I needed an acrylic fill, and went here out of sheer convenience. My nail tech- Naya I think was her name, sat down and got to work. Almost immediately I realized that she was sick. Sounding very congested and just miserable. A sick person. Doing my nails. That doesn't sound bad at all! She pushed back when I told her I wanted my nails more a certain shape, and had attitude :/ She started trying to tell me because of the length /I/ chose, she couldn't do my nails that way (although all I was asking for was rounded tips but just a little thinner than just rounded). Several times during this she spent time to check her phone, make a call or two, and help a coworker look for something. It took an hour and a half to get this fill done. Cherry on the cake? I've gotten my nails done here twice and both times were fine. The first time I made an appointment, but still ended up waiting 30 minutes. The 2nd time I walked in and was helped right away. I got gel manicures both times and they both lasted a couple weeks. It would last longer if I wouldn't pick at the polish, but bad habits! I have been coming here for over a year now and will not be coming back. When I usually go in, I get a full set w shaping and gel, never more than 40 bucks. When I go in today, I didn't get any shaping or anything special, and she charged me 50!!! Ridiculously disappointed in how inconsistent the pricing has been here the past few times I've gone, charge me more and more every time. I liked also that she was very informative about how to maintain healthy nails. I'm very impressed with this wonderful nail salon. I received skilled nail care. I have given this place two chances now and both have been sub par. The first time I went in for a full set. All of my nails were different sizes and lengths. The polish was quite off from what I asked too. Asked about the student discount and they said "they assumed I was a student and already quoted me the discount?" Skip forward a few weeks I came in for a pedicure tonight and we had appointments at 515 two of us were taken back a few minutes late. While they grabbed other people and left one person in our group to watch us get pedicure. She finally got in at 6. This is the ONLY shop I go to to get my nails done. They are incredibly spot on about not hurting you during the process, providing you with exactly what you're looking for, and the prices are par none. Definitely a well put together shop! Read Less

My four questions when rating pedicures = 1) is the air in the salon noxious?  2) Does it cost less than $30?  3) Does it look good?  4) Does it last?  I've searched Eugene for a salon that fulfills these criteria, and I *may* have found it in Mini Nail...  This is not a luxury establishment, and the polish color selection is a little sparse.  I actually had trouble finding my color.  Also, the air was briefly noxious, but cleared up soon enough, so I didn't have to leave.BUT - my toes look good, and the pedicurist gave unexpectedly nice leg and foot massage.  If polish lasts a full month, Mini Nail will be my regular place in town, and I'll keep the review at four stars.  NOTE:  appointments seems to be ineffective, so probably better just to walk-in.  There's not much seating space, but the staff is pretty accurate about wait-time so you could leave and come back.  Seems to be a family establishment; the atmosphere was bustling and chatty.  Business was steady, so expected waits seem around 15-20 min. Overall,  the best and easiest,  affordable pedicure in Eugene. This place strikes the right balance... walk-in convenience,  clean enough,  decent hours,  friendly staff,  quality work. It's cleaner and better run than most of the cheap places in town, without being crazy crowded or needing an appointment.  Also,  great massage skills! My friend and I decided to try out Mini's Nails because we've been disappointed by the bigger nail salons in the malls around Eugene. I've found that it's usually the smaller, locally owned shops that I have the best luck with and Mini's did not disappoint!! We both did walk-in mani/pedis and we both walked out very satisfied with the work.I decided to get a regular pedicure with a gelish manicure. There have been a lot of times where I've been disappointed but this was not one of them. I loved the color selection, I chose a dusty rose/salmon color and it turned out great. It was simple and elegant, exactly what I was looking for.I will definitely be back, their prices are affordable and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the salon. This is the second time I have gotten an uneven low quality manicure. I tried to explain that my nails were cut and shaped unevenly and didn't get very far. The service I requested was a simple manicure and buff. Prior to buffing my nails they were filed over which scratches the surface to make polish stick. You get what you pay for. I've gone here a few times for acrylics and they've been pretty, but never quite what I wanted even though I explained to my nail tech. I will never come back here. I came to get acrylics with one of my friends and we were both overcharged and forced to buy a nail file and a buffer. When we arrived it was not busy, but we still had to wait almost 20 minutes for someone to assist us. One of index fingers is filed crooked, and the lengths on both of our nails are uneven. My friend also has an air bubble underneath the gel on her nail. The color of gel polish that was used on my fingers also did not look at all like how it did on the wheel. Apart from the subpar nails, the staff was incredibly unprofessional. The man who did my friends nails asked her if she was drunk (at 2 pm on a Tuesday), and yelled at his daughter to go away right as she walked in. He also had to take a break from doing her nails to go smoke, and interrupted the women to was doing mine to finish hers.Overall I would not recommend this place at all, the unprofessional service was very upsetting.I gave 2 stars because it seemed clean and they had some yummy candies. Legitimately worst manicure of my life. I went in for An acrylic fill and the just painted over it with polish without every filling it. I am always happy when I leave this salon. I don't even bother going anywhere else because the quality of customer service surpasses any other salon I have solicited. I enjoy the atmosphere and would recommend Mini Nail to anyone and everyone. Henry is creative and always has a new way to do my nails, which I love!! His wife is very pleasant and makes me laugh. Their daughter brings a ray of sunshine to the place and I have enjoyed the opportunity to get to know them over the years. If you are in a time crunch and need a pedicure they can usually get you in right away, same with nails. You can walk-in or make an appointment but they are very timely and do an amazing job!!! HORRIBLE!  I have gone to mini nails about 6-7 times because it's close to work and pretty cheap but it's always disappointing.  My toenails come out fine but the massage, scrub, and customer service sucks.  It's also offensive when they try to push eyebrow waxing on you by suggesting that your eyebrows are not looking good. This week I went in and was told it would be a half hour wait. An hour later I had to leave to get to an appointment and when I let them know I was going they didn't even acknowledge me and that I'd wasted an hour sitting there and was leaving without my nails done. I am sorry, but if all you want is a nail painting, this is an ok place. If you want a full pedicure with a foot scrub/massage and/or nail clipping or filing, it did not happen. I made an appointment and had to wait ten minutes until the man told me it will be a bit of a longer wait, about 15 or 20 minutes. The man then went outside for a cigarette break and another customer told me she had been waiting half and hour. So I just left and it ended up being a waste of my time. Read Less

After not finding a salon that was reviewed on Yelp (doesn't exist anymore or has moved "Artisan Hair Design") I was instructed by a friendly receptionist at NOVO who directed me to Mini Nails....a few blocks from this salonshe mentioned that most of the Novo employees went there, so I quickly drove over, there were two women working on One customer who was getting a pedicure, they asked me what I wanted, I explained I needed a Manicure and a quick eyebrow wax...they said ok an told me where to wait...I do not speak Vietnamese or I would have recognized the two women's conversation as being somewhat frazzled and concerned....I was given a bowl of cold water to soak my nails, after...I was then asked to come into the Waxing room as there was a few appointments ahead of me even though they have a "walk ins welcome" sign on their door....so I get One eyebrow done then this woman leaves for roughly 5+ minutes to help her partner with said Pedicure....then she came back and said she was sorry, cleaned up that eyebrow and ran off Again for another few minutes....at this point she mentioned all the "Appointments" again....then after the next eyebrow was Finally done, she sat me back in the manicure chair then started  to try and get me to wait longer or come back.... I was so Disappointed with my service thus far, I said why not give me a break on the Price and she scoffed at the notion. I moved here from Oakland, CA wheret I went to my neighborhood nail salon for almost 10 years where the 6 ladies working were super Nice, Attentive and Completely upfront about any schedule changes or discrepancies...not to mention I Have never had to Make an appt for a lil $10 nail salon....I had INCREDIBLY poor service, I will Never return, and would certainly NOT recommend for a nail salon to anyone asking!
