I had gone into another salon on a holiday to get acrylics and they were awful. I needed them fixed badly so I stopped in here and she did such a great job filing them down and making them look good. This is the second time that I came to this place. Again, it's totally awesome with a best service ever. I chose the Deluxe $45 of pedicure (included the callus remove, sugar scrub, massage 15mins, hot stone, mud mask with warm towel, paraffin wax, polish change). I've been going here since November, but today was the worst.  I arrived 15 minutes early, no one said a word.  Told the girl I just needed to have my roots done and a fill for my nails.  She seemed irritated that I didn't want the highlights done again..had them done 4 weeks ago, and wasn't feelin' it.  Sorry.  while she is dying my hair, she gets a piece of hair fully covered in dye, in my eye...then admonished me for not keeping my eyes closed.  Really?  Then normally while I wait for the dye to take they do my nails...instead, the nail girl starts on someone who arrived 45 minutes after I did; who didn't have an appointment?  Final straw...she gets the dye out of my hair and there's dye all along my hair line, AND she doesn't even OFFER to blow dry my hair...just takes off the cover and says..."you're done".  NOT coming back...looking for a new place. I took my daughter here for a haircut. When I first walked in I noticed a bunch of nail stations with only a few haircutting stations. The first impression I received was that they mainly focused on nails and haircutting was more of an afterthought. My daughter only needed her layers trimmed as well as the length trimmed since she was trying to grow her hair out. It was a pretty straight forward haircut. However, it ended in disaster! The lady cutting her hair would just pull chunks and cut them, there was no systematic method or technique used. She clearly did not know what she was doing. From the bottom layer to the next layer was about three to four inches and then a bunch of varying  chunks of different lengths. I ended up taking my crying daughter to another salon where they ended up cutting off a lot of length in order to correct the damage. Do not go here for a here, you will regret it. Read Less

I recently moved to Gresham about a year ago and I was pretty hesitant on getting my nails done out there. I'm very picky... My mom suggested I go just to see if I like it or not. Mindy did a full set and it was amazing! Unfortunately she doesn't work at the shop anymore. I had a few different girls do my nails before I finally figured out who works best for me. This spot is freaking awesome. I came here several times, and I was totally satisfied with what they did. The decoration is perfect, especially at Christmas time. All of the nail tech are so lovely, and each of them is very professional. My nails always looked nice after being done at Fashion Hair & Nail. I really love sitting in the pedicure chair because it's comfortable and relaxed. Such a modern chair that I have sat ever! As a server, I know that sometimes we can not please all of the requests of the customers, but I know that they already tried their best. The first time I went here was ok. Rose did a good job on a fill. So I returned with a friend. We got Anna and Liz. One nail had needed a repair which was understandable because I went way too long for a fill. When Anna put the new nail on she barely shaped it! That finger was basically square compared to the rest of my coffin shaped nails. I noticed the acrylic she was using was purple this time. When I asked why she ignored me twice. Finally the 3rd time I asked she said "Oh it's solar powder, $2 extra. Lasts longer/won't lift" I'm like ummm ok? I didn't ask for solar powder but if it was going to last longer I didn't complain even though that was sketchy. The next day one was broken. Two days later another broke. I thought about going in to get it repaired but I didn't want to go back after she had cut my finger 3 times. She was careless and talked to Liz the entire time in Vietnamese. Liz over charged my friend and we were not happy. They could tell by the tip we left. When Anna saw she was lucky enough to get 3$ she got up and left. Didn't put my nails in front of a fan to dry or anything. Literally just left me sitting there. I didn't tell them my bf was Vietnamese so I knew they were talking shit when she saw the tip. This is a pretty average nail salon, plus a few hair stations and a wax station.  The decor is pretty dated, and it could use more frequent cleaning.  But I don't really care about the walls!Prices on pedis range from $25 up to $65. Upgrades include adding callus treatment, sea salt soak, mud mask, longer massage, etc. I wish they autoclaved their tools. They have fairly new massage chairs, which I appreciate. This helps when you're waiting 20 minutes for a technician. Today, my tech is Anna, who is friendly and capable. I did have to ask for a beverage. Here was my lite pedi for $25:Foot soak, polish removal, nail trim, file cuticle oil applied, cuticle push and trim, buff, pumice scrub on soles, paraffin wax (in bags), calf and foot massage, hot towel wipe, callus trim again, base coat, 2 color coats, 1 top coat. Highlights:She really did a great job on the cuticle trim, not shy at all.  Revisited again just before polish too. Good attention paid to nail shape. Smooth polish application. Unfortunates:Massage was pokey, and she rubbed incessantly in between my toes. Hot towel wipe? Why not a leg wrap?  She was kind of distracted, helping other techs and other clients while working on me. They have many manicure stations and offer acrylic, shellac, and regular polish. Read Less

One day My daughter and I were out shopping at Safeway and my Daughter who had it hair a haircut in 5 years decides to get a trim off the ends, The hard part of this is I had been diagnosed with cancer and she had taken care of me throughout the process, as a result at 15 she did not complete her 8th grade year. So now comes her freshman year and time for a trim. She sat down with an Asian hair dresser and explained she wanted a trim off the ends and some layers added to her hair, this lady saidShe understood and began cutting in the backOf her hair, meanwhile I amGetting a manicure with my backTurned. The lady cut 7 inchesOff my daughters hair. My daughter was so upset she couldn't stop crying. All the peopleIn the salon were looking at what a messThe lady had made of her hair, it was awful. I went for the first time and waited a few minutes even though everyone was sitting around. The nail tech spoke very very little English so we didn't speak at all. When she was about to be done I told her she had missed a coat on one hand (2 coats on one and 3 on the other). She didn't understand what I was saying so she asked for help from another person there. She didn't understand either, so I ended up with 3 coats and 4 on another. My boyfriend is a regular at this salon and he has enjoyed his experiences until now. A few days ago he went in to get his hair trimmed for drill. He asked for a 4 on top and the side a 1, she(sorry no nametags) had agreed and they sat down. He wasn't paying attention but then noticed it was much shorter than he wanted and said " I told you a 4 on top and 1 on the sides" she told him that a 2 on top and a 0 on sides was much better and much more military. He kept telling her that he hadn't wanted it but she insisted she knew best. He now has a haircut like he's back at basic and he isn't required to keep it that short anymore and is extremely upset that she decided what he was paying for. He asked to not pay for the haircut he hadn't wanted but the guy refused to let him leave without paying insisting that he had gotten a service whether he liked it or not. We will not be returning. I've been here many times and this is the last time I'll ever go again. I went in trying to get just a simple acrylic design for my engagement pictures this afternoon and the man who did my nails was not only rude but butchered them and had to re do them three times and I was there for over 2 hours. The ladies were also rude not on to me but to the other customers as well. I ended up leaving with wet bubbly crooked uneven and jacked nails and took my business to another location where they fixed them free of charge. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. My regular nail girl is on vacation, so I found this place here on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I was able to walk in and be helped right away. As other reviewers have said, they have a written menu card that you can choose from and point out your options- the workers speak very little English but were very friendly and welcoming.My 4-star rating is a combo of the absolutely fabulous 5 star pedicure and the more average 3-star manicure that I got. I can not rave enough about the gentleman who did my pedicure. He did a fantastic job, and the massage and paraffin treatment were divine. The manicure was ok. Definitely not the relaxing experience I'd just had with my feet. I specifically said I wanted "round NOT square" but unfortunately I think he only heard/understood the square part, because that's what I got. The quality seems fine, though. I'm on day 2 with no chips or wear.Also, there is a small sign posted that says "complimentary wine, coffee, or hot chocolate" but I was not offered any sort of beverage. A water would have been quite welcome. The massage chair was also a highlight.Overall, I was pleased with the value and experience. I will definitely come back here for future pedicures, but I think I'll stick to my regular manicurist for now. Read Less

Although I am not always in the area and go to other places on occasion, this is a place I will usually go out of the way for. Not only are they the highest quality beauty place I've been, they're the most consistent, as in consistently good. Even if I don't go in for months, they usually remember me. Sometimes,  by name. The nail, pedicure, and eyebrow waxing is consistently great, which are the only things I've been in for, but everything else must be good too, because I see people who must be repeat customers. Sometimes they'll come in to get their hair cut, and ask for specific people. Also, there is a hair salon pretty much next door, so if that many people come in to get their hair cut, it must mean they're good at it. They have great massage chairs for the spa, a "menu" of pedicure choices to pamper you, complimentary wine or coffee, and fabulous quality pedicures, with friendly people. The pedicure station is set up with kind of a Hawaiian theme, it's cute, and relaxing. Also, it's a huge nail color selection, and salt scrub collection. Prices are also reasonable, and on par with other places I've been. I've seen cheaper, but when I used to get my nails done, no one could beat this place in nail perfection. Read Less
