready to remove yet so she disappeared to the back of the house. So I'm sitting there chatting with my friend about her wedding details, I'm her maid of honor, and the lady came up from the back of the house and told me that I needed to move and wait in the waiting area, she needed the table I was sitting at for her next customer (even though she was working on my friends nails, not sure how she could have gotten another customer...). I also didn't realize they would need the table I was sitting at even though there were three other tables available.. So I gathered alllll of my stuff, left my bride, and sat in the EMPTY lobby by myself. My friend, after all of this, decided she would just have her nails removed and not painted because she couldn't believe how rude the lady was to me. The lady finished filing off her nails and said she was good to go, her nails still had paint on them and were not buffed or anything! It looked like she had ripped off her acrylics by herself! Mind you, NO ONE CAME IN AND USED THE TABLE THAT I WAS SO RUDELY KICKED OUT OF. So my friend came up to the register to pay ($12 for removal that was left unfinished) and mentioned that she wasn't sure why I wasn't allowed to sit and talk with her since no one else had came in and we were talking about wedding details and the girl completely ignored her and moved her attention to the next person that was walking in. I've been here twice now and both times have loved the service and my nails/toenails upon leaving.   Annie and Amy do a wonderful job and pay very close attention to detail.  Annie did a beautiful job fixing a previous nail job from another shop and Amy did a wonderful job cleaning up my toenails and her massage on my feet and legs were amazing.  Make sure to bring cash for a tip, their credit card machine doesnt have a tip line.   I'll definitely be making this my regular go to for my nail care. I am really disappointed in my service at Nirvana today. I asked for white tip solar nails. They do not have white tips. I got clear tips with white powder globbed onto them. There are rough spots where they were not adequately filed and smoothed out. I do not like the way it was done and do not like the end result. They are bulky and look fake. I also had a pedicure. My nail technician had no personality, the massage was mediocre (the "jewel" fell off shortly after I got home, the art work was $5.00 a toe and not particularly attractive).  It cost me $75 and I am not pleased and will not go back. I have been here three times now and every time I am disappointed. They are always running late and I don't understand why they even bother to take appointments. One time I waited 30 min for a girl to show up to work. I am sitting here now, with my feet in the water and its 45min past my appointment time! I am a hairstylist and a busy mom and I understand the importance of trying to stay on schedule.They don't seem to try or even care. Also, they don't seem like they ever want to be there. Yesterday I was in there with my daughter for manicures.  Mine was fine but the girl who did her fill and polish was constantly distracted by phone calls and other customers.  She did a poor job on my daughter's nails with only one coat of paint and rough edges that were not filed well.  When my daughter went back to have them fixed an appointment was made for her for the next day.  When she went back in the girl was very rude to her and told her that that was the best that she could do and if she redid them it would look worse.  My daughter insisted on her fixing them and the girl did but spent most of the time on the phone and talking in a foreign language to the other ladies in the salon.  The girl had taken a before photo of my daughter's nails with her cell phone but after finishing them said that she did not need to take an after photo because she was right about them looking worse!  I have been there before for pedicures and I'm very shocked and disappointed by this service we received.  We will not be going back! I have to be honest, this is the second attempt at coming to Nirvana. Our first pedi experience was lack luster due to the massage attention (I like real massages not effortless finger tip ones) and even my toes which I get gel were shaped oddly and inconsistent. The paint job wasn't that fantastic either. Overall just an expensive bummer ($45 not including tip which I normally throw a ten down). But the person I went with was happy all the way around with everything she had. So we thought we'd give it one more shot  after all I have no problems speaking up and sharing my opinions and needs in a constructive and polite yet straightforward fashion.This time Nirvana  redeemed themselves and this I let them know too! We both got even better treatment then what she had received the first time. My Mom got Amy who really honed in on her feet and even worked out some knots without being asked! My lady Mary although very attentive and focused, here came the massage and it was decent but "light" so I asked her to go harder and boy did she! I love getting my nails done at Nirvana. About 6 months ago I got an AWFUL manicure (somewhere else) and my husband convinced me to go to Nirvana and get them fixed before we went on vacation. They filed my nails more evenly and did a much better job with the polish. Now I always go to Nirvana for manicures or pedicures. Read Less

It would have been a lovely experience but first of all I was told that it would be a half an hour wait for a pedicure and it ended up being almost an hour, and secondly when filling my toes the lady cut the tip of my big toe and I was bleeding really really badly. The disinfectant stung really bad and I still had to pay full price even though I now have a pretty deep cut on my toe. But the rest of it was fine. She painted my toes really nicely and the people were pretty nice. Read Less

The lady was nice, kept up a polite conversation with my sister and I. The problem that I have is that she left a nice gap from my new nails and my cuticles. What a lovely place! Everyone is super nice, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The prices r descent, and they are very organized. The salon may be clean and the ladies nice, but when I went in to have my nails done the lady didn't use sanitized or new supplies on me. She didn't push back my cuticles and reused he same towel for the girl after me. Stations were filthy and she didn't even uv seal my acrylic.
